    @dreambrew Pretty close. The Big Bear is a bit smoother but the Prairie has a locker.

    @CrimsonBloodStar It really depends on several things. For deep water you need to make sure the transmission cover seal is tight and the drain plug as well. You may want to use a little silicone just to be sure.

    @Derek130b Years ago. We should be putting up those older tests next month.

    @jazza12b It is the same thing. The Prairie was released in the USA and was released in Canada as the KVF

    I have an 06 4x4 360, Very reliable never been to the dealer for anything. I am anal about maint. though, Top speed is in the mid 40's stock. Very good fuel economy.
    The oil light is also an over-temp light as well, and it has an electric fan and a huge oil cooler. Liquid cooling is over-rated. The check belt light also gives you service intervals. They are right about the vibration, I really haven't noticed it being low on power, but if that is your concern, get the BF650 w/solid axle.

    @CrimsonBloodStar Most belt-drive ATVs need to be modified with sealed covers and snorkel kits to work in deep water.

    @CrimsonBloodStar I think the Suzukis, Yamahas, and Kawasakis have the best belt drive.

    @CrimsonBloodStar EPS is new so it's hard to say how it will hold up, but I imagine it will be just fine - kinda like EFI, invisible! Locking in the front differential makes an ATV much harder to steer - obviously when you have the two front tires turning at the same speed but trying to also turn the machine that's what happens. Most power steering systems lessen this but don't take it away completely....

    @zippypinhead11 If that's the only two choices, I like the Prairie.

  • @ATVTVCOM

    @CrimsonBloodStar No EPS yet. They're a bit behind in that department.

    @dreambrew Why choose between just those two. Why not include a Suzuki Eiger, or better yet, a new King Quad 400?

    I want one so bad a kid i met at a mud bog had one and ive been in love with the prairie since to bad my parents cant afford one

  • @dreambrew
    @dreambrew 14 років тому

    @ATVTVCOM Because a local dealership has a good deal on these two bikes. If I could afford a new quad right now I probably would have a new kingquad or foreman. I would mainly use the bike to roll through flat muddy fields to get to a deer stand. So with that in mind, which one of the two would you recommend?

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  13 років тому

    @CrimsonBloodStar Just remember, the speedometers on ATVs are very inaccurate!

    What is better? 2006 Prairie 360 or a 2006 big bear 400?

    @LITTLEREBEL55 JUST DONT DO IT WHILE THE TIRES ARE "SPINNING"!! this will break the shifter gear in the fron diff... and possibly more.

    I have driven my uncle's prarie. It is a very good atv. You would buy this one if you don't want a big 600. I have hit about 55 mph.From what i know, it has not broken down . I would say it is very reliable. I don't know how it is on hills. I have been on a couple of rides in some fields near my uncles fouse that had mud and jumps. I live in lafayette, louisiana and my uncle lives in chataignier,louisiana which is like in the middle of the country. let me know if you want to know more.

    @dragata1 I guess your only hope is to get a job - mow lawns, wash cars, clean up yards, or do what-ever you can to earn the money for one yourself.

    Just wish they were liquid cooled, then I would've gotten one for sure. Instead, I got it's big brother monster, the Brute Force 650i 4x4. =)
