Wow!!!!....this is a strong team-I am a South African and this team makes me scared.I will never shout for any other team in the world than the Springboks AND New Zealand. I have so much respect for New Zealand-I even have a New Zealand jersey and put it on when they play against any other team in the world besides South Africa. My long life dream is to meet one day Richie McCaw and Dan Carter. They were to me the the best Captain and fly-half the world has ever seen.All I can say to the New Zealand team-if South Africa do not make the finals-please bring the Cub back to the South-I will always respect New Zealand rugby

Still can't believe Brad Weber hasn't been selected once again ffs. He went to the last World Cup and has easily been our 2nd best halfback since then, it makes absolutely no sense.

The makeup of the team show's how they are going to play ,pace,speed run the opposition off their feet

This is a solid squad, as good as we could have hoped for but it's the QF that'll be the first true test of how good this squad really is
The first game against France will be the gauge on how our boys are doing, home game for the French as well, not going to be easy.

I really dont understand the selection of Narawa. You already got 4 wingers with probably 11.Telea 14.Jordan 23.Faingaanuku if in injury would happen Fainganukuu would come in as the winger and as the 23 someone who can cover center (AlB or Havily). Then you still got Clarke and a couple more players who can cover the outside backs. For me we are short on the lock departmnet considering reatlicks injury and number 6. Finau had put his hand up and cover 6 as well as lock.

Because Telea and Jordan need to be rested as much as possible, the other 3 will get plenty of minutes against the lesser sides in our group. But I agree that Clarke shouldn't be going but I hope he proves us all wrong

Plus 4 others who can all play in the outside backs Dmac, Havilli, Reiko and Jordie. That's a massive amount of cover in the outside backs.
I think a lock especially with Retallick injured is a weak area in the squad and also the halfback depth with only Aaron Smith being a proven starter.
Sam Cane was never going to lose the captaincy as long as Foster was in charge. Luckily he has a solid leadership group with Ardie Savea, Sam Whitelock, Beauden and Scott Barrett.

Sam is very underrated, does a look of important work around the rucks which goes unnoticed. Could easily tell we missed him in the first half against Australia in Melbourne.

The backs are versatile excluding Clarke. He's a great player, but only plays 11.

A good World cup team. The problem the All Blacks tend to make in every World Cup years is selected young and new players, star players with a lot of potential but lack of maturity.
The World cup competition is about experiences, endurance and cool under pressure.
I love the mixed of players in this team.

All Blacks have always carried a mix of young and old where possible, but we haven't always have the experience at times because in some instances circumstances.
This team is no different, there are still weaknesses in the squad like for example if Aaron Smith were to get injured then there's only Christie and Roigard to cover the halfback position.
Madly enough NZ v Wales final, the Welsh have a bunch of young lads, full of talent and some old heads in there, same as 2011 and the last semi.
They need to focus on the Australia game first, they are definitely improving.

I disagree with Mills, John regarding Havili, he doesnt standout as a centre, hasnt really performed consistantly at Test level, he may have played one / two games, consistantly played poorly, but the selectors stilled pick him, defence is weak as a centre, not a centre, there are specialist centres that are much better. I feel he is there for his kicking only, he hasn't done that well at Test level. Hope he proves me wrong.

I'm a huge All Blacks fan but....I'll give this team a 7/10. (Caleb Clarkre and Finlay Chirste) really? Finlay Christie does slower passing, and Caleb Clarke's defense is shocking.) The 3 extra players that will both warm up in the UK one week before the AB's land over in France will be....George Bell (Crusaders)/ Brad Weeber (Chiefs) and Senipeni Finau (Chiefs).

the best thing about this team (and ABs in general) is that the opposition tea will not know which player will be in which position on the day. eg full back could be anyone of three players. Similar for 9 and 10. And they have experienced players to close out games.
With the injuries to Whitelock & Retallick, perhaps they're rotated to manage damage, while Scott Barrett plays the other lock.
