- Just received the amp from the maintenance by AZG custom, it’s been fully serviced and retubed. So it’s got the second birth and now sounds like a beast.
No any boost pedals

I love how the pressure from the sound waves are shaking the camera.
Pressure from the sound waves 🤤
Sound really tight and mean. Like a classic Mark IV from the 90s. Awesome!
I miss that Amp Very much. Had one in 1988 when I was a sophomore in school. I had a crate before that. I never looked back!! Rectifiers and Soldanos Now !! Bravo
I had a .50cal for years. It dials in the sweetest blues tone ever heard.
This tone could melt satan’s face
Haha;)
Ive got a .50 cal + like yours, I was really blown away by how great these amps are!
Thank you for using the VOLUME knob!! So many of these vids where you can hear the strings just through the mic. Sounds great!!
Sounds just like my .50 caliber +. They have a great crunchy aggressive flavor, I wanted a mark 4 or 5. But this buster will keep me content.
The best sounding amplifier in the world..Bay area amps are the best
Sounds awesome
Sounds insane. Wow
Nice. That's pretty much a reliable Boogie. :)
Great amp and playing
Thank you
awesome. Marshall G12V is so underrated with mark series style amps.
By far my favorite speaker
Ah yes, my favourite cab, Mar.
Frightening 😱
Great tone mate, really great! Low frequencies are very tight and powerful. Which tubes did you use?
Thank you. 6L6s - Sovtek, 12ax7s - ehx. I don't remember which specific models.
Fuck! that amp sounds so brutal.
Really underrated Mesa. Nothing to envy of the more renowned Mark
🔥
That small part where you played the fast riff was almost like Morbid Angel.. dawn of the angry
Brb... gotta go listen to NOLA front to back again..
The riffs and the production on that album are top notch. One of those all-killer, no-filler gems.
@@13guitard00d yeah, buddy!! It's on my "desert island 5" list.
Forgot to say that this amp is a big factor in why the riffs and the production shine. No other Down guitar tone that I've heard sounds as good as the NOLA tone.
👹👍🏻
Push that air !

Kinda sounds like Killswitch Engage to me, nice job
Best amp I owned, (probably modded) combo with EV12. Better than triaxis/strategy, mini recto and mark 3 combo. Sold it because I moved and the previous owner begged me to sell it back to him, I was so stupid to sell it. Sounded much better than this.
I sold two calibers, then regretted and bought this one. It’s hard to judge which is worse or better until you put them side by side and compare them head-to-head with the same settings and the same cab.
That must be fucking loud, you can even _see_ it
Did they replace all the underrated capacitors too?
One dead blue cap was replaced
Hi. Whats the year of your Mesa boogie 50 Caliber ? Thanks
I don’t know unfortunately
caliber is literally shares alot with mark III. Just a simplier version of it. SO it will definetily rip with its own tone)
Agree with you!;)
y ese cab mars mi bro?
my choice amplifier is mesaboogie duel rectifiers or marshal halfstacks
Marshall half stack can be totally different!;) from an old jmp to a modern jvm
Расхуяривает на гранулы
can i come and hangout? ill bring the beers lol
😋🍻
Перед ампом грелочка была?
Нет. Чисто в морду
How does it compare to a dc5?
I’ve never used dc5, but my amp tech told me that they differ circuit wise.
@@RomanRotten great video ! Great tone!
@@ivorycybernetics thank you! Cheers!
I’ve had a DC5 for years and now have the Cal .50+ (6L6-Version). I like the gain texture much more on the Caliber and can achieve more transparent, harmonic and fluent gain sounds. The DC5's high always felt stiffer and grittier to me. But on the other hand the DC5 has a significantly more powerful poweramp section. though rated the same, the Caliber does not get as loud as the DC5, starts breaking up earlier, has less low end and overall feels less substantial. It does not matter as much at home, but really starts showing in a band context. Apparently the output transformer is a weak spot in the Caliber. I have had and still have several Mesa amps. They generally have a reputation of being loud for their respective power rating, but the Caliber .50 seems to be an exception from the rule.
Зёрнышко к зёрнышку
Я не знаю что это, оно как марк или это другое?
Прародственник ректифаера с генами Марка
an in room mic is pretty useless for evaluating tone
How so? That's how your ears hear it unless you like to listen with your ear 1 inch off the grill cloth
