The Ship Clock is a wonderful, vintage, Mid Century clock. They did not use batteries back then but were plugged into the outlet. I would so have loved that clock.
I’m a child of the 60s teenager of the 70s so I really am enjoying watching your videos. A lot of the stuff that you are picking up are items I grew up with. So funny that you like the orange and brown. I can tolerate the yellow but having growing up with orange and brown shag carpet throughout the house, I don’t think I can take it anymore lol
Can't wait to see your 70's plate wall. I have 50's atomic design plates across my studio window. Would have picked up that cool mid-century wall clock!
I agree that you have a grate 70 s radar. I love that floral sheed Not to pale not to owerwelming. Those plates😍 I loved the red floweredvase too You love warm and cosy. Same style , righy up my alley
Isn’t it funny how we tire of things but then years later wish we had them again. I think that’s why attics were always a great thing. Could always just store it and go get it later or have it be an heirloom for future generations if you really did grow tired of it.
I’m not as familiar with the newer things that do well, but I have learned to look out for those things more. I’m so use to searching vintage for Etsy and the newer stuff for eBay is interesting learning. Thanks!
So that clock was amazing, and the 70s was all about wood bowl salad sets, you walked past, and you are right, I horde my 1970's pyrex and corning ware and various other USA made pottery. I love my Fiesta Ware and my McCoy
Great video, the clock would indeed have hung on a wall, the plugs used to be installed mid wall to accommodate the cord, as these were popular before battery operated, sometimes the cord just hung down the wall to the outlet :)
That floral & polka dot sheet... I knew someone who made her prom dress from that fabric, at some point between Autumn 1973 & Spring 1976. Thank you for the memory prompt. 03:20, 21 January 2022.
I just subscribed. Wow! You have a wonderful Goodwill in your area. I definitely would’ve picked up the robins egg blue fiesta tea cups and saucers for myself. I love that you shop for your resell and for yourself, I do the same. Love from San Diego California
Enjoyable thrifting video! Can’t wait to see your 70s design plate wall! I would have picked up the silver Crate and Barrel item with the tree. So pretty! I liked the red transfer ware dishes as well as the Charlotte plate. 👌🥰
If I had to pick ONE thing it would be that sheet at 4:20. I don't know how large it was but it would be really cute to use for a little kitchen curtain. I like the simple colors and flowers. I also love the plate at 10:57 ... so much so that I have them in my home. Really nice, heavy, vintage plate with a nice pattern and 70s colors.
The steins are all of different towns in Germany ( especially Bavaria an area in the south of Germany ), Innsbruck is a town in Austria😀 Happy Easter🐰🐥🐣
I started collecting the same plates that you had purchased. The ones with the orange and yellow and white flowers. It just reminds me so much of like the 70s. Maybe even the late 60s? I just love those colors.
I have 3 of the Spice of Life covered cookwear pieces all clean with lids! I always make sure to use gentle utensils, clean well after using, and use fabric protectors when storing. If I ever decide to let go of them I will let you know!👍🏼😀
The clock is mid-century. The Johnson Brothers dinnerware is appealing. Have been living vicariously through resellers channels., staying home except for the errands one can only do. Can't wait to see your wall. Remember regular plate hangars will damage plates. Be safe.
Hi! I love the small bells, though many people don’t seem to be very interested in them 🤷🏼♀️ Ride the Ducks was in Branson MO and a couple of other places in the US, but I believe they are all closed down now due to accidents and deaths. So, perhaps that R the D bell may be worth more than others at some point. As a fan of Anne, I love the Green Gables bell too. I’ve never run into any Green Gables items in my searches.
Nice video, your videos are always enjoyable to watch ♥️. At around 11.28/18.07 there’s a Chicken 🐓 Soup small bowl that I would definitely have picked up. I had one that meant a lot to me and a family member broke it 😢 putting my dishes up one time. My stepmom bought me a flower arrangement in it after I had surgery, and she’s no longer here. So if I ever find one close to me I will pick it up just to have. Keep enjoying yourself looking through all the beautiful history ♥️.
Thanks Daretta! That is so sad when that happens. I hope you are able to find one. I know how things like that can bring a smile to your face and help you remember good times. 🧡💛
@@NestingHaven Thank you so much @Nesting Haven for seeing my comment and responding😊.I love your content you always amaze me at what you come across and it’s so nice seeing some of the old things also. Have a wonderful weekend and be blessed…….🍃🧡😊🧡🍃
The german beersteins seemed to be souvenirpieces. Oftentimes small private breweries sell them with their beers or even give them away for free. As far as I noticed, most of them had the name of the beer, name of the breweries (brand) and either their hometown or some type of quote on it.
I would have picked up that Crate and Barrel item. You could use that pine tree server all year. People think of Christmas trees when they see pine trees but they are just trees until you make them a Christmas tree.....I think anyway! I had a friend visit me here from FL. She had never been to Ohio and she said so innacently Wow you guys have Christmas trees everywhere. lol
I’ve only ever had clocks that took batteries. I think I have seen alarm clocks with chords before but the wall clock with one seemed odd to me. Never really thought about it.
@@NestingHaven The motors in many can be exchanged. I have my grandfather's old Post office clock, that is now battery. I don't like the cords either. And clocks like that ship clock were often put above mantels where the cord wasn't as noticeable.
I am a crafter/ do it yourselfer. I can’t tell you how many boxes of treasures I have waiting for me to create with. If you don’t want to be donating back a bunch of stuff that needs more to become beautiful don’t buy it! You are really good at showing us what is on the shelves.
I feel like I’m not a very good diyer but I haven’t really tried too much. But it’s more of a time thing. I get these ideas and I talk myself into getting the things but then never find the time, then I’m over it by the time I have time. if that makes sense lol
Haha glad I’m not alone In that! I’m just not much of a diy’er as much as I think something might be cool. I don’t have or make time to follow through with that thought often. 😅
Grewt video. I've sold that crate and barrel party dish with the tree before. Around Christmas it sells for about $60.00 My grandmother had those same stoneware plates with the orange and yellow daisies. We used them for breakfast. Then at lunch her fine China.

YES, THAT CLOCK❣❣❣❣
mee to. Just a litle touchup. A bit sad you didn t bought it
Wow, you really are young if you’ve never seen a plug in wall clock! Lol, I guess, really, I’m just old!
Well now I know lol I had never seen one that plugs in before. An alarm clock yes but not a big wall clock. Thanks everyone! 😅

Loved the wooden trimmed love seat. I would simply add a long pillow in a complimentary color for the back cushion
Can't wait to see your 70's plate wall. I have 50's atomic design plates across my studio window. Would have picked up that cool mid-century wall clock!
Aww, I grew up in Bardstown, KY! Thats my home town :)
Oh! That’s awesome!
I agree that you have a grate 70 s radar.

Those plates😍

Wish I still had my 1980s stoneware dishes

The Charlotte plate is so beautiful and my favorite🧡
Thanks dawn!
That crate & barrel would have been a good one to resell. It usually does pretty well.

Lori........Yep!......I have an outlet up high on the wall in the kitchen for just that reason 👍
Wow, the cord down the wall is wild! Thanks for the info. I’ll have to look out for them more. 🧡💛
i would have picked up those 2 little saucers you picked up at 14:16 for personal use. those 2 unicorns you looked at were cute.
That floral & polka dot sheet...

Crate and Barrel is good stuff!
I just love watching thrifting videos! I thought the placemats were perfect for your style! ❤️

I would have snaveled that Charlotte plate too!
I love the plates. I thrifted a set of a similar 70s pattern for my own use.
I loved the 70’s flowered plates!!!
Me too! 🤗
I would have snagged the silver Crate & Barrel piece!!!!
I think that the fabric with the Blue Bow Goose is for pillows

I would have picked up the red transfer ware. I am just attracted to it!
It is really nice! I’ve always been drawn to it. I like the brown best though.
Good too see u again....
Thanks Margaret!!
The October bell has a calendula on it, the flower for October. I’m an October girl!
Oh! That’s why! I just thought it must be refreshing to see something other than fall for October birthdays. Pretty flower!

It does I have brought quite a few like that and they have cleaned up quite nicely
I use Barkeepers Friend on my Corningware and they clean up nicely.

Oh okay thank you, Kathleen!

I think I'm part of a dieing breed, but I'm still smitten with milk glass, and you never, ever, see it here.
You really don’t find it? We seem to have an abundance of it here. Though I do see it a little less than I use to.
@@NestingHaven I haven't seen milk glass, other than FTD vases in years
