Who are these *"rightwing" pioneers* of "environmental activism" that *Benji Backer* is referring to? Benji Backer fancies himself as an "expert" on liberals. He assumes that every "liberal" goes around "throwing paint" to make a point, which he cries about, but goes on to praise the supposedly "rigid" liberals for "wanting to converse" and share ideas with him. Rather than tackling the values and aspirations on *specifics* and content, establishment mouthpieces like Benji take the copout route of painting "progressives" and the "extreme right" as "equal" and opposite forces, or two sides of the same coin, with the "sensible moderate" sandwiched in between. 🤨
By the way, "progressives" don't treat the climate crisis as the "world coming to an end tomorrow." They are not the cult "doomsayers." The rationale of progressives is that we should start being conscious of how our activities impact the environment now rather than _after,_ or when it looks like tragedy is right around the corner.🙂
