I'm going to be going into my senior school year soon, so between college and the longer protection time of the X songs in general, uploads might get a little spotty.

It feels like he's loyal to Sigma, but really just wants things to be straightforward with orders to follow.
He supports the war effort, but is happy to be away from the chaos until it comes to him.
He's also disturbed by the grey area of being the enemy of someone he respects, though he tragically doesn't see surrender as an option with his straightforward thinking even as he knows he probably can't win.
"Why am I afraid to the core when a good man goes to war?"
Because when a good man is forced to kill, he does so with great anger, for in so doing, he must give up something irreplaceable: His innocence. Seems like X has given up so much of it, that his levels of fed up have reached the point of being terrifying to witness, to hear Armadillo tell it. Well done on putting this together, not just this song, but a whole mythos of your own surrounding these characters ^^
I like how you gave Armored Armadillo your own interpretation, being afraid of X and his strenght, but at the same time, you also kept his character, being completely loyal to Sigma
I love the theme symbolizing the fear that Armadillo feels of X
Given how absurdly jumpy and fast the melodies in this one are, I was wondering how you were going to tackle it. Very impressed with the results! I love the storytelling of Armadillo feeling trapped in his own mine and paranoid of X. You always manage to weave such interesting stuff out of the little plot and personality there is in each of these bosses and it's really great!
I was not expecting it to be in such a different key than the original. But it really gives it it’s own identity. Great work as always!

I was blown away by this one. If this is the bar, then the other ones have one hell of a competitor to live up to
This song took an entirely different turn then what i expected. Just to be clear i am in no way saying this song was bad. To the contrary , it was awesome !
What im reffering to was the lore of the song. I had noticed in many of the megaman 4 lyric covers that the lore seemed to go hand in hand with the manga or a speficic origin.
In this case , in the manga armadillo is the complete opposite from scared . he is prideful and awaits X. ( even had a freakin sword at one point ! ) his main thing is all about pride of a warrior and ultimately ends up killing himself .
This cover however , shows a completely different character. One follows its pride above all else and the other one orders. Instead of looking forward to the encounter, he dreads it. Instead of standing strong and ready , he wants to avoid and flee. Rather than facing x as an equal in battle , it faces X the way a prey looks at its predator.
A very very nice twist on this character.
Beautiful story telling and melody.
Instead of chaotic and strong , there is something fragile about it.
Easily a spot in your top five covers !

Jesus Christ, wow. I did NOT expect this to take that route. This is definitely one of your best covers, and I absolutely adore how you can feel how scared poor Armored Armadillo is. And I may've said this already, but I love your characterization of X. It's alot different from mine, from what I can tell, but it's still absolutely spectacular.
By the way, I love the picture. Did you draw it? Or is it official art, or just some fanart from someone else? Whatever the case is, it's very good.
Yes! For mm11 and mm4 I did edits of the official art, but for mmx I am doing all original artwork!

Odd song better-suited for a chase. Not quite up to Spark Mandrill but you do the best with what you have. Launch Octopus is more upbeat so maybe that will be better. You can maybe try and bring across the 'mad artist' personality he gets in the Maverick Hunter X remake.
is it just me, or do these covers (especially this one) depict X as the villan of the story?
well, the mavericks see themselves as the heroes, so X would be the villain in their eyes, and they're the ones singing
