That "old Macy's store" was Sanger-Harris when I loved shopping at Valley View back in the eighties. The new development looks like yet another happy place for the rich, which we can never have too much of now.
Simon5005 your acting like you still can’t go there and shop....there are plenty of places for rich people and not a lot of them....that money will be made of of the middle class
..and over two years after this story was filed, the demolition and all these wondrous plans for this area are at a standstill, with that developer and the mall property buried under various lawsuits. At the time this project was announced with so much fanfare, I said that since it was Dallas, believe it when you actually see construction happening. Oh how right I was to say that!
Valley View, then Collin Creek, heard there were a couple other malls that have succumbed to the wrecking ball in the Dallas area. One thing's for certain - building and construction NEVER stops in Dallas.

Good can’t wait.
Then delayed again for funds and tax increase reasons. We might not see the project until 2023 minimum

Looks like it's gonna be a huge eyesore.
Keep it, upgrade it, it's beautiful. New project is not good, Valley View Mall makes Dallas sweet and charming.
