- 5 Rules to follow when working out:
1) workouts should always be done in an halal environment.
2) No use of steroids or haram substances
3) Correct dress code (with awrah covered)
4) Prayer comes before gym (pause workouts to pray)
5) Do not over workout (it will not make you stronger) the balanced approach is always best as we muslims are a balanced nation Alhamdulillah.

Narrated `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud):
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said (to me), "Recite the Qur'an to me." I said, "Shall I recite (it) to you while it has been revealed to you?"
He said, "I like to hear it from another person." So I recited Surat An-Nisa (The Women) till I reached the Verse:

"How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness, and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people.'"

Exactly! This video is somewhat spreading a bit of misinformation. The prophet and great sahabas ate as little as required. They weren't trying to pack on muscles to have "self-esteem" (pride in disguise) to feel confident. Having strong faith makes you strong, you learn to control yourself and unleash your strength where required, not for your nafs, but for the greater good.
The hadith about 'a strong believer is better and more beloved in the eyes of Allah SWT than a weak believer' can mean several things, but eating tons for muscles and looks and spending 1/8 of your day in the gym is certainly not what it means. Working out OR playing sports for fitness is enough, many powerlifters eat less and still are quite strong. Strong believer doesn't mean "i can press 100lbs more than you", rather being fit and active and being strong mantally and spiritually, and being a support to people in the society and not weak in all aspects, this is what it implies. Just analyse how majority of the bodybuilders are and what they are doing, and how they are helping the society by using their so called "strength".
No hate, please don't get this wrong. I've been lifting since high school alhamdulillah and quite strong, but I don't believe in eating tons to increase my bodyweight. How can eating 3 people food be justified when there are millions starving and barely living ? A humble slave in humility can never justify this.

Strength and body building does not have same goals. You can do strength training with just five exercises, commonly referred to as 5x5 strong, but you can even do lot with three/four exercises, such as dead-lift or squats, bench press and clean press, if you just keep challenging yourself.
Is protein powder permissible? Recently i heard a boy in UK died while taking it , since then the boxes come with a caution.

A thing not often said. When using supplements that come in gel caps, pay special attention. Many of these gel caps are made from gelatin, which is from the pig.
If it does not state otherwise on the packaging, ie veggie caps then it's gelatin.

the hadith about the strong believer refers to strength of iman not of body
Allahu a'lam
as far as i know
brother the hadeeth (المؤمن القوي خير و أحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف و في كل خير) does not use قوي (strong) to show physical strength, it is used to describe taqwa, Iman, knowledge, and restraint. It can also include physical strength if it is something that assists the person to commit good deeds. I know that your intention is to promote a good and valuable concept, but do not misinterpret the hadeeths meaning.

Oh Allah, forgive all of our past, present, and future sins, Ameen.
Asalamalakum. I used to be a personal trainer, bodybuilder, powerlifter and testosterone supplements manufacturer for some years and I will say this is a highly overlooked Sunnah. I've even heard some sheikh's make fun of Muslims who strength train or kind of shame the idea of having a six pack. It's not ok to be sitting back with the big bellies full of rice and lamb 🐑 fat talking about what is Sunnah and neglecting this one. However with regards to steroids. Testosterone replacement therapy (steroids) might be necessary for a man who's unable to produce his own testosterone. In fact. I know a brother who has to take testosterone (steroids) just to have a normal level of testosterone. However if you're a young man who has no issues with making your own testosterone, I urge my brothers to seek natural remedies that don't disrupt natural hormone production to enhance performance and there are MANY natural remedies that can yield positive results. I hope this helps and while we're here check out OSS-Test. It's a natural testosterone booster that doesn't harm your own production with halal veggie capsules.
Walaikum Assalam Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Barakatahu. Yes I have read repeatedly that modern men suffer from a deficit of testosterone. May Allah strengthen the Muslims.

That Hadith is so often incompletely quoted and misinterpreted. It is talking about imaan NOT the body. Nothing wrong with working out but we have to be careful with the words of the Prophet SAW
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan.”

Yes, as long as it’s within reason and doesn’t cause harm. Exercising and being healthy and strong is encouraged in Islam. As long as you’re not pushing it too far and hurting yourself or using steroids it’s halal.
As long as dont use steroid, taking protein n bodybuild is fine, just not take part in any bodybuilding competition, coz you need to be half naked and it is sinful definitely
What kind of a fool needs to know whether it's halal or haram? Have no common sense? Why will someone bother to be a muslim if building one's own body was haram? People are motivated by desires for gains, not desire for losses.
