- My all time favorite leather hiking boot for the hikes I do here in the Canadian Rocky Mountains! Long term test review on these beauties and a hike! 🤠
Deep pull lacing for a firm fit at the heel
Chromfree leather lining
Genuine double-stitched construction: sustainable, durable, high-quality, handcrafted workmanship and fully resoleable
Special yak leather uppers - exceptionally robust, yet surprisingly supple
Clamping lace hooks on top section of uppers for precise and rapid lacing
Easy Roller: smooth ball bearing lacing system
Flex zone at heel
Leather lining for enhanced comfort
Shock Absorb: additional shock absorber in the heel
Love mine too. Absolutely exceptional.
I have had the same pair of Hanwag Yukons for 14 years almost. Used for hiking and in the winter for everyday use. You'll never wear them out. Best built boot.
Hi and thanks for the comment and info. Yes these boots are amazing. I have two different hanwag boots and they're both unreal👍🍻
Aren't the Yukons basically the non goretex version of the Alaskan's? Because I had a perfect brand new pair of Lowa Tibets that are basically identical to the Alaskan's and the sole literally exploded off the boot from hydrolysis within about 300 feet walking. No joke. The polyurethane midsole is designed to fail.
These Norwegian welted Tashi's don't have that problem because the midsole is stitched leather. Much better solution. Glad your Yukon's lasted but hydrolysis problems of polyurethane midsole plague Hanwag, Lowa, Scarpa, Zamberlan...ANYONE who uses polyurethane. It's a stupid design. EVA foam lasts much longer is actual use.
Go look online at all the Air Jordan's exploded soles. That's polyurethane midsole in action
Fantastic boots.. You should try altberg Tethera boots...
Seem like really good boots. I’d be interested in comparing them with something like the danner mountain lights.
They are amazing hiking boots. Jjust not suitable for these Temps 👍🍻
Thanks for the review. Can you share your foot length and width to help with sizing decisions?
I'm usually around a size 11. These boots are u.s. 11.5 and I have wide feet. These boots fit like a glove 😁
Where is this Paradise?
can they handle a bit of water?
and do they dry quickly when wet?
They dry out pretty quick. When hiking, I bring a pair of cheap as dirt and amazingly light, Crocks knock offs. Dollar store or Walmart for only a few dollars. I put then on when river crossing etc..
@@JimmyMeatwhistle men, what a stunning place to life!
great video, thank you for the help full information and greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you! 🍻👍
Can you please tell me what color are they? Is it chestnut, marone or black?
I believe they are a chestnut color.
Thanks!
Did you go 1 size up? They look like they will hold for more than a decade!!
Nope, didn't go one size up. Tthese fit perfect and I can get a fat pair of socks on too 👍🍻
@@JimmyMeatwhistle They say some other Hanwags like the TatraII,they have a narrow fit , I have to order online because of Covid so thanks for the help!
I picked handwag originally because it was supposed to be a great brand and also for a wide foot. I've got big wide flappers 😅
@@JimmyMeatwhistle Some Amazon reviews on TatraII, say that the TatraII have a narrow fit and people without wide feet, had to go for one size up and wide! It's only a couple of days until I learn the truth. I have also heard, that Hanwags are some of the best boots out there, so I'm impatient! Thank you!
@@greekveteran2715 Hi Greek, how did they fit? Thanks.

Anyways, the Tashis look amazing and I'm currently trying to buy a pair. Maybe another Norwegian welted hamwag as long as they are non goretex
5-6 years old and size-label is like new. Can't read my label after just one year. They are great just inner stiching is not the best!!!
why aren't they good for city? and what you recommend for the town EDC?
Hi and thanks for the comment. I don't wanna wear out these beautiful boots and soles waking around a crappy city 😁👍
@@JimmyMeatwhistle good answer, i hope your town isn't that crappy though
