Again, it's them not realizing they are rich and them not understanding that you are poor.

Met some rich people who can't understand how others may be poor.. is mostly the people who were born into a rich families.
Back in Uni, 1 rich kid to a middle class kids; "how come you ain't got any money, does your parents not like you or something?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have a rich friend. Lives in Beverly Hills, family owns several pieces of real estate including apartment buildings in the rich parts of LA. Like his family does rent extraction ON millionaires that are not quite rich enough to actually own a house in those areas. He will track how much you owe him for meals down to the cent.

Okay so actually like genuine question
Is it not weird to have that relationship? I'm not saying you have to be equal in all ways but isn't that making a slippery slope towards buying your friendship? How do you navigate that?

@@samstromberg5593I can't answer for them, but when I've just had more disposable income than my friends, it's really just if there's something that was entirely up to me then I'd pay, but if its planned as a group we all agree on whats fair for everyone to pay with their disposable. It does require no one to want to exploit the others though

Lol, I grew up in a pretty wealthy area so I knew people like this. The funny thing is there are different versions too. Had a friend who lived in a big gated mansion yet he would walk to school every single day. And he could bring any food he desired but he went with a sandwich, granola bar, and water. Every single day. The funniest part was that if you asked him to borrow a pencil or a piece of gum he would look at you like you just requested his mom's kidney. To this day, he still sends exact CENT amounts and wont take turns paying. One of my best friends, and still a frugal crack up.

I think it's most common when someone owns a lot of video games and never look back on what the total value actually is. I am probably guilty of it myself.

I had a friend when I was younger who would always be bought the newest gaming consoles then sell the outdated console to me for next to nothing. We'd go to the pawn shop and the prat behind the counter would offer a lowball offer (I think he offered £5 for an xbox with four controllers and over twenty games) and I'd offer quadruple what the chap in the pawn shop did.
Eventually we were barred, but we did this several times.
I've had a gamecube, xbox, ps2 and 360 with a good library of games and it can't have cost me much more than £150.

There's a way to check how much you've spent on Steam (can't remember how to access it but it's there). Needless to say I think that feature might give some people heart attacks.

@@false-zd5ujThe way I see it, my time is free when I'm not at work. I can do as I please, and get some exercise walking to get the food. It also leaves a few extra dollars in my bank account. All those delivery fees and tips add up over the course of a year. But if you're sitting at home trading stocks on TD Ameritrade, I can see how even your free time is money.
