Workers speak out over group of young people terrorizing Northside businesses

- Employees attacked, windows smashed, and stealing are some of the issues three different businesses along Capitol Dr., east of I-43, have been experiencing over the past two months.
Employees at all three tell TMJ4 News that a group of young people have been terrorizing their businesses almost daily.
The manager of the Citgo, just down the street from TMJ4 News, said it all started back in mid-May.
He did not want to be identified out of fear of retaliation.
Security camera footage showed the group being asked to leave the store. Employees had witnessed the young people stealing earlier in the month.

This news video is not helpful at all because all the faces of the young people are blurred. I know that the answer will be that it's because they are kids and something to that affect, but again, this is useless. I'm sorry to say that, but no one can identify these kids and the parents definitely don't care even if they recognize the clothing.
It's a legal loop hole you cannot show kid's identity unless they are charged as adults. If one does it sets them up for a huge winnable lawsuit.
You don’t know what the parents are like. For all you know it’s a single mom doing her best, working multiple jobs. I don’t disagree that the problem stems from the home front, but in many of these cases the only thing the parents have against them is the fact they live in the hood. These kids hook up with each other and it’s very hard to get control of them afterwards. They runaway and the police can’t help get them back. Look at the missing kids posters in police stations. It’s insane. All it takes is one bad parent willing to let other ppls kids in their home. Those kids won’t go home, they’ll hook up there with their friends. Try getting your teenager back after that happens. Cops won’t do a no/knock warrant, or any warrant for that matter due to BLM and riots that kick off from police getting involved. It’s much worse than ppl realize.

Yep, literally in one instance in Chicago iirc. Whole Foods got robbed out of town and they managed to get a discount store to set up shop there after no one immediately was interested. They protested the new store because they wanted Whole Foods. They had to delay the opening and ended up having to donate the meat and such to a local food bank since they had no time table to actually have the planned grand opening.
Idk if they ever finally opened or not, but if they did I give them 2 years.

Those parents have about as much control of the kids as that gas station manager. Those kids need to be sent to an all day corrections facility (which don’t exist, the ones that do are a fortune and wouldn’t take in these kids anyways due to $$). I had severe problems with two of my four kids. There was a point I simply couldn’t control them, they were plugged into the hood. I took their phones, grounded them, etc. They would just runaway and not come home. Cops wouldn’t get them back as there’s no laws against harboring a minor when the minor consents. It’s tragic. Thankfully my kids grew out of it. I’m from a good family with supportive family throughout. Good neighborhood (mid to upper class). If it can happen to me, imagine what the hood is like. We need men to step up is what we need. Single moms can’t do it alone. They need male role models

Hooked back up with his high school sweetheart and got her pregnant. My life immediately shredded in one weekend, with 4 small kids. I was the first person in my families history to ever be divorced. I had a huge wedding in the Caribbean. No one ever thought that would happen to me. Guess what, it did. It also happened to a best friend of mine. The people running these gas stations and corner stores on the north side always look so miserable and even just stopping in you see them dealing with so much crap or hear about/see the aftermath of shootings and stuff that it makes me wonder how it's even worth it.
