It's a lovely car. Sad I never got a chance to meet it in person. Next time you're in Cornelius check out the '69 in the body shop that we're in the process of bringing back to life. It's going back bone stock. Sepia brown with steel wheels and hubcaps. Extensive metal work in process.

I understand for 911 air cooled sales, BaT is the only way to go. However, cars and bids is much better for MOST other cars. Some of the comments, and questions on BaT can get toxic,irrelevant and obnoxious…I’ve bought many off BaT…I shy away from selling on their platform…If your selling try CaB. (Air cooled 911’s aside)..for now. …GLWTA 🎉. This dude is on point. I would totally let him list it and wait for the sale, simply worth it’s weight in gold for 99% of sellers.
@@changedrivenclt yea but I think the sellers should provide one with the listing. Also most sellers are not close to your location or not willing to take the car to have it done. The typical response is “you are welcome to inspect the car and bring a mechanic”. Most people get caught up in the emotion / excitement and forgo a PPI. The seller of this Blue beauty is also being a bit of a hypocrite. He has posted videos stating to not buy a car without a PPI…but he is selling one.
Good point. I believe I would have a PPI performed by a reputable air, cooled mechanic and post that information for all to see if I ever were to sell.
Will, you do a great job with your commentary and videos. You personally provide a lot of insight and info on all your cars. I think all the previous videos is helping the value on BAT. I'm guessing most bidders have already seen this car or certainly a lot more traffic with your UA-cam influence. I'm curious, you could have easily listed this on your own and saved what ever commission they are gonna charge you. I know you mentioned trolls and comments etc but you get that on here sometime anyway. What made you decided to use this guys vs just listing yourself? You do have a very good brand already IMHO.
Hey. Thanks for the compliments. Really appreciate the support. I hired Patrick for a couple of reasons: 1. I wanted an expert to handle the details and manage the process. There’s a benefit to getting someone with experience on your side. Also, it was a time thing. 2. I hear you about getting hate sometimes on the channel. Pretty much comes with the territory and oddly enough is pretty infrequent…however, for whatever reason, when I have six figures $$$ at stake it just kind of creates stress for me that I would rather not deal with. 3. I thought it would be cool for the viewers to follow this process on the channel from the perspective of my working with someone who has done so many of these. Thanks again! Hope that makes sense.
Hey BAT guys - I have been dealing with Rudy Dousset, over at BAT and was going to auction off a 2001 Series 100 in Thundercloud - I am the original owner - the car is 100% original no rust CA truck. It has no paint work. BAT told me it was one of the best examples they had seen in a long time - the interior is like new. All maintenance is up to date including a dealership oil change and new wipers yesterday - new tires last week. I was just informed by Rudy at BAT that because it has just gone over 200K miles they will no longer accept it at auction at this time - they said they have too many cars in the que and that maybe they would take it in the fall but didn't feel this was a good time of year - and that they were starting to turn down higher mile auctions - of course us LC guys know 200K is just broken in. I have run synthetic oil since my first oil change. I have all the paper work - it was purchased new from Valencia, CA Toyota. The LC is now located at my place in Santa Fe, NM. If anyone has any interest feel free to reach out to me - I would be pleased to share all the BAT photo's and provide the specifics. Best
Do you recommend having a reserve on the auction? I know BAT doesn't like reserves but it concerns me that the vehicle won't sell for the min price i want?
I have a 76S 3.2 conversion in ice green metallic that I’m sorting and will drive this season. I also have a Cayman S and a 993, and I have just not found myself driving the 69. I am also someone who values jumping in, experiencing a car, then moving on to the next experience. If you have watched my channel over time you can see that’s how I enjoy my 911’s.

Oh my gawd I cant belive you sold the 69. You didnt even drive her instead you spent all your time finding her inperfections instead of seeing her perfection... You know what man I dont think your a Porsche dude . Your certainly are not a vintage Porsche guy. You just need to stick with brand new Porsches . Your definitely strike me as more of a accountsnt type that wahts to look cool but not really into the driving experience. Well I hope your 2nd 993 was worth getting rid of that gorgeoes 69 . I bet Porsche collectors love to see you coming . By the way that driver knows how to make your 69 911T sing . I never heard your 69 hit exhaust notes like that until he drove it

What I still don’t like about BAT is the lack of PPI’s being performed. Don’t think I could buy a car on that site.

I would put a reserve on it. They’ll tell you if it’s realistic or not.
