Some small words of comfort to all who are sad for the kitty. Seeing as the cat was hidden in a cosy, dry space, it was most likely looking for a peaceful place to pass. And it seems like it found a perfect place, away from the noise and hassle, to rest for one last time.

You should never show a new parent (mothers in particular) a real life example of a vulnerable creature, potentially having suffered & then having passed away alone. Every new parent is obsessed with protecting their offspring & the thought of that vulnerable life being snuffed out is simply unbearable so its no wonder that Hannah became upset. I'd like to think that Mr Whiskers, found peace & solace in the old shed during his last hours & you have honoured his life by burying him so respectfully. Looking forward to watching your restoration of the old shed & noting all of your solutions for preserving as much of the original fabric of the building as possible.

The closing shot of your absolutely gorgeous infant. I love that her perfect little face is a fantastic combination of both of your faces. She does not seem to favor one parent's features over the other. I know every parent thinks that their baby is beautiful and in this particular case you are 100% correct. She also looks like a genius. Thanks for the beauty shot. Back to topic, i am glad you are repairing, preserving and re-purposing this beautiful vintage shed. And, RIP Mr. Whiskers. Funny enough I have a friend who found the exact same thing in his old shed. Under the floor there was a dead cat but PERFECTLY MOMMIFIED!. Probably because it was so dry in there he dried with skin on. His father took it and put it in a display that now sits on the patio's wall. It gets 2 types of reaction from people, people are either fascinated or terrified by it. I love it.

    Grandpa was adorable.
The kitty skeleton was a sad find and reading the comments I can see I’m not the only one that felt that way. I hope everyone that doesn’t already have all the pets they can handle goes out and adopts their own Mr Whiskers and gives him a loving forever home.
