Ordered a shale 33 with bottomland limbs 3 days ago. Hearing mid March and I cannot wait. Gonna hit up a few TACs with it. Awesome overview and review as always.
Interesting speeds, I shot my hunting arrow , 435 grain at a 28” DL, 70 lbs and got 276 fps over a Garmin so what you got seems quite a bit high?? It is a smooth draw, back wall is great, factory grip is trash. Speed not even close to published.
@ 3 fps for 10 grain difference, generally 10 fps for a full inch. I guess it’s close. I shot this bow with the PSE DS 33 carbon and the RX-9 ultra as I want a longer ata, I’ve been in a 30 ata for 3 years and all my previous were 32-33 ata. The PSE shot my arrow (435) 277fps and the Hoyt shot 287, with the Lift at 276fps, same arrow same Garmin. Not that speed means everything but I was surprised based on the published speeds by all companies how much closer Hoyt was and how much faster it was than the Lift. Every DL will vary….All 3 of the bows have very smooth draw cycles and great back walls. The techs at my local bow shop also mentioned that with last years Lift, multiple guys had to re-tune their bows multiple times IE they won’t hold a tune?!🤷🏼♂️ added to which they had limb failures, not many but they still did.

That color combo is 🔥
Nice review mate got my lift x in shale coming next week in Australia 👌🏼
Thanks for watching. Goodluck with the new bow.
27 inch draw. Which one are you shooting? The 29.5 or the 33?
Me personally for a hunting bow, the 29.5

425gr arrow at 27” draw 274.9 is very close to 435gr arrow at 28” draw at 276? Why do my speeds seem high?

@@crabwalk1891 @ reasons for NOT holding TUNE.. Bad stringers or failing limbs...
Actually goes to 31.5” draw
I misspoke, I jotted down some notes and still said 31”
Not that big a deal but being a solid 31.5-31.75 it’s the only bow I can comfortably shoot. I wish Hoyt made a 31.5” draw that’s not carbon
