    Love your videos, I’m currently local working for a food delivery company, and I’m miserable here, everything is unorganized and equipment barely works,wanna get my tanker endorsement and go regional or OTR.     That car parked at that Mickey Ds Truck Parking spot is 9/10 a local driver(maybe OTR and lives in town) and parks personal vehicle there and whenever they come back, moves the car and puts the truck in the spot.

      Local owner/op only I assume? Local companies I've seen just have you drop the truck at the terminal. Is it common for local companies to let you take a truck closer to home to park?

    Blindside backing is always tough with a sleeper. No getting around that. At least you got out the truck to assess the situation. I'v seen them back up until they HIT something

    You should plan to park in rest areas or weigh stations if you can always easy parking especially in the weigh stations.

      It’s pretty tough trying to find a spot at a rest area at night. They fill up really quick

    Always wear footwear in truck stop showers. Don't forget your wash out ticket. 🤣 very good with the blind side. Always get out and look you did it perfect.

    Nine times out of ten you see a car parked there because they are a local driver and park their truck there when home then when they go to work they pull their truck out and park their car their to hold their spot when they get done for the day.

    Absolutelycheck your 5th wheel lock. Too many people are pulling peoples pins nowa days just to mess with a company. I always give a tug test each day as well.

    What's up bro I'm really been thinking on getting into the food grade division just trying to find out if it's hard and if prime a good company to start with? I mean I haven't got CDL'S yet but know a little about trucking already because I come from family of drivers

    How long they give you to shower ? And Do I need my hazmat and tanker endorsements b4 I apply to prime or will they train me to get it ?

      The showers aren’t timed. You will need your permit and tanker endorsement. Prime doesn’t haul hazard materials, so you want need your hazmat.

    Silly question: if somebody pulls your release handle how do you fix that? Can you just push it back in or do u have to back under it again?

      Good question: I would assume you would have to back up on it so the locking jaws would go around the kingpin.

    How about bathroom breaks how does that work ?
    How much stuff do you bring with you such as suits of clothes and such ?

      Thank you. When I stop to us the bathroom I’ll stretch then. Also on my 30 minute break. You can just find a bathroom to us whenever need be. I’ll bring enough clothes for about a week or 2 and just wash them

      I would think you would take a break every 3 or 4 hours to stretch to try stay fresh

    Any advice on how to get into tankers with no experience i called prime and they rejected me because i have no tanker experience and every hazmat/tanker company seems to ask for experience in the tankers field kind of hard to get a chance to learn the tankers job with nobody is able to give you a shot at it

      I’m not sure bro. I got my experience through prime. Try another major company. See if they will train you and get your foot in the door that way. Keep doing your research and calling around I’m sure someone will give you a chance.

    Any one who is messing with king pin relise handle deserves good beating. When you park, apply your trailer brakes, push forward like you do tug test and apply truck tuck parking break this should keep your Kung pin tight and it's a lot harder to pull on that handle.

      It’s not toxic it’s palm oil but I do agree they need something else other than a small plastic bottle.

      @@VezOnTheRoad if they ever have you haul toxic stuff make sure to have proper equipment and know what to do when you get exposed to a product. I have seen videos when people are pulling some corrosive chemicals handling theme without respirators and talking how bad the feel while being next to. They forget that with in few years it will affect their health if they don't take care of themselves today.
