The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

Jake, are you sure that your vision becomes less clear in the evening because of the eye strain just like you described in your daily e-mails? I'm pretty sure it's because of the sun, in the morning it's the brightest and lights up the room extremely well, it's way better than using any artificial light you may have.

I remember (sort of) having 20/30 vision when I was 13 and I was upset at the time but in hindsight it was really good vision. I wasn’t guessing the 20/30 line and didn’t have any ghosting or double vision or anything though. If I could get back to that I don’t know if I would even care about pushing beyond to true 20/20 especially when you consider presbyopia. I’m in my mid 40’s now so it’s not an abstract what if that might happen 20 years from now 😂. Although if you do a lot of night driving then maybe getting that 20/20 would be nice.

Do you suggest wearing close up contacts for close up the same way with glasses. I'm considering getting contacts lens that are 1 diopter weaker than my regular contacts for up close. I mean I do it with glasses don't see why contacts would be different. I would just have to remember not to drive in them lol.

Wearing lower prescription does not progress myopia. In endmyopia, you wear a lower prescription because it allows you to active focus throughout the day. So for example, normally you could wear glasses that are a bit weaker say your 20/20 prescription is -5 but you wear -4 throughout the day. then for close up, you would have another weaker pair of glasses like -2.5 or something like rhat

For Angie's video I think the reason why it has a lot of views is probably because UA-cam has mostly a younger audience. In the comments you'll notice a lot of young people. People like it where they can to relate to especially if it's a problem they're facing (eg myopia). Also her being an enthusiastic young woman also probably helps lol.

You dont need glasses at all bruh. If you have a -0.5 prescription then it’s probably just the result of a ciliary spasm. Don’t use glasses you can really frick up your eyes. Living with .5 uncorrected diopters is perfectly fine. Thats enough for driving, reading distant text, basically everything. If you wear glasses and that -0.5 becomes a -1 then a -2 then a -3 you will not be happy. Be happy with your current vision it is completely average and wonderfully adequate.
