I’ve just stumbled across your channel and it’s really nice to find someone going through everything I am at the moment as my baby boy is turning 9 weeks tomorrow. He was such a smilar name your your little man aswell because mine little one is called Lucas. I hope you all the best with breast feeding. I’ve had problems with latching and I’ve found using nipple shield really helpful just to start him off and after half a feed I take it off just so he gets a bit more used to latching

Hey Meg, you’ve mentioned that you wash the bottles for 2 hours a day. Use the Milton tablets in a big pot and keep the bottles in there as they can be kept in the sterilising water for I think 24 hours? So all you’ll have to do is rinse the milk bottles out and stick them back in the sterilising solution& then you just refresh the water at the same time every day.. if that all makes sense! It’ll save you a lot of time!

A newborn is really difficult stage, please don't put yourself under so much pressure. A fed baby is best and it doesn't matter if its breast milk or formula.

Going by ml for kendamil doesn’t seem to make much difference at first but as baby takes more, the difference on a MAM bottle comparing mls to oz is quite a big difference! I wish I had some advice for expressing but I’m totally clueless as a formula feeding mum. I did used to be a part of an exclusively pumping UK fb group when we were considering breastfeeding. I wonder if they could help? 🩷
I just wanna say you’re doing an amazing job. Babies and being a mum doesn’t come with a manual! People are quick to say that the newborn stage is the easiest but with both of my children that wasn’t the case at all. I miss my teeny tiny babies but I do not miss those early months. It all felt much easier as time went on xx

Thank you!! Yes that group has been a massive help 💗
I agree with you it seems to get easier each day! I think a lot of newborns tend to sleep all the time which is maybe why people find that stage easier? Xx

PUMP MORE TO INCREASE YOUR SUPPLY AND CONTINUE TO EAT A NICE PORRIDGE BREAKFAST !! I pumped every couple hours and got my supply up then I was able to hold it for more hours and get more milk just becareful you don’t miss a pump session the less you pump the less milk your body makes no matter how much water you drink babe
    I’m pregnant
With baby number 2 pumped with my son and will breast and pump with me daughter so me
And daddy can both feed her ! Hope this helps !

I know babe it does seem long but it’s worth it honestly it works if you just do it for a couple weeks babe your supply will be up and you can freeze what you don’t use now and have pre made bottles for future but formula is fine I ended with hungry baby formula for my son because he just became so hungry by 8 months old and I was moving house so it just made sense by then im a stay at home mumma so I don’t have nothing else to do apart from look after my baby’s xx I also bought a pump that fits in my bra

@@MegLev_ also if you honestly think of it like this any spare minute you have pump even if it’s a ten min pump session believe me babe it helps your milk supply Every time you pump, how long it is it doesn’t matter It is still telling your body at that time milk needs to be made

I had to learn to relax and allow my milk to flow more freely. The milk’s up tea and water and great things to do! Sorry to hear you are struggling.
