Hellz yeah, I've been riding mine for about 3 month now. Got a white and black one. Confusing thing with the seat/.max weight thing, though I've taken passengers on it and it handles ok.
If SYM were to price this bike at about $1,800 to $2,000, I think they could sell more of them. I do realize they've dropped the price down to about $2,400 from $2,600, but that's still a bit of coin for this kind of machine.
What Scooter? Yes, She is very cute. Nice piece on that red thing. No, I did like the Scooter, but had to appreciate the finer things in life. Oh, yea, she is smart, too and very pretty.
I feel bad for you Californians who have to put up with those clunky fuel nozzles. We don't have them here on the east coast, at least not in Maryland. Regardless, a good review! I hope this bike can catch on. The only question is can the bike haul two people and not get 'bogged down?'
i hope one day it will come to europe! we have the vespa one of the most famous scooter on earth, now we want the cub !!! why honda didnt bother to continue the cub in production, piaggio did it with the vespa, thay make it more to today standards. honda isnt capable to do that?
@ajaswinski - This is a different machine, but what I think would be cool IMNSHO is for SYM to offer a standard transmission in addition to the semi-auto. I think you have better control at low speeds, but that may be just me. I wonder what the ignition system is like? Criticisms aside, I'd get either the red or black. The blue does nothing for me
Sue Carpenter is a punk who can SMELL MY BOOTS! Just imagine, with all it's shortcomings, they have sold more than 60 MILLION Honda Cubs in the world to date. If you add the fake ones, you are probably in the 65 million region. These Cubs have been known to run for 40 years, 50,000 miles and get 120 mpg. The fact is, if you want reliable, old fashioned small motorcycle characteristics, buy this bike. Oh, by the way, 99 out of 100 new bikes still run with carburetors, not fuel injection...
@daedalx i looked up the user manual and to my surprise it says no passengers. even though their is clearly an extra seat and footpegs?!

Thanks for giving us good details on the pros and cons of the symba, great review!
@daedalx - I think that the rating wasn't 199 lbs. but 199 kilograms, which comes out to about 438 pounds.
