Will be able to watch this properly tomorrow. I'll have a go at these too when I've next got time. I'll definitely have to check out that fundamentals playlist as well.
Cool let me know which videos you find helpful (comments are one of the main ways I judge if a video is successful since I know views is more about the algorithm then the quality) 👍
So, I monkey grip everything when it comes to power chords...and use triads with inversions all over the neck. There are a lot of songs where I have too keep bar chords tight! For instance arppegiating chords for Alice Cooper's song Poison. So last night someone wanted me to follow this chord progression: Dminor Fmajor Gminor Amajor. I want too solo over it. I wanna play Key of F but that Amajor throws me for a loop because it should be ACE (Aminor). It sounds good when it resolves to Amajor. Maybe you know what is goin on here. I think it's like some Cuban sauce, I don't know. 🙂
Okay you're almost there, you're on the right track if you think of it as in Dm with the Gm, & A being the 4 & 5 from Dm (F is still the major key) you're right the A would be Am so what does that change? A has a C# in it how would that relate to the Dm it would be a Maj7 and if you add a Maj7 to Natural minor it becomes Harmonic minor (so anytime you make the chord a 5th up from your minor into a major this gives a stronger resolution back to the minor & it makes it at least temporarily in harmonic minor) the F has the C not C# so be careful there.
