Thanks for the tips on getting started with the Focus 3. I'm an intern at a company that does a lot of XR development and have been tasked with learning how to develop with this particular headset. This video really helped me out :)
We have a department with a number of Focus 3s. As a VR developer in education we build for OpenXR in Unity with the iTK. We had no real issues running our existing builds on the Focus 3. Although it’s a comfortable and premium feeling headset, I personally wouldn’t pay the difference compared to the Quest 2. Business streaming is the only reason we need these over the Quest 2.
thanks for your feedback. It's good to be able to build and run your app, but to speed up your dev testing, it is usefull to test your vr app in play mode directly in unity (i know that in this case it is windows platform instead of standalone android one). I didn't succeed to do it with focus3 but i can with quest. thanks
The VIVE UPM Registry plugin is kinda important since it's not directly OPENXR supported. 100% agree about the mask easily popping out... but I guess that makes it easy for cleaning 🙂
Sry,i have some question for unity.went i was built it ,i don't saw any device for my htc focus3. i also use my use to plug my computer and i have already to open usb debugging but it still can't to detect my device,it that have any any mistake or?thk a lot
Thank you for your tips! :) I have a general question: is the Wave SDK only intended for android/ mobile development now? All tutorials I find always switch in the build settings to android. And by now the packages in the package manager are renamed, the one for windows is called "VIVE OpenXR Plugin - Windows". Can I just "disregard" the tutorials for "wave"?
Very nice thanks - i personally hat a lot of trouble to set up the OpenXR in Unity in general. I use the OpenXR scripts for Input Action and CameraRig (not the UnityXR) - i face the issue on Focus 3) that on the right eye i see the black eye mask layer standing in world space as tall as me - anyone experience the same issue and if not what cameraRig are u using :) thx alot

When I followed your tutorial and build, the headset is upside down and frozen no movement! using the same headset as you!

Hi, I personally have never used Wave - only openXR so I would say that you could probably disregard...
