    To model straight shear wall with no opening in Etabs, the "Auto meshing" option needs to be selected or the "Default- No meshing" option?
    I have checked that beam reinforcement coming is completely different for these two cases.

    I have been in site construction 3 months, I saw sheet pile placed around parameter of building, when finished constucting basement wall, sheet pile driver went through the ground slab to remove sheet pile out of ground so load of the machine exert force over the slab so during construction process what should you consider construction load or uniform load per square to maintain Heavy vihicle and storing materials ?

    I have one doubt can u tell me what is the limit of shear stress etab uses to check failure of spandrels. As per is code tcmax has to be 4n/mm2 but my spandrel is failing even for value less than this why so??

      Target displacement is nothing but allowable displacement for shear wall as per design codes, by using this we can design required shear wall thickness 1st then we can go for rebar design.

    Sir my landing beam section is becoming very large to the tune of 40cmx 70cm in seismic zone -V. So I want to transfer only the vertical loads of the waist slab as is done when waist slab is not modelled. How can we release the axial force of the shell element of the stair.? Also can we release the torsional stiffness of landing beam?

      In that case you can avoid modeling landing beam. Just model landing slab.

    Hello Sir
    I have modeled all things as per ur video and when i checked the model i found no warnings. But after run analysis command i found one error that "Negative Jacobian Encountered. Check element connectivity and joint coordinates for element 96-49".
    Please help me for this error. Cz i cannot resolve this and due to same i cannot proceed further in my practice.

    Sir can we request building design using ASCE 7 on Etabs 18? UBC97 was stripped on the latest version and the seismic design used on previous tutorial cannot be applied on ETABS 18. Thank you sir.

D1 and D2 all flexible. for basement and typical floor u've considered D1 and on roof D1 and D2 for two separate area. my question is can we define unique diaphgrams D1,D2,D3,D4 for each floor and two diaphrgram for 2 area in same floor. is there any difference between the two method? or is it same ???. plz share the wind load calculation excel sheet as well

      I have explained in the video also. You people are not watching video with patience. I told there is no need to define different diaphragm for each levels. Different diaphragm needed if in any level there is separated areas.

    Not seen two things:
    1. For natural period you have considered as program defined, for brick infill even after 2016 revision of IS1893, we use T= 0.09h / (d)^0.5
    2. As seen on last video (part 1) you have changrd soil load case scale factor to -1. But not seen to provide +1 and -1 for lateral loads. Is it mot necessary? Guide plz

      1. You can provide calculated value or you may leave it to the program for calculate.
      2.Soil Pressure load acting against the local 3 axis of basement wall. To fix the direction I changed the scale factor as load applied along local 3 axis. No need to define another load case with positive scale factor, if you do so that will be wrong.

      @@Decodebd thank for reply. But still have a dobut, during some practice, while providing, seismic load (EQX), load case defined with two EQX with one SF +1 and another with SF -1. Should we wont use that? I think when we apply load pattern we rovide for +ve dirction, so specially for irregular structure, -ve dir can be introduced by adding a -1 SF

    I think you have skipped the auto pier option for basement here. Can you advise, how can I apply the auto pier?

      While modeling wall in the wall property section there you will find Auto pier-No, just change that "No" to "yes".

    Sir i am confuse that whats is the difference Between IMRF and SMRF ?
    And how we decide that now will use SMRF or IMRF.
    Please help me

      I think you mean OMRF instead of IMRF. Well, OMRF stands for Ordinary Moment Resisting Frame where frame structure is designed for no ductility or you can say ductility of member is not considered here. On the other hand, SMRF stands for Special moment Resisting Frame where ductility of members is taken into consideration.

    Sir why are you skip wind load parameter in X and Y direction .
    Where to use those values 0.8,025 etc.... Cp values after calculation where to use
