    The NSX pricing just isnt worth it especially factoring in the mods you need to do. Ive driven both a NA1 and NA2 and was really unimpressed with them but they were largely stock. I never drove a lotus but drove many caymans and felt they were all far better driving than the NSX. Although the NSX looks way cooler.

    I had a 1996 NSX-T for 25 years. It had a Comptech supercharger, headers and exhaust. I decided to get the new Emira. I did a test drive in Jacksonville and was not impressed. Immediately after I got home to Gainesville, I drove my NSX. I then cancelled my Emira order. The NSX was better in every way. I ended up getting an Evora GT which I modified and tuned on a dyno to 504BHP and 403RWT. The Lotus blows away both the NSX and the Emira.

    Bottom line: he's going to pick apart any car that doesn't feel like his NSX. A car that doesn't weigh the same as his NSX. A car that doesn't drive like his NSX. That doesn't steer like his NSX. It's that simple.

      He's shown himself to be really biased in several areas, yeah, this is one of them

      My NSX isn't even ranked in the top 45 cars I've reviewed

    The NSX is still a better car, 30+ years on. While the value is close today, they are going in opposite directions and in 10 years the NSX will almost certainly be worth more.

    I’m glad Lotus is offering a manual transmission.

    I'm in my 20's and always hated loud exhaust, but this NSX is an exception

    Here we have Lotus retaining hydraulic steering. Meanwhile Toyota for the Supra touched nothing on the lousy BMW EPS, nothing, and they bragged they benchmarked it against Cayman S. I'm not a rich person, I don't like being made a fool of, it takes a lot of sacrifice to buy a car like this.

    Honda really does have the best shifters of all time imo

    I think it comes down to if you want to customize your car or just have off the shelf good/great car. The Boxster is another option too. Although It’s hard to get excited about a motor you cannot see [at least from the top] and that four cylinder sound.

    I would pick the NSX but then again I am biased because I have one as well 😂

    I still think the single turbo spoon NSX with the roof scoop is the way to go if power is on the list.

    The Emira engine can be tuned safely for a 7.2k redline

      That's what I heard. Wonder how the powerband feels near 7200

    The six speed in the Emira feels excellent? C/D said it's so bad it's almost a dealbreaker.

      This one did. I hear the shifter feel varies by car.

    I've driven both the Emira and Evora GT. To me the Evora GT felt more planted with better steering feel. The Emira felt too light and compromised, a car for the general public.

    • @Rex_Racer
      @Rex_Racer 3 години тому

      The Evora is harder to get in and out of, harder to see out of, poor and cramped interior, too stiffly damped to drive daily on American roads. The Emira resolves those things.

      @@dkb1555 Pretty sure the Evora is a better track car out of the box. While if you're interested in modding, the Emira is ultimately going to be the better car.

    Lotus really needs to make its own engine or at least work with Yamaha more.

    did he really downgraded from DS2500 to freakin crap EBC red stuff? :facepalm:

    • @strmshadow8411

      Probably because the stock pads put out a lot of dust.

    • @danvuquoc
      @danvuquoc Годину тому

      Owner of the Emira here. I don't particularly like the high initial bite of the DS2500, they dust a lot, and fade at the same number of aggressive stops as the EBC Red stuff. The DS2500 has always been a strange in between pad for me, they're bad street pads and horrible track pads. I'll stick to a nice streetable pad on the street and a reliable track pads with track rotors for the track.

    • @FreestylerAlbert
      @FreestylerAlbert Годину тому

      @@danvuquoc the EBC red stuff is one of the worst pads you can go for. For me the red stuff pads simply disintegrate from the metal holder. So the ferodo splited from the metal bracket. And I'm not speaking about track usage. Just a regular mountain road with an S2000. (btw google/youtube is also full of these experiences when you google on it)
      When you don't want that much dust just put ceramic coat on the wheels and done. Simply with water it will come off.

    • @danvuquoc
      @danvuquoc Годину тому

      @@FreestylerAlbert I’m an ex S2000 owner of 13 years and have had all sorts of pads including the ones mentioned above, don’t really need to google the issues they’ve worked fine for me for a long time. Then again I don’t drive like I do at the track on the street. All my street wheels are ceramic coated and it really doesn’t just wash off there’s always a nasty layer that remains.

      @FreestylerAlbert Годину тому

      @@danvuquoc hope it will work well for you! good luck with it. But keep in mind these are one of the worst brakepads you can go for. In Euorpe people call them the groceries pads for a reason.
