I’m not Irish but I like this song maybe because I love Ireland and Irish people. I’ve been working with them on vessels. Nice, open and simple people not like British. I have nothing against UK, it’s not my story but feel deep sympathy to Ireland in it’s fight for independence. I wish Ireland to be united finally. Brendan Herrera is making awesome video!
3:39 I just wish I could hear this part on repeat it’s such ear candy just the guitar riff and the vocals are just MMM love it makes me wanna go lift an actual ton
This cover was used as partial inspiration for a tabletop character I made, who is basically if the TF2 medic was a republican(in the classical sense) partisan in 40k.
What is the story of this song? From Brandon Herrera's depiction and from what I can understand from the lyrics, it sounds like a Pro-IRA song taking place during the Troubles, but I can't be sure. I'm incredibly curious if you could explain it.
How could the song be written "during the War of Independence" as Dominic wasn't born until 1928. Neither is it written "about the war of independence" or the IRA or The Black and Tans during the war of independence and those who think it is, just don't understand the lyrics.
@Parsimonious The songs not about the Black and Tans of the war of independence ffs, where do you guys come up with this rubbish? Listen to the 1st verse ffs its autobiographical D'oh!
Heard you guys today for the first time on the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast and I’m hooked! Ready to see you grow! Where are you located? I’d like to get you involved with my local Celtic Fest!
Have the BRN 180 and absolutely love it. Such a smooth shooting rifle and I wish that the short stroke gas pistons succeeded over DI and The AR-180 wasn't such a flop. I just wish short stroke rifles weren't so expensive and then maybe that system would gain more popularity if the rifles that used it didn't cost at least 900
Dude you might want to read up on some history, black and tans refer to the British army uniforms worn during the Irish revolution. It does not refer to anyone's skin color. Context matters
Thanks AK Jesus

I too came here because an American celebrated St. Patrick's day with some troubled weapons.

This song sounded racist enough as it is but to hear it without an Irish accent just makes it sound somehow more racist.
