    12v phantom is not T-Power. 664 does not have a Tonader power circuit. It provides phantom at either 12 or 48v.

    The dual media slot is for FAIL SAFE redundancy.
    An error in one card will not show up on the other card.
    I give the SD card to the client as it is universal on every single laptop.
    The CF card is for me to archive as backup.

      Ruby Mickey sure is, but you can also use it for transcription MP3 on SD and Full WAV on CF for instance :)

    Very informative - thanks. One question though, when I pop my SD card in my mac I can only seem to see the master track. Is there a way to also give the client the iso tracks as well as the master? Or is it already setup in the metadata somewhere. Ta!

    Hi Matt, Any update on when that Production Sound Course will be available?

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  9 років тому

      All in the works still, takes a lot to plan specific courses to really go deep into detail with, rather than having one big course scratching the surface :), I do one on one tuition that you may find very useful and specific, I see you signed up to sound chats so just reply to one of those emails and we can have a chat

    48 khz of frequency rate is not ment to hear the top F for humans, check nyquist es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teorema_de_muestreo_de_Nyquist-Shannon
    the bit depth , is the headroom, in a 16 bit , where a bit is 6db times 16 is 96 db headroom
    still good video , thanks man

    nice. good sinstructive video. i was meaning to buy the 633 how would you compare the 2 of them? can't make up my mind ^^

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  10 років тому

      well it depends what you usually use them for in terms of shooting. also what you want to be doing more of in the future :)

    • @lionelbaldock9959
      @lionelbaldock9959 10 років тому

      it'd be to start off with something easy to use, more for documentaries, i thought the 633 was a pretty good lightweight deal :)

    can 644 be timecode jammed from an external device using LTC?

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  10 років тому

      carlos lopez no but it will record the TC on the audio track that you could change later. only via the LEMO 5-pin for timecode, or wordclock for frame reference at the back.

    Hello, how do you export the files directly to my computer from sound device?

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  9 років тому

      Miriam Geagea you can't just take out your SD card or CF card and use a card reader

    I have a 664 now, is it normal that the time code reset to zero after some time of power off?

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  6 років тому

      If you have it on free run and not 24hr run

    • @davidaliperti
      @davidaliperti 6 років тому

      Yes i had in free run mode and after 3 hours the blue led stopped blinking and time code has reset to 0

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  6 років тому

    "Daylight saving time"?

    • @soundrolling
      @soundrolling  8 років тому

      in the UK we put our clocks back 1 hour in autumn to save day light. so this will automatically come into effect on a given day.

    Hehe - warning bell level is not a warning to tell you your level is too low! It is the level of the warning bell in your headphones..
    Warnings are things like batt voltage, storage media low etc...
    I don't think you should be teaching people.
