I think Dolton is East of Blue Island. ;-) That bottle train is really cool... Looking forward to seeing and feeling the heat off of one this summer. Dolton is definitely on me list of places to visit. Five stars, Frank. ;-)
Another excellent 9th Street production. You're right, that junction does allow for some really neat shooting angles. And the variety it provides is impressive as well. Great catches on Q368 and that J.B. Hunt stack train. When I make it up to Chicago again, I want you to help me find this place. five stars, Fav'd and shared with everyone I know. ;-)
@Metracab123 in Riverdale we called that the IC (Illinois Central) but now it is part of Metra (Chicago and suburbs commuter rail system.) They now call it Metra Electric. I still call it The IC.
Nice video frank, but i dont know where you get the thing about the Bottle cars having no brakes? first if they have hand brakes which they do they have brakes and second cars have to have brakes to be interhchange/operate on other railroads. also the Gons are put on there as Idler cars.
Look's like a real cool rail fan spot, thanks for the video.
Wau, The Bottle Train is wonderfull!!!!
Nice video, Frank, five stars!!!!

Another great video. You have access to some fantastic locations.
Great video, Frank! It's a shame what NS did to the horn on 5333. Excellent catch with the ex-LMS unit too!
Awesome video 5***** Cool train number 2 with special railroad cars for carried hot molten steel.
I didn't notice the train at 1:12 either. Great catcches and descriptions though and that bottle train is neat. 5*
Nice job with new camera, Frank.
