This comment is so legit. Roman, you and your channel are so very generous in lifting the lid on the process of making 3D models in Blender. Thank you always.
This looks so fun, can't wait to try it. Edit: Just finished it and it looks so good, thank you! My hope is to be able to do scenes like this on my own. Much luck and hope u have a great day :)
I recently finished my first donut and seeing you make these little objects so quickly got me excited and like "ahhhh I have so much to learn" at the same time. lol. Cheers.
Wonderful tutorial! I had trouble with objects not snapping to face, even after fixing normals. I had to set the "snap with" option to "active" not "closest"
9:50 thank you so much for telling us this!! It was awesome that you used snapping instead of geo nodes! Because, Snapping is super satisfying anyways, ALSO, very important fact is that some people cannot download latest blender version which means they can't use geo nodes, so thank you SO MUCH!! This was super useful and amazing! 😊😊😊😊
I love doing these walkthroughs in conjunction with your paid course lessons; I get most of my value from your workflow as a whole, learning how you approach problems. Great work, glad you are willing to teach.
Hello, I just recently trying to do 3D designing and I am a big fan of your work! I subscribed to your website too. I want to ask you something. I tried to do the exact orders, but I found a problem which is quite confusing. I made the tree attached to the planet on the outer side, but why were my house, boat and plane are attaching themselves INSIDE the planet? It's weird, and I don't know what to do, kindly help :)
This is 99% a normals problem, you need to recalculate them (SHIFT + N on all selected vertices inside the object), try it on every object and then try snapping again
HI. I really like your videos, i have one problem with exporting FBX file from blender. Afrer exporting fbx file it changes color darker(color codes) than in blender, but i dont know why. Can you help me? Thanks a lot.
At minute 8'10'' when you select "face",backface culling" in "Project Individuals Elements" I tried to do the same in blender 3.5 and I was NOT able to put the face of the tree with the face of the planet... :/ I tried to use your tip and the face of the tree was not even attracted by the face of the planet :/
What an excellent tutorial I really enjoyed it, thanks for your excellent tutorials I will tag you on instagram my illustration greetings from Honduras.
I wish you had zoomed in on the small objects, especially the boat. Even wearing glasses I can't see anything, since the interface is also very small hahaha but thanks for sharing
Hii.. This is awesome video! But I can't bevel the edges like you did, As ctrl + b doesn't work on my pc keyboard.. I tried the another option for it but still can't do it.. Please kindly help :)
I'm making this scene with your tutorial, but when I try to place my objects on the planet (I check the "align rotation to target" and "project individual elements" options), the objects (like the tree for example) are putting themselves upside down... like the tree is entering inside the planet instead of landing on the it..... Do you have any idea why this is happening???
I have a question, qhen making the boat, the part I have to press I to inset the top faces, it doesn't work as in the video. In my case, it insets each face apart, creating more faces then it should. So, when I extrude, it gets all weird. This happened in other moments as well, is there something I have to change to fix it?
I need some help, when I go to snap the trees to the planet they keep snapping to the inside faces, not the outside like his, anyone know why mine is doing this? and how to fix it?
You need to fix normals on trees or planet. Since planet should be default icosphere, I suspect the tree. Select one of them, edit mode and select all. Then press shift N to recalculate
I have also been stuck here. In my case, tree and house worked fine, but somehow boat and airplane snapped inside. For whatever reason, changing the normals on the boat did not help. Eventually, selecting all the "water" object of the planet in edit mode, and then doing CTRL+SHIFT+N -> recalculate normals (ticking the box for "inside") fixed it for me.
This could be easily just exported as fbx and directly imported into engine I think (though you might need to recreate materials if the engine importer doesnt create them for you)
9:29 i like your sane approach about geometry nodes.
this channel has not only help me grow skills but also become a lil more creative in many aspect , thanks a lot man !!!!
That's really great to hear!

That's great to hear! Keep it up :)
TIP: When you are customizing the size of the trees you can turn on proportional editing and switch it to random. Saves a lot of time
The simplicity is so beautiful
Thanks!
This is a fantastic tutorial! I even picked up on some shortcuts I didn't know after 10+ years!!
Glad you like it! :)
your voice is so calming
Such a happy little planet. Fun tutorial. Thanks Polygon Runway.
Glad to help :)
A huge thanks to this channel that i can say i am good in 3d arts in just 20 days
That's great to hear! :)
@@polygonrunway please make explain video on geometry nodes if you have time it would be so helpful 😃

Step by step right? :) Thanks!

Thanks to this video I got the cartoonish pastel look I was looking for, amazing tricks and settings to achieve it, very well explained
This is way beyond exactly what I needed. Your channel is so extremely underrated! Thanks a million man!
Glad to help! :)
Amazing. I really was this low poly style while I am learning from you. Thank you
Awesome! :)
Great stuff! Please zoom in to the models when you’re building. The boat was difficult to see because you were zoomed way out.

I’m new to this
hi! how can i paint over a texture on the low poly planet? im still very new and every time i try to do a UV unwrap it comes off very wonky

thanks bro
Pls give us a collection video about your blender works up to now
That would be a looong video :)
@@polygonrunway I think it's fine. Anyway can't you get a video like that ?
But if you can't no problem.
15:00 How do you make that rotation option appear? Thanks
Awesome

is this the current WR in this speedrunning category?
can anyone tell me at 16:35 how he was able to apply a color to all the trees at once?
The Pivot Point simply doesn't change when I have the clouds selected in Object Mode and change it to 3D Cursor :(
blender3D the best 👌🏼🐒
I followed your instructions of snapping the trees, it worked but the trees we'rent rotating :( can anyone help me please
nice 😀😀

Probably the planet has normals flipped. Go to edit mode, select all and SHIFT N
@@polygonrunway Yeah it works! Thanks a lot, brother :)

@@polygonrunway it worked, thanks!!
De Planeta on theCGbros channel
Is this inspired from that??
Never heard of it. I was creating this kind of planets since around 2017 for a projects like this www.martinus.sk/kniznaodysea
For me, when I snapped the trees to the planet, they were rotated in-ways wich was kinda annoying so I rotated them one by one
guys ı can't do this , ı need help 14.22
ctrl+b doesnt work
I managed to animate it
I need some help, when I go to snap the trees to the planet they keep snapping to the inside faces, not the outside like his, anyone know why mine is doing this? and how to fix it?
i have same problem
You need to fix normals on trees or planet. Since planet should be default icosphere, I suspect the tree. Select one of them, edit mode and select all. Then press shift N to recalculate
me too, what should we do after the SHIFT + N? I can only see one option to "tick" the INSIDE option
@@GiorgioComai this one worked for me! Thanks man ❤

Please make a character tutorial
Make more tuts on low poly modeling techniques using in game industry
how to make it moving?
how could he color just the sphere but not the extruded parts from the sphere
AT 1:15 you opended additional menu but in my blender it's not showing
that is because you clicked off the shape. you can only access that menu the moment you create the shape
mine doesn't shade smooth at the end
why i cant select all the trees for the color ?
Did you duplicate them using ALT+D?
in my case, I had to add colors to every single trees by hand. It didn't go all in like yours did :(
You need to use alt+D to duplicate if you want them linked
@@polygonrunway Thank you very much. I was using Shift+D
🤩
How to import this into game engine like unreal or Godot engine
This could be easily just exported as fbx and directly imported into engine I think (though you might need to recreate materials if the engine importer doesnt create them for you)
Noice
my plane and my boat are upside down, i dont know why
Third
WHY MY THINGS GO'S INSIDE THE EARTH !HELPPPP PLS
ok i fixed it myself :) i was rotate it upside down lol
Second :D
next time when you record a tut make sure you are more far far away from the model so we can't see what are you modelling okay?
when I snap it snaps, but the tree and boat snap inverted idk how to change that
