I believe he is a unprofessional import sound engineer, or Post-Production Sound Engineer (One who doesn't make the sounds, but however times them, imports them and manages their volume). Similar to what I do on my channel, he does great work and should def mix for companies!
Man I wish animes put more of their budget on sound design, its a shame that such a crucial part of the experience gets neglected even by major studios...
Yasumasa Koyama has a ton of good works. He did the sound effects for fire force and jojo. (the list of animes hebworked on is long af.) but sadly most of them never got recognition. Until Fire Force and jojo. His best work is his sfx on the Fate series.
I just want this guy to get recognized enough so he can actually work for a anime studio..... Just like how the minecraft animator of spider man in youtube was recognized and they had him animate in the recent spider verse movie
Your work is honestly outstanding. I never underestimate how important the sound fx is, but you make the difference incredibly obvious. I am amazed. Honestly, very original, skillful and all around amazing content. Keep it up, can’t wait for more
Man this sounds amazing! And the way you edited the scene was great too. It would feel so much more cinematic if the scene was actually like this. A studio needs to hire you asap.
This stuff is so cool, I wanna get into making this kind of thing some day. The way the fire burns like a jet conveys how powerful it is in more than just the visuals.
Very great work, I could watch sound design video all day. As a great way to show people your work you should definitely put the original anime sequence first and then yours to help people figure out what has really changed and how better it can be. I would personnaly like to see in the future some one piece scenes (we all know how one piece lacks SFX) And maybe some bleach!
Right now, I put a link to another UA-cam video of the same scene with original SFX in the description. Because some audio are copyrighted and it proved to be a bit challenging to properly do a side-by-side comparison.
Awesome work bro, you should try do this with the black flash sound in Jujutsu kaisen or the scene when the Rasengan and Chidori colapse in the final valley (Naruto)
These are really professional. Awesome work Maple! Only thing I have to say is where are the stereo elements? Your designs are suffering from being so centered. Now what you've designed would work really well in a mix for the anime, but standalone, you need to expand! Keep up the awesome work!
I'm still working on how to do surround, stereo and all that - at the moment, I don't have many options nor methods in making them surround or stereo but hopefully I'll find something.
What sound libraries do you get your stuff from and how do you edit them?? you're a huge inspiration to a wannabe sound designer like me, i just don't really know resources for the good shit
For the sound libraries I use a bunch of Boom Library, SoundMorph, Blastwave, Hollywood Edge and a bit of PMSFX. All of which I've found from a rather dodgy website called rutracker and some archives. For the applications I use to edit them, they're mostly mobile apps. KineMaster, CapCut, and Lexis Audio Editor. Hope this helps.
Amazong work like always, can i ask you a favour whenever you finish a project could you share a folder of the sounds that you used, like just the raw sounds and post a mega file or payhip file link to it so I can use some of the sounds too. Other then that nice job and keep it up, i always like your videos cause they are amazing.
@@importedmaple Honestly, you’ve impressed me even more with the fact that you did this on mobile! Your sound design is already 🔥. Getting a PC is only gonna make it better!
I absolutely LOVE this! I'm just starting off in sound design like this as a hobby, though I haven't posted it on YT yet. Do you have any suggestions to get better in this sort of thing?
Sorry for being bland but in all honesty you really just gotta experiment, and keep on making more and more projects to slowly get a better grasp on what your style of sound designing is. Test yourself, like in one project you're doing a sound design for a normal fist fight, then the next you're sound designing a duel with weapons, and then move on to magical abilities and so on so forth. Some general tips to add on: - Add an ambiance whenever there's a part where It's just silence. - Whooshes are important. I really don't know what else I can add, sorry if it's not what you were hoping to get. Hope it's helpful.
I'm planning on doing all of the recent Monster Trio fights including Luffy Gear 5 and maybe some other gears. But we'll have to wait and see. Looking at them right now, they seem a little hard to do and will definitely take a lot of time so those might come around hopefully this summer.
Gonna be honest mate, I'm not looking forward in doing any collabs at the moment. I'm still a bit new to UA-cam and I'm not comfortable in meeting new people. Sorry - thank you for the compliment.
Oh my god thats insane. Anyways where can i also get these sound effects bro? I wass looking for bass and blood. Whooshes also, do you have a website for this?
You can get those from Boom Library and SoundMorph. I downloaded the sound libraries from a sketchy Russian website. If you want I can give you the link, but do bare in mind that you have to proceed with caution.
Wow! Auto subscribed. Just wondering if do you use adobe audition to to this? And how do you produce those sounds, i mean do you download those sounds on a sound library sites?
I got my sound libraries from a sketchy Russian website. As for what software I use, it's an app called Lexis Audio Editor. That's where I edit the sounds before I put them together with the video using CapCut
if you got time, please redesign the sound for one piece episode 1051 the haki clash! between luffy and kaido. episode 1028 too if you are so kind😊. im a huge one piece fan but the sound system is not so good…
Dio's time stop sound effect is already iconic and wonderful for the ears. I don't think I'll be planning to go there any time soon. As for how I did this, I get myself a few sound files from the sound libraries that I have, edit them in an app called Lexis Audio Editor and put them into a video using CapCut.

The latter is the most plausible. Selling individual Sound effects or sound packs might be too much of a workload for me.
