You can shoot dropships themselves with energy siphon to gain a large portion of your shields
Same with grunt
Shield siphon works om grunts as well. Pretty much anything that damage applys to gives shields

I think that even if they use nuclear ejection, there is always that kid that thinks that they can push through with their legion and then you just obliterate them. Honestly you should always go for that energy steal because of how much health it gives you when you execute the opponent. It is literally the point between life and death.

Yeah. 1 kill/12 assists. 2 kills/13 assists. 0 kills/10 assists. I can't figure out why this is happening, but with my usual titan (Ion) I'm typically 7-10 kills.

A couple days ago I joined a match late and used Monarch and completely turned the battle around. Its so satisfying!
I love when that happens. Once I joined an Eden match and my entire team was held down in one corridor by the enemies. I literally just flanked them with no resistance and turned the battle faster than Frothys technique of building core

I dont get it why executions makes no sense for you. The titan is doomed, all exposed, weak to get hit and finished after getting loads of damage all over the chassis. Makes sense for me. And makes an amazing gameplay.

With Battery Thief I run Turbo engine so I can chase down those finishers to get health and core

@mayte dude titans have a fucking huge ass hitbox, if you executed someone without invencibility you get decimated at the same time by minions, pilots, titans and reapers since you are a sitting duck, pilots atleast are small enough to mostly be interrupted by other pilots

The thing about monarch is that she is good, versatile titan. However, she seems to only be able to really good against other titans based on her build. The Titans that gives her the most trouble to me are legion and ronin. Legion has a a large enough health pool and can do enough damage to kill you before you can kill him. Ronin and can com bombard you quickly and monarch isn't really fast. Since Ronin gives me the most trouble, i take the missile racks, so when ronin charges me I use the energy siphon to slow him and use the missile rack kit to do so much damage to him and pop smoke and that works really well.
David Simmons Tone is pretty effective against her as well, especially if you don't have arc rounds. Ion can be a problem if it has shield amplifier as well.
Reid Gilbert Yeah, it's like I said. You basically have to build for certain titans but overall she is good. I don't have problem with tone too much personally unless I'm on an open space. Basically, I try to stay out of her kine of sight, but yes tone can be a problem. I still think Ronin's sheer damage output and his ability to rush you is the biggest problem, with legion closely behind because your only recourse is to get close and use Malestrom or take advantage of his slow movement and reposting to a Better place to fight.

Reid Gilbert That's whay I use smoke to bresk her line of sight and try to reposition to a better place to fight. Even so, generally I don't have much problems with them as I so Ronins or legions

I think scorch should have a bull charge built into flame shield, like U can sprint while holding up flame shield, and u get a 150% speed boost to sprint. That, combined with a flame self damage reduction would fix the entire titan Imo.

Reid Gilbert well he said that a bull charge should be implemented into flame shield right? a bull charge wouldn't really be a good option because you're charging into the enemy with just a flame shield. when that runs out you'll be torn apart by the enemy team. I know this isn't related to what I originally said but we have to think about real situations with the bull charge

Thinking of Monarch kits:
Tracer Shots - every 20 connected chaingun shots on a titan highlights them for 7 seconds (like sonar pulse)
Advanced Engineering - tighter chaingun spread and salvo fires in a straight line instead of whirling
Rapid Rearm - change it to also give you an extra charge of siphon and salvo ONLY if rearm is used when they are both NOT on cooldown and are already available. Maximum amount of charges you can stack is 2 for each of them (seeing that rapid rearm gives you too many ready rearms which you don't really need right away)
Shield Amp - change it to increase shield gain by 50%

I would really like it when Rapid Rearm also reloads your gun.

Use the energy siphon on grunt dropships. It's good to do this when u know other titans aren't near so it can regen when u actually need it.

Doesn't need it, in house testers and people who swear by Scorch agree Scorch's stacking damage capability with one creating a shield that can be buffed to last longer and do more damage is plenty powerful, you just need to play it in the right maps and playstyle.

FrothyOmen what do you think of the archer I think it's turn radius might be to tight I feel like even when j dash away when it's close to hitting or I hide behind a building and the rocket turns so fast I find it annoying since even when I try to focus and dodge them I can't don't know if I'm being a noob or doing something wrong what do you think to me the archer is the most annoying anti Titan weapon since people just spam the lock on at you which isn't that skill full I think it would be cool if electric smoke blocked the archer locks or maybe some other way to counter it

The only reason I like the multi target rockets are because bt’s exposition loadout has it and it is great.

The only reason I think people tend to think she's OP is because that's what the vast majority of people are playing. No matter what, there's always gonna be at least 2-3 monarchs on the enemy team so it might seem like she's OP because of there being so many. She's a pretty fair titan imo and I use the same loadout as you frothy, (racks, maelstrom, and superior chassis)

"Monarch will not carry a game" man, I've been the first to fall in many attrition matches as monarch and carried the entire game absolutely dominating in the match, without leaving my titan the entire time since I dropped it
My monarchs gen 24 so here's my advice
Use:
Arc rounds
Superior chassis
Maelstrom
Be happy
I got my first level 3 upgrade without dying immediately yesterday thanks to these tips. I was using superior chassis though and I upgraded while I was doomed so it had zero effect :( but hey, a win’s a win. In fact, I did this three times yesterday and managed to finally get him upgraded without being doomed, it was truly glorious.
Wow ETREMELY in-depth and I like what you said- even your mistakes are fine because the emphasis how important some of this is is still there. Also I’ve been an avid monarch fan and I never knew that the core upgrades refreshed your smokes by 2. Very cool.
The refreshing of 2 smokes pee core was removed as a bug unfortunately
What do you think about a kit that allows Monarch to use abilities without interrupting the XO-16? Like while you're firing the chain gun, you could be locking on missiles or aiming an energy syphon
I also found this at the fandom: The more health a target has, the more shields Energy Siphon will return on hit.
Great vid! I really appreciate the damage number evaluations. Not because I geek out and calculate DPS, but it's great for knowing when I see a 50% health titan, I can wipe him/her off the map.

I've been running the first loadout frothy recommends but instead of missile racks I've been using the Arc Rounds for tearing down Tone's particle wall and Legion's gun shield, it seems pretty good for that and you get to deal some damage to the titan and strip away that ability, rockets probably do the same job as good or better tho.

Thanks for the guides Frothy, I've been increasingly playing TF2 more and more over this past Apex season and these Titan Mastery guides have helped so much! I also see how you find executions OP in a sense cause even though a titan is doomed they can still do a great amount of damage on you. However someone can easily stop that last incoming damage if they just get close and punch them. Not only that but you, yourself, take no damage while in the execution.
never realized superior chassis heals you too. I always thought "why use superior chassis when ill be almost dead by then anyways" more you know i guess
i once took out a legion by myself with Monarch, but I constantly slid around the legion confusing them and I just picked him off. Yet I took a lot of damage.
awesome stuff frothy! in the original leaks of the monarch, the energy siphon AOE effect only seemed to do anything to the titan or person closest to the blast. i'm pleased the non-shield drain aspects of it work against multiple foes, so i'm gonna have to actually try it soon. cheers!

i think the best way to run monarch is with survival of the fittest and stealth auto eject
i think you know it was a joke but still the only thing this load out does is make it so you have no doomed state or titan specific kit
If it's tvt and the enemy team is all on the other side of the map you can get enough time to get out of doomed state with phase embark, but that just doesn't happen that often and you're better off making sure your shield's are as high as they can be as much as possible.

My favorite core combination for me is core 1 arc rounds, core 2 is faster rearm and reload, and then for core 3 use XO-16 accelerater it makes your primary a Titan melter.
I like how they improved arc rounds so they sap vortex and flame shields faster so you can fight against those kids who walk back and hold up their shield
I love playing support in PvP games, so I'm really happy we got a new titan which is capable of that role really well.

I have had many instances where I hit a doomed titan, he loses health and I get a hit marker so I know I'm not missing, but nothing happens except the enemy getting pushed back to safety.

@Titanfallgame I have an idea for a new titan! I hope you guys like it! Okay this titan is called Engineer what this titan has for hp is 3 bars and is a strighter chassie.
Ability's
Weaponry- Brute from Campaign
1- repair node (heals allied titans with ethier a shot of health or a stream like a medi gun in TF2)
2-Jump (this allows the titan to jump with ablitys to dash in air, giving strategic planning and advantages)
3-shild charger (recharges your shilds but makes them less effective to DM over all, Balancing)
Core ability- Repair Core (repairs 2000 hp to you and heal target, or heals AOE for 200 per Sec)
Kit 2
Enhanced Nano Bots- increases heal rate on allied titans from 200 hp per sec to 300... 10%
Hell jumpers- increases jump hight by 12 %
Hidden Silo- give the "Brute" an extra missile
Halo- Gives an extra heal rate to the repair core by 20%

by the way your tip on aiming for the feet for splash instead of trying to get direct hits horizontally absolutely changed my game for the better, I'd been neglecting using the rockets at all because I couldn't land them, totally didn't think about aiming them differently.

Maybe the damage done to your own titan can be very less compared to the damage done to the enemy titan.

A way I use it which seems really efficient is when you see a titan use energy siphon hit them with rocket, rearm energy siphon and rockets then lay a whole mag into them while Dodging their attacks to your best ability
Used to play on ps4 i played a lot of the first game but not a lot of titanfall 2, through gamesharing im returning to titanfall 2 on xbox and im addicted and have decided that im now a monarch main, im into the medium titans cause i don't like being squishy or slow. I also understand monarch is somewhat complicated but at the 3rd upgrade core she becomes an absolute unit. Very fun titan with some really interesting depth. When I play frontier defense with my friends I use energy transfer, but solo I run arc rounds

Wow dude thanks for the build videos.I'm more or less of brand new player I played the trial when you know more or less when it came out but I really didn't start playing until about a week and a half ago and as soon as I saw monarch I was like chomping at the bit to get it unlocked.I haven't unlocked now and I'm like maybe they just six or seven I'm not sure and but last night was the first time I really saw the power.I haven't done any PVP at all just frontier defense but I used your build with the xo1 accelerator. I mean actually I had already use the healing build and I tried the other uild relies heavily on the missilesbut I think that one is probably way more effective in PvP which I haven't actually tried yet cuz I have a feeling that in the underdeveloped state of both my pilot in my Titans you know I probably would just be cannon fodder. ultimately I settled on using the accelerator build in PVE on frontier defense and I would literally just do a single combo of siphon missile barrage and then xo1 a new Titan down to Doom State won combo each Titan I killed so many Titans and I pulled the thingobviously the beginning of the second wave you know as soon as possible and I never once dipped out of my first fire of health during the entire thing and something else I noticed that you didn't I maybe I missed it but you didn't seem to mention it is that standing in your ownelectric field restores your shield or it seems to in any case I never dipped below I can't find batteries and give them the other Titans that needed them because mine didn't then that I lasted with that one Titan the entire for waves that I had him out.I think I killed over 40 Titans with it I mean you're right you use the word I didn't use the work beast and he is a God damn beast.oh and let's not forget the upgrades I was getting one of those like you know I bet you every two Titans I kill that get another upgrade and restore my Shields again I mean I don't I don't know that I ever lost the shields at all in the 5th Wave.
Also played a tone and ion. And using your suggestions for how to play those two I was also very successful. I mean either tone or ion are nearly as sustain a bowl as monarch but I did the same thing with tone I had like roughly 40 Titan kills with him as well each time I played him I got the alcalade. I mean I'd already figured out that over cars. Probably the best choice honestly for almost every situation because the faster you get your core the faster you can do massive damage but I was unleashing laser course over and over again I mean it was one instance where I put three new Titans in the Doom State at once.unfortunately I was too close and couldn't get out of reach before one of them blue but still I'll trade 3 for 1 my Titan was already in bad shape and we got a victory before I could even respawn.
anyway thanks for the build ideas I had already been doing the healing build the support function with monarch.I came to realize though that that's not really that useful they only get a small amount of shield and it just gets stripped off in a very short time anywayand after seeing how beastly my heart can be when you play it aggressively with the right build I'm probably not going to change back..I mean that carried the team several times when everybody white but me and I was last night and standing and was getting just getting mobbed at the harvester and managed to kill everything and keep the harvester alive and tell everybody could respawn.and you know what I didn't do a single in that entire last battle I fought last night I did not do a single execution. I stayed alive solely off of siphoning and core upgrades for 4 waves. And it's not like I haven't stayed alive by I frequently get you know longest Titan life as an alcaladebut this time I did it with almost full health and no batteries I I gave away my battery's I I also have gotten the most Titan healing several times now without using psiphon to heel anyway thanks for the video is giving the advice on monarch and I am told I am really got into play in any of the rest of them yet

Used to run a north star but I tried monarch and was terrible at it. I finally got good at using the siphon and salvo combo and now she wrecks everything. North Star is still good though. Monarch just feels so good to use when you actually do good with her.
