The call you made in the video is very similar to their “food” calls, which is call they make when they spot food. And that’s probably the reason they are interested.
They probably flocked to you thinking that you were a raven that found a meal. That's part of their behavior, adult ravens will locate a kill large enough to share and call for the younger ones to come and eat. Kinda like calling your friends and family over for a picnic at the park.
They definitely will come if you call them. I have a pair of raven friends who come see me every day almost. For like 4 years their child is now a teenager and it brings its friends. They've taught me to speak raven
@@ryanwalsh5019 once I heard one say 'I love you' back to me, in the 8 Years I lived in said raven couple's territory. I have since moved, I miss them, but I'm making a new raven friend here because I can still speak raven lol
Whenever I see one flying by I make that little clicking sound with my tongue that they commonly make, about five or six times, and it never fails to get them to circle back for a 2nd look and most of the time repeat the clicking call. Not sure what that series of clicks means but I did it with the pair by my house for years and kind of mastered it lol…I relate to this video hardcore.
I have 50 ravens in my yard every day. I love them so much. I want to befriend them. I can only make the clacking noise, but not the call you made, which was excellent btw!
Actually I'm not sure about the purpose of vocalisations in ravens but I know that in owls for example they do vocalize to defend their territory so basically if you imitate an owl or play a record of an owl and somehow an owl responds, it'd mean that she is stressed and she uses energy for nothing, so better to avoid. But I should check and see for ravens, it must be different.
There's a UA-cam video of a raven that comes to an osprey nest and irritates the mother to chase then dispatches the mother and returns to kill and eat the chics. They said ravens and osprey are each others nemesis. Circle of life i guess
Him: Food over here y’all Ravens: We don’t see it, we keep circling but don’t see it Him: No right here Ravens: You sit on a throne of lies…HOOMIN!!!! And I’m pretty sure at the end of the video was a strong “FUCK….YOU!!!!”
MY daughter and I are hatching plans to bribe a flock of ravens into coming to our house. Today's mission: find the flock we know of and coorelate our car with food.
I NEED TO KNOW HOW YOU MADE SUCH A CONVINCING RAVEN CALL. I only know how to make a crow call which although similar I find it hard to morph it into a raven call
I've had a raven hanging in our yard for over 3 weeks with a bum wing. I started leaving her clean water and a couple cans of sardines and sliced up apples. She sits on my garbage cans and looks into our kitchen window.

Check this out I am being stalked by my neighbour's and I always call to them I know so many calls a clicks I have now become a member of the flock . So when theses jerks snoop around they get in a tree where the neighbour is an calls to me. And sure as chit there was a wondering neighbour on the other side of the fence. Many times they fly over them with warning calls They are awesome birds . Raised one as a 10 year old girl and I had him for a year . My dad would not let him go. So I came home from school dad was not home and I let him free. Hey came back over a period of a year and one day had a mate . Talk to me in his usually way then looked at his mate. His mate looked at me crowed and both left. Love those birds. Best birds in the world.

Have you taught them to speak human?
@@ryanwalsh5019 omg, is it real.
Incidentally, ravens, much like parrots, can also be taught to speak human.

Playing this, a raven flew overhead in less than a minute
How do they hear it without the whole neighborhood hearing
Used to feed crows in my front yard. They would call until I fed them. Thanks for the vid.

I saw a lonesome raven today and had to hear the call one more time. Thanks for this video.
I’ve done this to some ravens near me, always fun to have conversations with them
Cool that you can communicate with them
I've had these guys in my yard sometimes, but today I saw one going after an Osprey.

Kurgle Kreutzer Thanks 😄 They are so nice birds
Indeed they are! Cheers!
I make that sound and they immediately just fly away.
Maybe it's my accent.

Damn that’s legit lol you’re really good at that
