Just completed this thanks to your guide! This is where I saved, hopefully this can help someone Save 1 - 22:30 Save 2 - 41:30 Save 3 - 1:06:30 Save 4 - 1:26:00 Save 5 - 1:48:00 Optional Save 1 - 2:12:40 (I saved here because the next room kept giving me trouble) Save 6 - 2:46:20 Optional Save 2 - 3:14:30 (I wasn't sure how difficult the next room would be and I did not want to have to replay the ballroom and Garradors so I decided not to risk it.) Save 7 - 3:20:30 Save 8 - 3:43:25 Optional Save 3 - 4:11:10 (I know I have trouble with the upcoming area based on previous runs) Save 9 - 4:29:15 Optional Save 4 - 4:36:00 (This is kind of a random save but I hate the Krauser fight and I know how difficult the upcoming area can be and the game is almost over so I used one of my three remaining saves here) Final Save! - 4:56:00
I have to say, I usually NEVER comment on videos, but I followed your guide basically step for step and I got my cat ears FINALLY! You were very confident about the timing, and you really didn’t rush at all and made professional seem like a challenge instead of an impossible nightmare. Thanks so much for the video dude, it was EXCELLENT 👌🏼
I just finished my Professional run in 4 hours and 53 minutes! I’m so happy! I unlocked the cat ears, deer antlers, chicken hat and wolf tail. I had previously done a hardcore run trying to unlock the chicken hat but I failed since I spent 5 hours and 41 minutes. I was sad and discouraged from playing the game again. I found your video guide here and started watching and it motivated me to try again. Thank you so much for creating it. Your strategies are really useful and made parts of the game so much easier and attainable. It was a great idea to include the time you spent in each chapter, this made it easier to keep track of mine. Your commentary is witty and funny, you certainly kept me engaged and interested throughout the whole video. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re helping lots of people. Especially people like me who were intimidated of playing a new game in professional to get S+ rank. Your accent is also really cool to listen to. Thanks again man!
Thank you sooo much Optinoob. I just completed my first try S+ run (relatively haha) pain-free because of you. My final time was 4:40:53. I found your methods to be the most consistent, and I agree with your approach that even if the method takes a little more time, it’s better to be consistent on a trick that takes only a minute than roll the dice on a hard trick that saves 30 seconds. I took about 4 days total doing this run, and each day I found myself looking forward to hearing your voice and the funny jokes you’d tell (saying the fish smell wasn’t Ashley made me lol). Anyways, I appreciate the work you put into this, and for bringing me one step closer to platinum. The hard parts over, now I can enjoy the rest of the plat!!
I’m late to this game, but I have to thank you so much for this guide. Not only did it get me my professional s+ but a sleep-deprived me was in stitches about your horrible RNG in the maze, the lithographic puzzle, and the “holy halo handle.” “THAT DOG!” Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this guide just finished it with a time of 5 hours fifteen minutes tried at least 6 times before this one with various guides but failed every time but with guide I've finally done it 👍
Straight up your guides are one of the if not the best on here, I remember using your guide for salt and sanctuary as well, you explain everything you need to without any other time wasting rubbish. The perfect guide thanks mate👍
Starts that you used that are epic : Going from church to gigante, the part where you wait 2 seconds before jumping, saved a shot: damage and it stops the 2 guys spawning. Also love how the gigante strat also goes hand in hand with cabin strat with maxed out shotgun. And your strat to stealth kill everyone before savage mutt is great. I also knifed the mutt , just didn’t expect it to work on professional 😆
dude you’ve been helping me complete all the RE games and you have no idea how much of a lifesaver you’ve been. If it weren’t for your guides, I’d probably would’ve just ditched these platinums. Thank you dude and keep doing what you do best. If there were to be another REmake around the corner, I’ll know who to go to. ❤❤
Just wanted to say thanks for this video Opti, was able to finish my professional S+ today in 4:34 following your guide. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Great guide as ever. Bizarrely the hardest part of this run for me was the damn del lago. I didn't save at the fish village and saved just before that boss and glad I did because he killed me a dozen times. Seems much harder on professional even though I've read that enemy health isn't actually increased on professional...
Im routing No Bonuses atm mate so hopefully I can get some nice strats from Ch7 onwards without infinite handcannon. My Ch1-7 has changed a little as well
@@chadwickporter9662 yeah they cut alot out of this one who would have thought now the town before the mine cart section is just a house in the middle of it and certain death scenes are cut like getting grabbed in the molting lava room you can't get grabbed no more from the el gigante certain death animations are censored
I got my S+ with almost an hour to spare. This guide is absolutely cracked, and your knowledge of this game is insane. Though I will add on PC I had trouble with the stairway knight juke in Ashley's section, but I figured out that if you turn the FPS down to 30 on the stairs it's easier to slip past him (saw this in a speed run). Thank you!
Just wanted to say thank you for this guide. I had tried a handful of others that were more catered to PC players (rifle heavy) and only made it to the cabin. Following this guide, I finally got my cat ears. I also laughed a lot, so thanks for that as well. If I am looking for guides in the future, I'll be stopping by your channel first. Excellent work.
I’ve watched a few guides for s+ and this is by far the best for casual players. There are even places you can do different strata and save time if your struggling on other areas. Cheers dude. I’m currently on 7th save haha
Good shout mate, definitely are some good alternates! Ive gone for these, quite slow in spots strategies just because they felt like the easiest and consistent to do with minimal practice. Got a No Bonuses run going up tomorrow, routed very similarly
@@Optinooby yeah I’ve been following it. Only changed a couple things myslef like after the first save I speedrun it rather than kill everyone as I got that area down
Thank god i found your channel again, you helped me a few years ago on re 2 remake and now i need your guide on 4 remake. I find your strategy is fast but safe too, easy to follow for a casual gamers
I never usually leave comments, but I wanted to leave you one given how helpful this guide was. I managed mine in 04:38:18 which helped me bag the PS5 platinum trophy. Thanks so much for this guide, it was a joy to follow along with you!
This guide saved my busted Pro attempt. I had one save before Gigante and one before Cabin, both were dead ends, didn't want to start over from scratch. I found this guide, beat Gigante (saved the dog, oops), and then started incorporating your strategies. I was able to get a L4 shotgun by Cabin and beat it first try! I went with CS instead of HC after testing both infinite ammo guns in CH7, caught up for using extra saves early, and finished with a time of 5:06. Now I am doing a Pro run, no bonus weapons, w/Cat Ears. Taking my time w/infinite ammo and saving at every typewriter is a dream after S+ Pro! Thank you so much for this incredible guide.
The GOAT! Thank you so much for posting!eta: also glad that we FINALLY have a guide for console users. This game is a different (harder) beast on console! Eta: you’ve got some clankers for doing this without Ashley’s armor!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ❤❤❤ I commented almost 2 days ago that im on my run following your guide for my Last Hardcore S+ trophy. When i reached chapter 2 i saw that i had one golden upgrade ticket remaining, so i started the game again on PROFESSIONAL I used the ticket and did the infinite ammo FOR Chicago sweeper! And then i followed your strategy to collect 30 spinels and get the cannon infinite by the time we reach to castle! That made my run really really easy, i skipped so many treasures and loot lol that makes me realizes that you are such a pro player God Bless! Like you are soo good mate!! Hats off to you!! What brains you got!! Did saves at random places, died a lot, but i didn't gave up! At last i managed to complete the run in 4:53:53! And.. I got my PLATINUM FOR RE4 REMAKE❤❤❤❤ I Watched your guides to help me with the treasures as well, you helped me unlocked more then 80% of the trophies, lol You helped me got the hardest trophies for re2 remake as well just need to finish the 4th survivor for re2 Platinum. I tried following someone else guide but i couldn't manage to clear chapter 1 lol, Idk why but EVERY TIME YOUR GUIDES ALWAYSSSSS WORKS FOR ME LIKE ALWAYS!!!!! Never once I've returned from your channel without getting helped!! Like im so grateful to you for such an amazing guide!! You deserve million followers seriously!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you❤❤❤
This is the LAST trophy that I need to get my platinum, and with this guide, I shall give it ONE LAST SHOT, and youll have my support for life if I pull this off..........wish me luck lads and lasses
Here's something that might save your run: at 4:40:00, you can use 1x heavy and 1x regular grenade to destroy the turret hounding Mike, instead of 2x heavy. This is useful because you can spare the other heavy grenade to clear most enemies off the balcony at 4:41:38. Works a treat. Also, I had a shield guy appear right at the top of the stairs, in the middle of them, bottlenecking me each time at 4:40:17, whereas on this run through the enemies gave Opti some room and the shield guy was stuck behind another enemy further back. So it became a bit of a run killer as this caused some serious RNG issues getting past. If this happens to you, the best method is to grab a rifle, use the thermal scope, and headshot the shield guy from the bridge where you throw the grenades at the turret. The shield guy will be waiting at the top of the stairs and to the right, side on so his shield is not in the way, and its an easy shot. Just be ready to run because you'll be further back when Mike blows the gate. Lastly, if you don't have enough flashes, and you're really stuck, another method you can use is a rifle strategy to pick off enemies on those turrets/balconies from the tower in the previous area. Use the thermal scope. Obviously takes a fair bit longer though.
This guide was seriously on point!! I rarely if ever write reviews but honestly I feel compelled to as it was that good. I just finished this with a time of 5:14 so was close to the mark, but I would have never been able to get past anything without this guide. I followed couple others but not as strategic or near enough as good as this. Thank you
Glad to assist mate, I think my No Bonuses guide is a little more refined. Though with that 1, I kinda think I shouldnt have used the Crossbow for the sisters and Mendez and should have stuck with the max upgraded shotgun
@@Optinooby I started using your no bonus guide but then swapped back to this one after getting to the main castle bit and stuck on the main hall fights with the halo valve thing. I re-loaded back to pre-gigante to utilise this strat instead. This is more a comment to help anyone else who reads and attempts this, but I definitely agree r.e the crossbow strat vs. this one . I think swapping to the crossbow is a bit more of an advanced strat than the shotty (It's my second run so I'm relatively new). Either way, cracking guides and this isn't a criticism, just wanted to post to help any others who consdier both options. Even if you choose NOT to use the RPG/handcannon, I think this strat with the shotty is more of a safety net for noobs like me simply because the crossbow loads all your money into something only really useful for a boss, whereas at least the shotgun is always useful and you can just use gunpowder to build one thing isntead of 2 (sharing it between flash grenades and bolts when flashbangs are so useful). Also, the flashbang and knife strat on things like piggies and the bella sisters is easier for someone as crap as me,
Thank you so much !! I used this guide to get s+ on hard and it was really helpful I actually couldn’t do it before watching your guide. I love your videos so much, your guides also helped me with Re3 ! Thanks again
Whew just made it under 5 hours. Your guide was seriously the best one. All other guides i looked through relied on dlc treasure and spindle luck, but you made sure you get 30 spindels by ch7 with the wolf which was crazy. Thank you
I almost used the RNG spinels, but if i was, I was going to have us reload saves until we got a spinel from the crate a few steps away and we would have done that a few times. Pretty much guaranteed then and the way other guides should be utilising the RNG spinels. Though as u see, didnt have to in the end ;)
got the plat. thanks opti i like this pkaythrough more because it didnt include the extra treasures lol also guys. remember we have 5 extra saves so make use of it. i recommend saving just before the doggo part in ch9, sewer area with one spiky regen (forgot which ch) and ch14 where you're going yolo with flashbag to get to the switches and door. oh and maybe b4 the cabin part. my final time was at 5:18 😅
Nice job brother! And thanks. i found your guide when i was on about chapter 11 and thinking i wasnt going to finish in time. I was able to collect all the health items thanks to you and preview my exact route. Also handy pointers with the regneradors. It is greatly appreciated! My 15th save was right before the krauser fight 😂. I was more nervous on that jet ski than i ever have been playing a video game in my life. By far. 5:03 ! Thanks again.
Thanks for this guide, I managed to finish with less than a minute left, so those Flash bangs really, really helped. Managed to get past everything post-krauser by just spamming a metric shit ton of Flash bangs
As usual your guides came in clutch! You’re truly a goat! I ended up doing it in 4 playthroughs,I did NG+ with the infinite rocket launcher to get ashley’s armor for my s+ run. Keep up the great content man! Your guides are easy to follow and help everyone!
Thanks Optinoob!!! I just got the final trophies needed for the platinum thanks to your guide was very easy to follow. (Execpt some of the village stuff mainly the demon dog merchant request knife only, I died twice cuz he moved and would get un stun locked so I had to just use some shotty on him) I finished with 4:42:22 so plenty of time to spare which was a relief. Overall great guide and using the strategies on the bosses made this so much easier than I originally though it would be. Still some parts are difficult and require maybe a few attempts before u can get the idea of how to quickly get to the next save. TYYYY
i don't think I've had this much rage in my entire life. I wouldn't even wish this upon my worst enemies 💔 these were the worst 5 days of my life but if I did it then so can everyone else! this guide was insanely helpful and just like I said in another comment, seeing the stats were helpful and felt more doable to do! I followed some saves, but here are my saves for the struggling homies out there bc my god was I S T R U G G L I N G. just reminder my saves are probably not the best compared to the videos but if anyone is struggling too don't be afraid to mess around with the saving! I had 14 saves in total and finished in 4:12:24 Save 1 in Chapter 2: 22:30 Save 2 in Chapter 3: 41:30 Save 3 in Chapter 4: 1:06:30 Save 4 in Chapter 5: I knew myself and that I would die instantly trying to get to the house with luis, so I saved right in the beginning of chapter 5. ( 1:12:26 ) Save 5 in Chapter 6: Once again, I did NOT want to risk it so I saved after the house fight with luis. I saved at the merchant rather than the end chapter section. I was not about to 2v1 those bella sisters and survive so I chose to save. Pretty sure I did die so im happy I did save LOL. ( 1:31:14 ) Save 6 in Chapter 7: 1:48:00 Save 7 in Chapter 8: I actually took someone's advice in the comment section, I found that I didn't struggle as much in this section but I died in another part and was sent back here, better than being sent all the way into the beginning. The optional save timestamp was 2:12:40 ! Save 8 in Chapter 9: Alright I recommend you not doing this because oh boy was this save probably a really regretful save. I saved INSTANTLY once I got into the ballroom because your boy was NOT about to risk it 2.0 and I found myself blasting through everything and then I died and had to redo everything but in the end I managed to get to my baby luis🥰 ( 2:34:11 ) Save 9 in Chapter 10: Alright, this was another messed up save but I'm so glad I did save because i got BLOWN UP !!! and i would have had to redo the whole ballroom. Now this was my downfall saving that early on in some ways too because Krauser is a BITCH but i would still kiss him if I could 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏‼‼‼‼‼ ( 3:12:11 ) Save 10 in Chapter 10: 😒😒 so yk how i said krauser was a bitch, i ended up saving b4 luis (rip) died to krauser bc homie krauser was too brutal for me !!! but tbh I think I die so much to krauser because mans got me kicking my feet and twirling my hair and i get distracted by him ☹capcom shouldn't have made him hot. but i found it much easier to BLAST through once I saved there ( 3:30:19 ) Save 11 in Chapter 14: Woah, we JUMPED saves I know I know. Imma be honest bc of how badly my saves were spaced out I had to go through it with no complaints bc I was not about to mess up professional mode or I would just give up on platniuming the game and getting those damn cat ears. I saved right after you free ashley after fighting them ugly regenerators ( 4:10:19 ) Save 12 in Chapter 14: This is b4 the second Krauser fight, don't forget to snatch that lil beetle guy bc if you eat it your lil health bar will get bigger and you'll be able to have more health. Once again capcom should have NOT made Krauser so hot but I surprisingly did not die once! Was def on the verge though. This was from the video as well :) ( 4:29:15) Save 13 in Chapter 15: After being stuck on chapter 10 for so long I am literally so happy to be here. See I HATE this section of the island up until you get to Ashley. I actually for real think this is the first worst section of the game for me, any section with them bugs follow second. I saved before Mike the homie shows up 🥰 I ALSO, bought a rocket launcher here bc fuck going all the way upstairs this is quicker. More money yes, but ykw I had the money to spare. ( 4:35:31 ) Save 14 in Chapter 16: Literally just before you get on the motorbike I cannot drive to save my life
This is a superb guide. I already got my cat ears but I wish I had used your strats as it would have been less of a chore! The first chapters are the hardest to do quickly so your savage mutt, gigante and cabin sections were especially useful and brilliant
Awesome video and I finally got my S+:) I was juggling about 4 other guides but none were really doing it for me, all played on PC as well. Since I’m on console and aiming is more difficult I couldn’t keep up with them. Made it at 5:17:00 :) not the fastest and I think a lost some time reloading the auto save at the start instead of quitting to the menu, the village gave me trouble. Glad I did it, used the sweeper and got the ticket after the medallions at the castle. I used your guide for the island and it only took an hour as I ran through skipping most pickups. I’m just glad I didn’t cave in to buy the dlc tickets, very happy not to have done that! Great guide, will follow from the beginning for the no bonus weapon pro run so I can get the final challenge done and unlock the rest of the gallery items.
This isnt No Bonus Weapons mate, it is up to Chapter 7 (except for primal knife), but then on Chapter 7 we buy infinite ammo for the handcannon. You can unlock Handcannon in Mercs. I was saying to somebody else, speedrunner strats look good, but they are not accessible and require practice. So although they do it quick, you can spend a lot longer doing it yourself as you need to develop the skill, which they already have done so off screen. Plus the advantage of M&K as you say. Its why I try to go for low skill strategies, require less practice then and although the strategy is physically longer, the true time is actually shorter as it requires less time to master!!! All in the details ;)
@@Optinooby thanks for the clarification and agreed, many of the other guys are pc speed runner strats and they don’t really work when following. I failed many times on my S+ trying to copy this on console. Glad you managed to get your guide up, best there is. A couple did work but it’s much harder. I used your RE2 vids for S+ last year, top tier.
That bit on ch.14 where Ashley has to hold down the bridge gave me PTSD. To improve my odds, use the stingray rifle, increase power and fire rate as much as possible. Headshot enemies immediately as they spawn after turning on the power before going back to Ashley or you will trigger the regenerator. After that, run back to Ashley, toss a flashbang before crossing the bridge to prevent another enemy from grabing her, which gives you time to cross it and droping the regenerator afterwards. Oh, if you aim with the high power scope, makes it easier to aim, especially with the controller.
The biggest advice I’d give to anyone who hasn’t done this is that a sub 5 1/2 hr pro run is very doable, don’t worry about finishing it in the time but rather make use of only 15 saves. If you worry about time, it’s easy to try to rush though areas and accidentally die which can potentially set you back several chapters. Everyone is going to have parts of the game that they think are easier/harder than others so if you have to save at different parts to compensate for what you have trouble with is fine. For example, Del Lago has never given me a shred of difficulty but the mine cart section always infuriates me lol. That was what ended up making the back part of my run stressful was saves, not time. Edit: plus, having at least the Ashley Armory and Chicago Sweeper will save a bunch of time.
I got my cat ears thanks to this guide of yours mate! You made everything so easy especially the areas where i was struggling for months! Village fight, el gigante, savage mutt, cabin fight, chainsaw sisters, mendez fight, double gigantes, and krauser. You gained a liked and sub from me! Thank u very much for this beast of a guide. I tried other videos out there but none of them worked for me cuz i cant even get past the cabin fight
at this point I'm up to 2:31:13 and you are in the maze, OMG I'm enjoying it so much, when you said "that dog" and the jumping into the arms, I just lost it, I burst out laughing and I still have wet eyes trying to write this, showing us what NOT to do is pretty much how I play normal. jokes aside it is a very helpful guide and cannot wait to try your ideas when I get home, well done.
@@Optinooby This is the first of your uploads I’ve seen mate. Just to make sure, I can use the CSweeper, Ashley’s armour and the PKnife to get an S+ on pro? I’ve just reached the farm… you make it look easy but I’m struggling. I’ll get there in the end though. Gulp. 😬
@@Optinooby I’ve got another question if you don’t mind…. You know the regenerator terminal puzzles, what is the logic behind them? Haven’t been able to get an answer from anyone about those. I actually looked them up on UA-cam as I can’t figure out how they work. 🫡
What I do now is go straight to the cannon, then shoot the weight from the top. Then kill anybody that has appeared along with the remaining catapults as the cannon can destroy those. Then shoot the door as that spawns 2 more enemies. Kill those and then loot the area!! I like it this way as it kills all the enemies earlier as well as the catapults and u dont have to run back up to the cannon ;)
@@Optinooby oh rite I'll try that next time just got to those bloody bugs section in the castle following along your guide I've some how managed to be six minutes behind your time hopefully should still be able to do it especially since you have half an hour to spare at the end, also was thinking of getting star wars Jedi survivor would love to follow one of your guides if you decide to get it us Brits have to stick together 😂
I find this video the best one out of many guides I watched before starting my run! I literally just have to watch the vid and listen because all the questions in my head are answered by your explanations. Although I only needed help in the village (because I am using CS unli bullets), I still watched the whole 5 hours because you give infos here and there. I just finished my run and I cannot thank you enough for the guide esp in the farm, fish farm, quarry, how to fight El Gigante and sisters using Flashbangs, and Cabin. One thing though you had way too many pesetas than me and idk why, I was only able to have my shotgun lvl5 firepower, lvl2 reload, and lvl3 rate of fire. And that is even after I sold my dlc guns and using the gold dlc inventory case. Maybe rng or maybe I bought some trash but nevertheless your guide did really help me. I was so tempted to buy the dlc weapon upgrade bec I had a hard time in the Cabin on my Hardcore S+ run.
Also, the mine cart above which has barrels can be shot but has no effect on enemy spawns after. And you can also just shot once the chainsaw man riding the cart to stagger him whenever he raises the chainsaw to attack you.
Got my cat ears - and I didn’t rage as hard as I normally would have thanks to your guide! Much love and gratitude from across the pond. PS - I think the Benny Hill theme playing in the background while you’re running from the villagers in Chapter 1 would be hilarious 😅
Btw your canyon guide is bar far the best out there. Not only is it fast, it’s so much better than Carcinogen’s “no damage guide”… where he just hides in the house :/
Im just trying to be helpful mate, im no Pro just like to make clean easy to master strategies. You have probably realised by now that speedrunners dont always equal the best strategies from an accessibility perspective. Same with any1 really, its why I always watch or read anything with an open mind and always have to try my own way My Giant strategy is maybe the best out there as well, every1 else seems to be using the Sniper and its very hard. The shotgun and flash is mega easy to do and fast
@@Optinooby for sure. Great strat. What is your opinion on the DLC weapon the skull shaker ? Would you use it if it was main base game ? Instead of the rest I mean
I am almost done with castle. This guide rocks. I used the hand cannon with the exclusive ticket early but other than that I am following everything. I died 6 times in a row on the stupid Del Lago boss trying to dodge different directions. Seventh time I literally just held right the entire time and I no damaged it.
After watching so many guides, leave it to you to find much better techniques, with totally different paths and enemy spawn knowledge than every other creator. Nice job! (Ross B)
I thought most would be similar to mine as I cant really think of a better way. Perhaps most are just using speedrunner strategies. Problem with those is that they are not accessible, its why I always figure out my own stuff ;)
@@Optinooby yeah a lot are similar. But things like the shotgun upgrading and El Gigante fight, for example, would have helped me so much back when I played my Professional run. You always find a different spin on each section.
Oh yea the El Gigante, I was trying the Rifle method and was thinking this is bonkers, its going to take players ages to get this down as it took me a good few hours. So then on the cabin, I know its a pain in the ass so I was planning to see if its possible to fully upgrade the shotgun by that point. From dynamite valley, I knew that if the shotgun is upgraded enough, that it can one hit enemies. So I got to the cabin, had to rework a few thing for money but eventually managed to get enough. And then found the cabin so easy with a fully upgraded shotgun, couldnt believe it actually as hadnt heard about it anywhere else. So i then backed up and tried to apply the shotgun to the El Gigante just to find out it makes him mega easy too as long as you plan for it with the flashes and ammo!! I have a few strategies for the Bella Sisters and Mendez, but the strats here are what made the cut for this particular route. If i was doing a no bonus weapons though, everything would be the same till after the cabin, but i would then use the bolt thrower for the Bella Sisters and Mendez. Only that way requires preparation early as you would need 16 ammo. Glad you liked some of them, that El Gigante is a good strategy I feel, very little practice required
@@Optinooby Your guide is really great and repeatable for beginners. I followed all the way till El Gigante fight, and realized that I made mistake by saving the dog earlier at Chapter 3 which you didn't do in you video (wish you mentioned that in your video for beginners) and the dog's involvement messed up the fight. I still managed to kill El Gigante with dog's involvement after a few tries and practice. But could be much simple, easy and fast without dog's involvement.
I was dumb and decided I wanted to try knocking out 2 of the hard challenges at the same time. S+ rank on professional and completing professional with no bonus weapons... Chapter 15 probably took me longer than the rest of the game (I kept quitting when I died that way the timer reset to where it was). But I was out of saves so I had to play the last 2 chapters in one go. Getting through all those enemies in Chapter 15 was awful. Died so many times. But your strategy with the flashbacks was a life saver. Still took me several tries. But eventually I got it. Didn't think I was going to make the 5.5 hour time but I did with 2.5 minutes to spare!!! Finally lol
Sweet. :D optinoob to the rescue! Professional and hardcore s+ is my last trophies/challenges.. I will definitely use this when going for professional.
Nice guide, some new info from you I've not heard from others like how to do dynamite village. Quick tip at 33:50 if you snipe the guy at top right the wolves will not spawn, he calls them you see.
All 'Easy' Guides should be doing Dynamite Valley that way!! Good to know, you know i've actually thought about killing him to see if it affects anything, good to know it does ;)
Thanks to your guide i made it (with 20min left^^). Now i only need Knife/Pistol-Run, No Healing and No Talking to the merchant - that will be a walk in the park. Some feedback: An overview when and on which chapter you do a save would have been nice to know. In general this guide is almost perfect imo. Thank you again :)
Excellent video fella, ive been trying to find a playthrough guide that shows each chapter time so i can tell if im on track or not, yours showed this right at the start, cheers fella👍
i have been watching 3 different guides and choosing whatever works with my playstyle, one of the guides being this one of course, and I have to say your guide on getting those stealth kills in the village is so so soo helpful. most guides just tell you to run past enemies but ashley can get grabbed (multiple times in a short time frame!!) and then things get messy. your guide is the most consistent one imo. unfortunately i havent unlocked the headcannon so i wont be able to follow some of the things, but your guide is still very useful in general - i never knew bringing up the canon would spawn 6 more enemies and most guides just tell you to shoot the weight when youre going upstairs. very considerate very informative thank you
i have a no bonuses pro guide btw where i dont use the handcannon!! The cannon part is because every1 by just copies speedrunners who are all about speed. If those that copied speedrunners tested a few things themselves, they would find out that its the cannon spawns more enemies! Unfortunately a lot of strats are copied this way. But fastest doesnt always mean easiest or more consistent
@@jody4210 Yea just check out the playlist linked in the description!! A few strategies have changed of course due to no handcannon, some are similar still but more refined. One thing though is for the armored knight section when getting the gold wine bottle, if you take the silver wine bottle back before you approach the gold, so that the gate closes behind you, apparently less archers spawn

Just completed this thanks to your guide! This is where I saved, hopefully this can help someone
Save 1 - 22:30
Save 2 - 41:30
Save 3 - 1:06:30
Save 4 - 1:26:00
Save 5 - 1:48:00
Optional Save 1 - 2:12:40 (I saved here because the next room kept giving me trouble)
Save 6 - 2:46:20
Optional Save 2 - 3:14:30 (I wasn't sure how difficult the next room would be and I did not want to have to replay the ballroom and Garradors so I decided not to risk it.)
Save 7 - 3:20:30
Save 8 - 3:43:25
Optional Save 3 - 4:11:10 (I know I have trouble with the upcoming area based on previous runs)
Save 9 - 4:29:15
Optional Save 4 - 4:36:00 (This is kind of a random save but I hate the Krauser fight and I know how difficult the upcoming area can be and the game is almost over so I used one of my three remaining saves here)
Final Save! - 4:56:00
Thank you for this advice, I followed it myself and it really helped as I think I struggled at all the same spots you mention!
I'm blown away by the strats here. Deep knowledge of the game and very helpful for newbies who are struggling!
Finaly, the Godfather of the RE4 Guides 🎉🎉🎉
I have to say, I usually NEVER comment on videos, but I followed your guide basically step for step and I got my cat ears FINALLY! You were very confident about the timing, and you really didn’t rush at all and made professional seem like a challenge instead of an impossible nightmare. Thanks so much for the video dude, it was EXCELLENT 👌🏼
Glad you commented Stephen. Yes this guy produces great content and is obviously dedicated. I love the occasional humour too
I just finished my Professional run in 4 hours and 53 minutes!
Five hours, twenty five minutes and fifteen saves.
Thank you friend, without you I wouldn´t never made It.
Dang, the chapter one is so cancer. Once I had a chicken attacking me from behind and a cow deciding it wanted to mow me down for no reason
😂😂
😂
🤣🤣omfg
I’m late to this game, but I have to thank you so much for this guide. Not only did it get me my professional s+ but a sleep-deprived me was in stitches about your horrible RNG in the maze, the lithographic puzzle, and the “holy halo handle.” “THAT DOG!” Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this guide just finished it with a time of 5 hours fifteen minutes tried at least 6 times before this one with various guides but failed every time but with guide I've finally done it 👍
Absolute unit as always. Best guides on UA-cam, hands down!
Straight up your guides are one of the if not the best on here, I remember using your guide for salt and sanctuary as well, you explain everything you need to without any other time wasting rubbish. The perfect guide thanks mate👍
Starts that you used that are epic :
Going from church to gigante, the part where you wait 2 seconds before jumping, saved a shot: damage and it stops the 2 guys spawning.
Also love how the gigante strat also goes hand in hand with cabin strat with maxed out shotgun.
And your strat to stealth kill everyone before savage mutt is great.
I also knifed the mutt , just didn’t expect it to work on professional 😆
ive changed it up a little for my no bonuses run, though El Gigante and the cabin remain the same
I was waiting for this guide to appear, you are the reason why I was able to platinum RE7 & RE8. Thank you so much!
dude you’ve been helping me complete all the RE games and you have no idea how much of a lifesaver you’ve been.
I've only watched up to Dynamite Valley so far, but this is the first guide that makes me want to actually go for the S+.
Great guide as ever. Bizarrely the hardest part of this run for me was the damn del lago. I didn't save at the fish village and saved just before that boss and glad I did because he killed me a dozen times. Seems much harder on professional even though I've read that enemy health isn't actually increased on professional...
holy moly that truly is a dedicated guide, even after I platinum'd the game, there are several skips that I learnt while watching this
Im routing No Bonuses atm mate so hopefully I can get some nice strats from Ch7 onwards without infinite handcannon.
My Ch1-7 has changed a little as well
This is HD, just please give it time to process the HD version ;)
GOAT ❤
Speaking of being overpowered I really miss the PRL 412 laser in this game. F
@@chadwickporter9662 yeah they cut alot out of this one who would have thought now the town before the mine cart section is just a house in the middle of it and certain death scenes are cut like getting grabbed in the molting lava room you can't get grabbed no more from the el gigante certain death animations are censored
Only watched 4 minutes so far... Can already tell this is my s+ pro guide when I need it. Thank you for making this mate, absolute star 🌟
I was anticipating this 🎉 Ready to give pro a go with this guide, couldn’t have gotten my other resident evil plats without you 😁
I’ve watched a few guides for s+ and this is by far the best for casual players.
3:25:38 I did manage to blow up that barrel once, but as far as I can tell it did not altered the carts you fight later. Great RE guide as always.
That will severely break the chainsaw guy’s cart. A few more hits and you only need to focus on the archers
I never usually leave comments, but I wanted to leave you one given how helpful this guide was. I managed mine in 04:38:18 which helped me bag the PS5 platinum trophy. Thanks so much for this guide, it was a joy to follow along with you!
Pleasure was all mine mate ;)
Cant wait to buy re4 and platinum it using your guides!
Once again you carried me through abosolute headache. Finished in 5:00. I cannot stress enough how great these guides are.
I have a No Bonuses as well mate btw ;), slightly different strategies
@@Optinooby I have that saved, will definitely check that out! Thank you
The GOAT! Thank you so much for posting!eta: also glad that we FINALLY have a guide for console users. This game is a different (harder) beast on console! Eta: you’ve got some clankers for doing this without Ashley’s armor!
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
❤❤❤
I commented almost 2 days ago that im on my run following your guide for my Last Hardcore S+ trophy.
And..
I got my PLATINUM FOR RE4 REMAKE❤❤❤❤
I Watched your guides to help me with the treasures as well, you helped me unlocked more then 80% of the trophies, lol
You helped me got the hardest trophies for re2 remake as well just need to finish the 4th survivor for re2 Platinum.
I tried following someone else guide but i couldn't manage to clear chapter 1 lol,
Idk why but EVERY TIME YOUR GUIDES ALWAYSSSSS WORKS FOR ME LIKE ALWAYS!!!!! Never once I've returned from your channel without getting helped!! Like im so grateful to you for such an amazing guide!! You deserve million followers seriously!!!
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you❤❤❤
Well done and thank you ;)
This is the LAST trophy that I need to get my platinum, and with this guide, I shall give it ONE LAST SHOT, and youll have my support for life if I pull this off..........wish me luck lads and lasses
Also, the flashbang and knife strat on things like piggies and the bella sisters is easier for someone as crap as me,
Most amazing guide! Followed as best I could and ended with a time of 5 hrs 5 mins. Thanks Optinoob!!
Though as u see, didnt have to in the end ;)
got the plat. thanks opti
i like this pkaythrough more because it didnt include the extra treasures lol
also guys. remember we have 5 extra saves so make use of it. i recommend saving just before the doggo part in ch9, sewer area with one spiky regen (forgot which ch) and ch14 where you're going yolo with flashbag to get to the switches and door. oh and maybe b4 the cabin part.
my final time was at 5:18 😅
You are the man! I’m ready to jump back into this now. Thanks.
with this guide along with chicago sweeper, and 10 gold tickents to sell was able to S+ it. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Chapter 15 almost beat me down, but i couldnt have gotten this without this guide. Thank you!
Managed to get my professional S+ using your guide. Thank you 🙏🏼
Redfall is disappointed me! I’m going bck to RE4 where I know I’ll not be disappointed in!! Thanks for this guide btw!
Finally achieved my S+ today thanks to this guide. Took me many goes 😂 eventually got there at 5hr 25. Thanks for the video and the effort 👍
My experience was similar to yours and also finished with only a handful of minutes left. Did everything He did, just less quick and smooth I guess.
It was tough but I just finished my run with a time of 4:19:38. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without the RE guide GOAT
Oh snap! Been waiting for this! Appreciate the videos man!
thank you for your guides, i can complete my own s+ pro. now im having so much fun with infinite ammo.
Thanks for this guide, I managed to finish with less than a minute left, so those Flash bangs really, really helped. Managed to get past everything post-krauser by just spamming a metric shit ton of Flash bangs
Flash to win!!
TYYYY
Optinoob is on another level when it comes to gaming, so good!
i don't think I've had this much rage in my entire life. I had 14 saves in total and finished in 4:12:24
Save 1 in Chapter 2: 22:30
Save 2 in Chapter 3: 41:30
Save 3 in Chapter 4: 1:06:30
Save 4 in Chapter 5: I knew myself and that I would die instantly trying to get to the house with luis, so I saved right in the beginning of chapter 5. ( 1:12:26 )
Save 5 in Chapter 6: Once again, I did NOT want to risk it so I saved after the house fight with luis. I saved at the merchant rather than the end chapter section. I was not about to 2v1 those bella sisters and survive so I chose to save. Pretty sure I did die so im happy I did save LOL. ( 1:31:14 )
Save 6 in Chapter 7: 1:48:00
Save 7 in Chapter 8: I actually took someone's advice in the comment section, I found that I didn't struggle as much in this section but I died in another part and was sent back here, better than being sent all the way into the beginning. The optional save timestamp was 2:12:40 !
Save 8 in Chapter 9: Alright I recommend you not doing this because oh boy was this save probably a really regretful save. I saved INSTANTLY once I got into the ballroom because your boy was NOT about to risk it 2.0 and I found myself blasting through everything and then I died and had to redo everything but in the end I managed to get to my baby luis🥰 ( 2:34:11 )
Save 9 in Chapter 10: Alright, this was another messed up save but I'm so glad I did save because i got BLOWN UP !!! and i would have had to redo the whole ballroom. Now this was my downfall saving that early on in some ways too because Krauser is a BITCH but i would still kiss him if I could 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏‼‼‼‼‼ ( 3:12:11 )
Save 10 in Chapter 10: 😒😒 so yk how i said krauser was a bitch, i ended up saving b4 luis (rip) died to krauser bc homie krauser was too brutal for me !!! but tbh I think I die so much to krauser because mans got me kicking my feet and twirling my hair and i get distracted by him ☹capcom shouldn't have made him hot. but i found it much easier to BLAST through once I saved there ( 3:30:19 )
Save 11 in Chapter 14: Woah, we JUMPED saves I know I know. Imma be honest bc of how badly my saves were spaced out I had to go through it with no complaints bc I was not about to mess up professional mode or I would just give up on platniuming the game and getting those damn cat ears. I saved right after you free ashley after fighting them ugly regenerators ( 4:10:19 )
Save 12 in Chapter 14: This is b4 the second Krauser fight, don't forget to snatch that lil beetle guy bc if you eat it your lil health bar will get bigger and you'll be able to have more health. Once again capcom should have NOT made Krauser so hot but I surprisingly did not die once! Was def on the verge though. This was from the video as well :) ( 4:29:15)
Save 13 in Chapter 15: After being stuck on chapter 10 for so long I am literally so happy to be here. ( 4:35:31 )
Save 14 in Chapter 16: Literally just before you get on the motorbike I cannot drive to save my life
Need only Hardcore S+ trophy for Platinum and here i am on my fav channel to get me started! Wish me Luck!!
Gopd Luck you ;)
Damn..... I wish I found this video earlier. I had my Cat Ears unlocked, the hard way, a much harder way. Your method is way simpler and easier.
I used your RE2 vids for S+ last year, top tier.
im working on No Bonuses No Accessories Pro at the mo, wasn't going to be bother but these Pro vids are quite in demand
I've already Platinum'd, but I'm leaving a like for your guides anyways. I know it will be excellent.
Best channel on UA-cam hands down
The biggest advice I’d give to anyone who hasn’t done this is that a sub 5 1/2 hr pro run is very doable, don’t worry about finishing it in the time but rather make use of only 15 saves.
This walkthrough was so helpful. Thank you for making it, just like your other RE walkthroughs.
Thanks for the S+ @Optinoob continue the good work!!! Perfect guide!
I just got platinum thanks to your guide.
Huge thanks man,, these were 5 amazing hours :)
This is the best S+ guide I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot. Thanks.
better than my other no bonuses vid?
@@Optinooby
This is the first of your uploads I’ve seen mate. Just to make sure, I can use the CSweeper, Ashley’s armour and the PKnife to get an S+ on pro? I’ve just reached the farm… you make it look easy but I’m struggling. I’ll get there in the end though. Gulp. 😬
@@Optinooby
I’ve got another question if you don’t mind…. You know the regenerator terminal puzzles, what is the logic behind them? Haven’t been able to get an answer from anyone about those. I actually looked them up on UA-cam as I can’t figure out how they work. 🫡
@@JAY1892 yea i think so
Learnt so much from your amazing guide ive always shot the weight to the cannon on the way up the stairs but now ill wait till ive done the area
And you can also just shot once the chainsaw man riding the cart to stagger him whenever he raises the chainsaw to attack you.
the explosive barrel in the minecart damages the chainsaw dude apparently.
i know u can stagger him, i just like to obliterate his cart xD
Got my cat ears - and I didn’t rage as hard as I normally would have thanks to your guide! Much love and gratitude from across the pond. PS - I think the Benny Hill theme playing in the background while you’re running from the villagers in Chapter 1 would be hilarious 😅
I'm definitely using this guide. This is the best one I seen.
Same with any1 really, its why I always watch or read anything with an open mind and always have to try my own way
My Giant strategy is maybe the best out there as well, every1 else seems to be using the Sniper and its very hard. The shotgun and flash is mega easy to do and fast
@@Optinooby for sure. Great strat.
What is your opinion on the DLC weapon the skull shaker ? Would you use it if it was main base game ? Instead of the rest I mean
Dont have 1 mate, I havent really used it. I dont usually use DLC stuff as not every1 has it so i dont like to get dependant on them
I am almost done with castle. This guide rocks. I used the hand cannon with the exclusive ticket early but other than that I am following everything. I died 6 times in a row on the stupid Del Lago boss trying to dodge different directions. Seventh time I literally just held right the entire time and I no damaged it.
Really want to get as much as possible out of RE4 , really enjoyed my first play through. Gonna give this guide a try !
Most underrated S+ guide ever
id like to say that would actually be my No Bonuses video ;)
Great video and great tactics. Just finished it and now it's time for the pistol knife only.
i think i need therapy after this, glad its finally over 😂 finished at 5hr5mins, god bless you for this goated guide 💪
You truly are the master of resident evil platinum walkthroughs! Wish i had this wen I did my Cat ears run!
@@Optinooby the village stealth kills in the return to the original village in Chapter 5 before the savage mutt is also amazing!
But could be much simple, easy and fast without dog's involvement.
this guide deserve millions like ❤
I was dumb and decided I wanted to try knocking out 2 of the hard challenges at the same time. Finally lol
I have a Pro guide without bonuses by the way ;)
Sweet. :D
optinoob to the rescue!
Professional and hardcore s+ is my last trophies/challenges..
I will definitely use this when going for professional.
I didnt know you could wait out the timer in the chainsaw village, great tip!
Nice guide, some new info from you I've not heard from others like how to do dynamite village.
Quick tip at 33:50 if you snipe the guy at top right the wolves will not spawn, he calls them you see.
All 'Easy' Guides should be doing Dynamite Valley that way!!
Good to know, you know i've actually thought about killing him to see if it affects anything, good to know it does ;)
Time to Platinum this game. Thank you 😊 i know the effort you put into this, much appreciated 😍
My No Bonuses version refines a few strategies
my boss. great to see you are back. looking forward to another great video.
I just KNOW you’re gonna make this look easy af
Wow, you make this look easy. I've died so many times trying lol.
Awesome i used your guides for re village mercenaries but for this i just got the S+ on my own 😅
Can't believe they broke the bloody bell the two garodors 😂 thank god for your flash bangs tip saved my arse
You need a good stock of flashes for that room otherwise it gets nuts
Thank you so much for this guide!! It helps me get my own cat ears! Definitely subbing 😊
Excellent video fella, ive been trying to find a playthrough guide that shows each chapter time so i can tell if im on track or not, yours showed this right at the start, cheers fella👍
Honestly felt I didnt have a choice ;)
The master is back everyone 🎉
You sir, are a God, I was a terrible player but after watching this, I'm still a terrible player with an s+... and cat ears
Woah at 11:12 Leon parried the hatchet with his foot, neat!
Makes a change from me using my face most the time
i have been watching 3 different guides and choosing whatever works with my playstyle, one of the guides being this one of course, and I have to say your guide on getting those stealth kills in the village is so so soo helpful. most guides just tell you to run past enemies but ashley can get grabbed (multiple times in a short time frame!!) and then things get messy. your guide is the most consistent one imo. unfortunately i havent unlocked the headcannon so i wont be able to follow some of the things, but your guide is still very useful in general - i never knew bringing up the canon would spawn 6 more enemies and most guides just tell you to shoot the weight when youre going upstairs. very considerate very informative thank you
i have a no bonuses pro guide btw where i dont use the handcannon!!
@@Optinooby oh really?! thank you!!
@@Optinooby thank you so much im literally watching it rn lol
