I just looked it up and it looks like Tenderflake is pure lard. You are right that we don’t have Tenderflake brand in the US, but I think most all grocery stores here sell some brand of lard. I don’t know anyone who uses lard, though. I just use butter for my pie crust.
Tenderflakes is 100% pure lard pig fat...Crisco is vegetable fat..Big difference..Lard is the best for pie crust which we CAN get here in the USA in other brands.
Microwave your ice cream for about 15-20 seconds and you’ll get it out much easier. It won’t melt the ice cream, just soften enough to scoop it out easier.

Nothing like using the actual trubidity from the meat for flavor. LOL you have me laughing " there goes Paw Patrol ! ". 😅. I'm relaxing today; I hung all my laundry 🧺 on clotheslines yesterday and it is still hot in SC. I made a London Broil on Sunday and brownies for dessert. Your plates look amazing and so appetizing . That is the secret to a beautiful, moist roast. I do the same. Searing is a very important step to the perfect roast. Same for stew meat. Sprinkle meat with flour and salt and pepper and then sear in small batches. Your beef stew will have the best flavour.
