She has a Social anxiety disorder, something that is really hard to live through and ends mostrly with depression. Not only did she found someone that understands her but also hes able to keep up with it.
I love how when it comes to protecting Tadano even though Komi can't speak she will walk through you to do what needs doing. It's too bad she can't see how strong she is.

Here’s what I find interesting when Tadano made his sick call. How did he know it was Komi? She made only a small sound. That could have been anyone. So, the fact that Tadano instantly knew it was Komi is what makes it even sweeter.
Normally Tadano wouldn't know just by such small sound or noise. But Najimi will always use high voice the moment phone up and Komi are his closet along with Najimi so if he didn't call Najimi then Komi.
It also could be the caller ID. People sometimes hit the wrong contact on accident without realizing, and with him being so sick, he probably wasn't paying attention. He thought Najimi was who he called until he noticed a very non-Najimi voice on the other end, looked at the phone and bam, Komi.
Watching this scene makes me realize that I want a slice of life show that is literally…mundane life of a newly married couple, that’s it. No extreme drama, no obvious fan services, just a loving couple having each other to care in simplest way possible
