I didn't know that cilantro DOESN'T taste like soap for some people. That explains its popularity, now. I never understood why people loved the taste of soap so much.

This was a lot of fun to watch. I watched it on a delay because of real life stuff, but even without participating it was still great fun. Nice little In The Loop reference, if that was a reference to it. I think it's from that one; that or the related The Thick of It show.
Who voted for Jane as their number one pick in a zombie apocalypse? I recall many a Hitman video where she just traced outlines of intended targets with bullets!

This was super fun to watch, and would love to see more of it!! I was thinking of watching live, but fell asleep at 2:50am (ten minutes before the start)... my apocalypse team would be Jane (make the end of days bearable), Ellen (with her headshot prowess and adaptability) and Kermit (could use him as a distraction and when the zombies get tired of tossing puppet around he'll come back on his own).
Couldn't catch this live, but I love this new Jackbox game! I want to play it with some of my friends! Y'all are hilarious! Edit: "There's no bad way to blow stuff up" had me laughing so hard! XD
Running comments as I watch: DVDs definitely existed in the 1990s; I graduated college in 1999 and received a DVD player as a gift. But that said, DVDs 2090s would be a much more interesting find. I read 'bunch of extension cords' as 'bunch of extension cards', and was wondering why people weren't interested in digging through some guys old Magic collection for something rare and valuable. 'Bold statement' is nebulous... Lady Gaga immediately springs to mind. (Also in my 40s as indicated above). If you go to church on Sunday, you can't do brunch. Not that I do that, but it makes it easy to get into restaurants Sunday morning. Nobody owns books? My Amazon credit card bill and overloaded shelves disagree. Johnny (I have swords, he has axes, we're good), Jane (for science), Mike (for driving and explosives), and Luke (for LEGOs and music). Credits after you die would be horrible, all of your secrets would give up. Training Montage is amazing, you don't have to spend time getting good, it just happens. So long as it's not a tay-ko, it is fine. And I wasn't there to vote, but I had a bad (rotten) avocado once, and since then I can't eat guac w/o gagging. So no guac for me. A big red cox + Babe the Great Blue Ox = La Vache Mauve. Pigeon should have been higher. Those droppings with destroy you. You stab the good, you stab the bad, you stab them all and then you have The Facts of Knife (The Facts of Knife)... Worst theme park, Disneyland: Mordor. Mike: Why don't the viewers love me romantically? Also Mike: In your face, viewers.
I don't know how Mike got ranked so low for the zombie apocalypse. Mike ended up being my number one! - Works well under pressure. He's super chaotic in his Hitman playthroughs and performs well on the spot. - Wouldn't be scared of zombies. Never scared during horror streams. - Chaotic. Probably carries bombs with him. - Good driver. If we found a broken down car I bet he could fix it. He'd also be great at mowing down zombies. - Might try to hide a zombie bite, but he sucks at lying so I'd figure it out anyway. - Helpful and good team player, something I picked up on when Mike helped Ellen in Fear Academy. Anyways, fun game folks! Hope y'all play it again soon!
@ 23:28 Gaming Beaver cameo XD Also, yeah, I agree; most people don't have the luxury, time for something as frivolous and unnecessary as 'brunch', so that reaction was kinda silly to me XD (Also, as with any meal, it can be an any-day thing anyway, surely...? Must be a London thing...)
My favorite part of this stream is the whole crew’s response to the build your own taco question with guac and sour cream not being in the top three. It was great. 😂 And it was also correct too.
Being from the country that originated tacos, I don’t really mind if other countries take the idea and change it, but I have to say we make tacos from a very wide variety of foods and almost none of those choices or the mixture of those ingredients in a “taco” makes any sense to me.
As someone who lives in the southwestern US, listening to a bunch of brits try to figure out tacos was hilarious. Also, hard agree on Fish tacos, easy S-tier.
I mean I think they would all be useful in a zombie apocalypse. Especially in making a settlement. Johnny and Ellen both have a wonderful mix of optimism and pragmatism, so they'd be great at keeping everyone focused on the good stuff while also not letting everyone get complacent, a great trait for leaders. Jane's science knowledge would be all-around useful for all sorts of things, growing food, purifying water, maybe doing something like an electric fence. Mike's knowledge of cars would allow him to either fix a broken one/maintain a working one, so the guard patrols could have an armored car escort. Andy's historical knolwedge would make sure than the past isn't forgotten and that future generations learn from our mistakes. Andy & Luke's musical skill along with Johnn'y painting would bring art back into people's lives, giving them some joy and happiness.
For a lot of these games, I feel the audience is given way too much weight. You should be able to set how much the audience is counted as. Examples: - Each audience member weighted same as players - Audience collectively weighted as 1 (or 2/3/4) player(s) Also, for this game specifically: They really need more twists, rather than having them the same every game.
It's a compliment. "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, " = I know some of you, but I'd like to know you more. "and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." = I know you deserve to be liked much more.
the freak out over brunch i agree with mike. most people dont have the time or money to have brunch and honestly are working if anything, i dont know many people who still get weekends off even my own nieces and nephews dont get to relax on weekends in this current world
“I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve” = “Some of you are great and I wish I knew you better, and some of you are pricks but I like you anyway”
I feel like you guys put on Americanized British accents for us to make yourselves clearer and whatnot, which I appreciate. But I really do enjoy it when you use your native pronunciations and turns off phrases that are totally foreign to me. So... The bit where you were all shocked at how we say tacos and started mocking us made me smile.
Saying things with a long "a" sound is how posh/upper class people talk in the UK. So I guess saying "tahhh-cos" in the UK makes you sound like the Queen. (Hence the jokes about tacos with venison and cranberry sauce.)
I would watch a movie of Luke, Ellen, and Kermit surviving the apocalypse. If anyone in the crew can do a Kermit impression, you should play a coop zombie game with that setup
5:20 you know what else is weird? Lots of nerdy people who clearly watched the old Star Wars don't seem to retain the important plot point that Tarkin and Vader played Luke and crew during the whole Leia rescue operation so that they could track the Falcon to the rebel base. Nerd spaces are flooded with jokes about stormtroopers aim, based on scenes where the stormtroopers were losing on purpose.
1:15:25 "Tum Nums" sound like a snack food, like gingersnap flavor but big and soft like a marshmallow, maybe rolled in powdered sugar (I'm kinda thinking of Gulab Jamun). A Soft, Cute, & Comforting Snack! A phrase which would also not go amiss as Johnny's Tinder profile.
Luke was 7th for the Zombie Apocalypse Team?! But he ate that California Reaper bean like a champ, AND SURVIVED, I’d totally want him on a zombie apocalypse team!
For the creature not to turn big and red like clifford, may I suggest a Goose? They are terrifying enough without modifiers, see untitled goose game for examples.
I'm surprised Andy "Stealth Kill" Farrent scored as high, when the question was dealing with large hordes of Zombies. While those are good for keeping Zombies from finding you as quickly stealth users would get overwhelmed if the horde does find them.
Just to educate you guys on the build your taco part… it says “build” your taco. Meaning all those options are viable. It’s simply the order we put them on our tacos basically. Guacamole is a topping. Not the base. Unless you’re purely a vegetarian. >_> Obviously it was the meats first. Smh
Exactly!!! How one builds from the base up probably heavily influenced the answers. I build mine beef or chicken, then cheese, salsa, lettuce, sour cream. Given the provided answers and how I like mine-something like guac would be a bottom 3 pick for me.
When was the last time you had a pile of spiders bring you your shoes? Exactly. That's why sootballs win. That, and their diet of apparently bright-colored candy

Lots of fun, glad I could make most of it live. It was fun to be a Spider!
EDIT: Just finished watching this with my husband, very fun after a rewatch, got to see the half-hour I missed since I had to feed my younglings lunch. My husband and I were comparing our top answers as well, and it made for a fun night!
Love Johnny's solo stuff, but it is great to see them playing off of other people too. I hope you all are as good friends and have as much fun as you make it look like in these videos!
Goodness me, that taco question felt like the astronaut meme.
The top answer was beef?!?
Always has been…
American audience, where our Mexican food is made by actual Mexicans! And is amazing. Beef taco....amazing.
@@bison1203 I’m a English Brit like these are but get your point and agree 🙂
@@oxfanblink4115 As a mexican now I'm really curious about how is mexican food around the world. Hearing them talking about it and being so ofended was weird. Does England have a more american version of mexican food?? Or how do you get it?? Are there true mexican restaurants or are they more like taco Bell and chipotle?? Sorry I'm just curious 😅
@@kurofire75 There are surprisingly a lot of proper places that apparently do Mexican food not surprisingly most are down in London. Up here in the northern areas it’s mostly KFC and McDonalds by a large margin (like them vs us spiders 😂)
@@oxfanblink4115 That’s a lot of freaking McDonalds, same that with spiders, probably more than I would like to see 🤣
Life already HAS cool background music. I refuse to believe I'm the only one who just always has background music going on in my brain.
accurate name for the stream: The Oxbox Crew VS Chat Hivemind VS The Jackbox Servers
Luke, Kermit and Guy Fieri! Let’s go!
Starts at 0:52 fellow spiders 😁
🕷
How the heck was cheese not even a choice in the taco round!?
Maybe it was just so obvious that it wasn't worth listing.
I can’t believe they went straight for guac and sour cream and skipped taco essentials? How you gonna taco without the meats…
Easy, fish or beans, the hard part is taco without tortilla and salsa
Right? Who starts building a taco with guacamole and sour cream?
-Beef
-Cheese
-Lettuce
Then the rest of the taco!
@@borjesvensson8661 I skip beans due to allergies.
Lettuce being 7th is the greatest crime here.
@@JustinMcJustin Yeah, odd. I tend to load my tacos in the order of meat, lettuce, cheese, guac, sour cream, and sauce. Oh and cilantro if we have any.
Cilantro is a must when having fish tacos however. My Dad makes a strawberry salsa that goes sooooo good with fist tacos.
Me when Mike and Andy are arguing about the purple coat: Dad, dad... please stop fighting
I didn't know that cilantro DOESN'T taste like soap for some people. That explains its popularity, now. I never understood why people loved the taste of soap so much.
Weirdly, cilantro’s soap taste is something that comes and goes for me. Sometimes I hate it, sometimes it’s an essential ingredient in spicy salsa...🤷🏻♀️
Are you saying it tastes like generic soap, or that it tastes like the scent you find in a deodorant soap?
@@BogeyTheBear it tastes like ivory soap
@@BogeyTheBear I don’t eat enough soaps to specify the type of soapy taste. It’s just generically soapy to me.
Is there a soap eater sect, I don't know of, or do you just confuse taste with smell?
32:10 The way Luke says "Number one" had me ha-ha-ha-ing!
This was a lot of fun to watch. I watched it on a delay because of real life stuff, but even without participating it was still great fun.
I also just caught Luke's muttered "difficult, difficult, lemon difficult" going into the round of "Hello..." and picking them from bottom to top. Nice little In The Loop reference, if that was a reference to it. I think it's from that one; that or the related The Thick of It show.
Just me or is Johnny’s character the chaos hornbill from Oxventure D&D
I was imagining the crow from Death's Door, too.
Who voted for Jane as their number one pick in a zombie apocalypse? I recall many a Hitman video where she just traced outlines of intended targets with bullets!
Poor Mike 4 places below
Probably voted out of fear, Jane is deadly with a screwdriver…
Better to have only one enemy to worry about!
Intimidation tactic
The trouble with Root Canal Waterpark is there’s this straw that keeps sucking away all the water…
I was so excited to watch live while working from home, and then an hour before my internet went out and I had to go into the office :( Please do more jackbox!! Preferably before I have to go back into the office full time!!
50:06 Luke: "And I'm not even an actual bard!"
First result on Google: Luke Westaway: Musical artist
Creates a large part of the music for OX Channels
His personal channel is all about his creating of musics
If not you, then who????
43:20 - I look to my left at my bookshelf full of books.
Divorce Attorney Land:where all the roller coasters are emotional!
This was brilliant as usual guys 😀 Especially the wiggle accident and chaos later on 😂🤣😂🤣
1:38:01 You did it!
interesting to see that streamer mode play out, that was tense to see who would win. also in the end everyone won equally i guess
Hilarious stream!
Poor Luke getting picked barely ahead of Kermit 😂
i still snuggle with books, Mike. How else will i read all these DnD books sitting on my shelf??
Couldn't catch this live, but I love this new Jackbox game! I want to play it with some of my friends! Y'all are hilarious!
Edit: "There's no bad way to blow stuff up" had me laughing so hard! XD
Running comments as I watch:
DVDs definitely existed in the 1990s; I graduated college in 1999 and received a DVD player as a gift.
Watching on the VOD, and started singing "Spidernerds, Spidernerds" at the exact same time as Ellen!
1:37:27 Pirate Jester is amazing. Definitely one of my favorite characters from Critical Role. :D
@ 23:28 Gaming Beaver cameo XD
Also, yeah, I agree; most people don't have the luxury, time for something as frivolous and unnecessary as 'brunch', so that reaction was kinda silly to me XD (Also, as with any meal, it can be an any-day thing anyway, surely...? Must be a London thing...)
My favorite part of this stream is the whole crew’s response to the build your own taco question with guac and sour cream not being in the top three. It was great. 😂 And it was also correct too.
My fav bit from the whole stream, besides the Tolkien references, was Luke channeling Immortan Joe, that was absolutely hilarious!
All the taco arguments and nobody noticed that they left CHEESE out as a topping. I'd say all those others were optional compared to the cheese.
Welcome to Mysterious Rash City! Where you come in clean and come out redder than a beet! Better hope it's nothing serious!
Mike: "Ha! Sour cream's disgusting!"
I love you, Mike. Possibly not platonically now!
I think these 6 underestimate how many late 20s, early 30s people watch this channel xD
Examples:
- Each audience member weighted same as players
- Audience collectively weighted as 1 (or 2/3/4) player(s)
Also, for this game specifically: They really need more twists, rather than having them the same every game.
It's a compliment.
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, " = I know some of you, but I'd like to know you more.
"and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." = I know you deserve to be liked much more.
the freak out over brunch i agree with mike. most people dont have the time or money to have brunch and honestly are working if anything, i dont know many people who still get weekends off even my own nieces and nephews dont get to relax on weekends in this current world
I wish I could like multiple times just for that "tah-co" vs "ta-co" talk.
"Oh oh, no more tahcos for me, Mater! I'm off to play the grahnd piahno!"
“I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve” = “Some of you are great and I wish I knew you better, and some of you are pricks but I like you anyway”
It's now a dream of mine to pronounce "taco" in the American way exactly like you guys. I couldn't stop laughing hearing you all say "taaaco".
Loved this so much, can't even shout out a favorite moment. It's all gold!
I'm pretty lazy but I find home improvement with the proper tools relaxing and fun... it's more a thing of can and know how from what I've seen.
Two of my favorite movies Jumanji which Johnny mentioned, and Aladdin where Robin William played the Genie and the merchant at the beginning.
Obviously it was the meats first. Smh
Exactly!!! How one builds from the base up probably heavily influenced the answers.
I build mine beef or chicken, then cheese, salsa, lettuce, sour cream. Given the provided answers and how I like mine-something like guac would be a bottom 3 pick for me.
40:20 if you ever wanted proof of how damn British this bunch is, this is it.
When was the last time you had a pile of spiders bring you your shoes? Exactly. That's why sootballs win. That, and their diet of apparently bright-colored candy
