The reason new bolts were supplied is cause bmw uses aluminum bolts which are one time use. Never reuse the bolts same goes for the ones for the water pump, they are also aluminum one time use bolts
Thanks for the honest review, a lot of people falling for the trap. Can you please share heat up time though? Absolutely everyone is talking about temps down, no one speaks of temps up!
I could compare that if you’d like, unfortunately now I have a dual oil cooler in a series along with this Mosselman thermostat as well, so it’ll take even longer to warm up haha
@@FOFRacing ah ok, no worries bro, this even shows more that this T-stat does nothing more than the simple cheap billet BMS or FTP T-stats. If now with dual coolers you need even more time to heat up, this means that the stat is constantly open even at low temp and oil circulating non -stop and this is not how a proper T stat should work.
Thanks for saying the truth and saving me $$$ for not buying this. My E92 N54 is a heat generating monster and I thought buying and installing this would help… now I know its a money trap. 👍🏾
I would have done that to torque spec... And I hope you bought the more expensive gasket... Cuz if you leave the car out in the cold it will definitely leak... Ask me how I know😂😂😂
@@FOFRacing fcpeuro sales two different gaskets. A cheaper one and more expensive one... The cheaper one will leak if you leave the car out in cold temps. If the car is garage kept is probably not an issue.... But it's not a problem until it becomes a problem 🤣🤣
Ahhhh fair enough, I haven’t had any issue since installing and I’ve added a secondary oil cooler to the thermostat housing itself. But I did however order a bunch of extra gaskets the other day for future needs between both of my N54s lol
@@brokeitracing1320Dude what are you talking about. Elring is an OE manufacturer for BMW. The expensive gasket is most probably either a victor reinz or elring gasket thats been marked up.

I think once combined with a bigger oil cooler you’ll def see bigger temp drops and be more satisfied
🔥🔥
Much love
