The Dev's wanting to funnel solo content players into group play just to finish challenges in their solo play is stupid beyond belief. If max level delves require a certain ilvl, then that ilvl should be attainable through delves. If you're too scared to offer the gear necessary to do that, then you need to nerf delves to where that's feasible. Of course the obvious answer is right in front of them, which is to buff delve loot beyond +8 difficulty, and nerf Mythic difficulty so they don't feel like they're being cheated by not doing delves. They're failing to meet in the middle and that just causes grumbling from everyone.
They should double down and make the gear uniquely suited for delves. They play different than raids/mythic so why not. WoW is already many games within one, especially since the just dropped whole pokemon thing in there lol xD
IT's not the swirlys that are the problem. Its having green swirlys on green grass (Fungle Folly) and purple swirlys on a purple floor (Nerub-ar Palace)
that is part of it for sure. but having inconsistency in being in or out of the swirly. and having every encounter being swirly Heking thing sucks. it isn't "fun" not everyone enjoys Bullet hecking type game style constant move move move game play is not for every one.
Or hidden under textures/vegetation so you can't see them. Or distorted because of strange terrain interactions(i.e. stairs, ramps, ect..) Couldn't tell you how many times I couldn't see the area for a mobs one-shot in a Delve and lost a life to it.
The chef can horribly undercook my steak too and say we can just throw it back on the grille for a couple minutes, but I still think the chef who cannot cook a streak is incompetent.
pls remove the cap of valorstones and remove the requirement of 250 per spark, honestly for most of the people doing 8+ valorstones are lacking like hell, everything ask way too much, but you can't be saving them from the beginning because there is the stupid cap of 2k making you have to use it on stupid veteran gear or sometimes even champion when you want to save it, why put a cap if you there is no weekly cap?.
I agree, we need a whole expansion underwater! Vash'jir is still one of the most beautiful zones ever created. I just got to visit it again now for the secrets event and man, i miss when wow did look like that!
I do wish they'd kept Shadow and Void as seperate things, Shadow being that which may originate from the Void but composes and harmonizes with the other elements as part of creation (The Night Elves are innately attuned to it, IE Shadowmeld, Night Warrior, etc), and Void being that which wants to consume and destroy. Maybe we can still have that, as Chronicles is just the titans view of the world.
@@MrHuntervad not necessarily. Shadow magic is a separate thing from void magic, as in that it doesnt seem to be a “hungry” magic. Theres a treasure in hallowfall that opens a portal to the “shadow realm” that brings forth shadow “elementals” and they do not seem the same at all to anything related to the void. Like, rogues and DKs use shadow magic but are not plagued with void whispers or void insanity

I wish they would allow excess currency to be a token in your bags until you spend the other instead of losing that currency when you can't collect it.

They have a system that isn't pairing well with many players and instead of acknowledging it and adjusting it, they pat themselves on the back and turn their nose up at the problem. It gets annoying because it is always just riiiiight there on the edge of a great system design but they just slam on the brakes.
I remember trying Wildstar, and being very happy that I could see exactly where the mobs' attacks were landing. I doubt it's difficult to create in WoW.
Thank you very much for making the point about Delves in your video. I think Blizzard is missing the point and views your video to get the point. There are people who don’t want to do M+, but feel forced to do to keep progressing their character. Especially once you reach ilvl 603-610. But to be honest I think they were shocked about how many people left M+ to do Delves and weren’t planning on coming back. They want to force people back.
Most of the people who were playing M+ still play them, especially people who were doing higher keys. Delves are ultra casual and are best played solo.. so yeah.
@ianwestc umm... Yeah. That's why they need to keep it in check where they can. People just don't like hearing the word "nerf". Makes them think their fun is being targeted. I get that. But acting like the only way to balance a game is by buffing is just misinformed or preferential there is NO tangible benefit for the refusal to use nerfs when it comes to maintaining, or improving, game balance. My main just got nerfed and oh well. Spec is still fun to play and gets me through the content I enjoy. I don't really care if my numbers are a little lower. But I also don't tie my enjoyment of the game to numbers.
Thank you, you clearly get it about the delves to mythics+ transition. Mythics has proven to be the most toxic experience I have ever had and YES BLIZZARD please make delves 9+ drop better gear. I would rather crush those for hero gear.
You're completely right about the Delves needing to go higher or at least some sort of 'fun' solo content. I don't raid like I used to and I don't have a steady M+ team. A lot of people just don't have a lot of time to throw at LFG
Counter argument for the delves. People that like to do lower keys dont becouse it's just way to efficient to do delves. And when they are done with delve gearing they hop into mythic + at a 7 as that's where their gear is. If you make delve gear as high as 10s I wont be doing m+ u till have reached max level not becouse delves are more fun just more rewarding.
they know why its happening, because its by design. probably hoping people will tire of complaining eventually and they wont have to buff the reward structure. then people will be fine grinding their lives away in their little feeder box. consume product, await next product. the only issue is by that point, all the people passionate with the game will have grown apathetic and left for greener pastures.

8:20 is the Valor chest still locked behind M+ rating? Because that was a pretty dick move that ties in nicely with what you said about funneling Delve players into M+.
Delves should give the same rewards as mythic+. The only diff should be delves are for solos and mythic for teamwork. I hope they wont lower the rewards from delves because if they do that wiuld pretty much kill delves.
I enjoy doing delves with friends. I don't want to see them even think of making it solo only content. I won't touch M+, regardless of the gear attached.
The issue with taking on the transition between delves and mythic plus by making delves beyond + 8 give gear is that the that would then put pressure on players who mostly do stuff like heroic raids to do even more delves because "will I'm going to be getting better gear which I need to do the heroic raids and the mythic pluses that I already do" and then you have another piece of content that feels mandatory that's something that they're trying to avoid.
Hopefully next is N'Zoth. It and Azshara being bound to a single patch was ridiculous. Maybe this time N'Zoth will be in the ruins of Shattrath, the so called "Missing Raid" from WOD. Which we can explore with the help of Garona, whose lore if you read the books is tied to Shattrath.
@@ArcadeStunfisk Old Gods never truly die, and that's from Blizzard themselves. As far as we know the only way to get rid of them completely would be to destroy Azeroth itself, as they are tied to the planet. Short of that, there is always a way to resurrect them. When they "die" they just return to the void. All speculation of course, but it makes sense.
When plunderstorm came out, I wasn't really that into the game mode (I did warm to it a bit towards the end), but the pace you earned rewards at was SO bad that after a few matches I was like "Well they are clearly going to buff the rewards for this, I'll just come back later". Of course they did buff it to a much more reasonable place later on. It's kinda crazy that even before there was this big pattern of them starting out low and then buffing things, it was so bad that it was immediately obvious they were going to change it, like within an hour and a half or so.
The need to let Delves exist as it's own endgame pillar on par with the other pillars, rather than have it be a junior pillar like it is now. I do not enjoy Mythics, and there is nothing they can do to Delves that will change that -- but they can make Delves feel more rewarding than they currently do.
They just don't understand that Mythic+ sucks for most people, and without some kind of massive, fundamental change, that's not going to get any better.
So basically: The cosmology chart was based on the game but used as part of "training" for new designers, meaning the game ended up being based on the chart.
Mr gm showed the "itsy bitsy spider" achivement. Thats a overwatch character widowmaker. And i discoverd there's two achivements for finding and collecting lots of books. And another one thats get a stack of 100 of that "old god jiz" XD.
Ground swirlies are perilously close to the only mechanic in WoW. I don't really have a problem with that (though I'd love to see more creativity, don't ask me how) but a translucent wall projected upward from the zone of the mechanic would at least mean you would see them.
I have no idea why Blizz haven't figured out the simplest and most effective method of making rewards balanced. Like it's literally as simple as taking the generous and conservative values and then implementing the average/middle ground. The median way just works
Veteran gear... The only purpose those will have is Disenchant fodder. You basically start in champ gear as soon as you hit max level, and they think lfr level stuff thats warbound is gunna be worthwhile? Do they actually play the game they work on? Or do they just pvp then listen to the fans about pve?
@4:15 if they start with the rewards high and where they want them people will STILL complain that it is too slow and takes too long so they start with rewards being stingy as hell and then "buff" them later to where it is reasonable to appease the people who are going to boo hoo cry no matter what. It makes the cry babies feel like they won and that blizzard is listening.
Quick note about the chest you can buy with valor stones, you need a mythic rating of 1000. As someone who doesnt do mythic content, this is useless to me. I hope they change that.
M+ needs more rewards for pushing higher than 2000/2400. Take PVP for example, the further you push PVP rating you are rewarded with weapon illusions, etc. M+ which has more of a player base get a mount at 2k and the glow on the shoulders at 2400, then there isnt a reason to push.
Look at the raid, BRD now imagine a world where the reward was worth the difficulty. A mid content raid like BRD could’ve been awesome if the ranked rewards were three levels higher. I would like to see the content graph of players that actually did that raid on heroic to completion
I tried one delve and it felt so artificial, tye dwarf was telling to follow a rail car, then i have objetives on the side, then a bunch of appeared, then press a lever, same thing next stage... I was expecting go into this hole and discover by yourself whats inside and what to do, mobs already there and not spawning. It felt like blizzard was holding my hand
How the hell are people sitting on 2k valorstones so often? I'm finding so many things to spend them on. Gear for offspec, upgrading, etc...I'm the total opposite I'm always out of stones.
I'm sitting on 2k because I can't get enough crest's to properly upgrade my gear I'm at 615 item level but I can't get crest's because I can't do the content that rewards the crest's I need
eventually the problem inverts for most people, you go from being stone starved to crest starved. Ive capped out numerous times and just wasted them on minor upgrades just to prevent wasting newly acquired valorstones, even on offspec gear. you are probably not doing everything that rewards valorstones either.
I can’t speak for everyone, but for me the reason I’m constantly capped is because I never upgraded any of my vet/champ gear. I knew I had ways to get heroic gear, so I just saved them for upgrading heroic pieces… and now I’m crest-starved.
I think the number of swirlies is an issue, however, I think that the bigger issues affecting all forms of content are the imbalance when it comes to roles and their responsibilities and the sheer amount of burst damage present in all content.
Ye, with the lore and powers in the world, they forgot WoW was very ground to earth, corrupted by "aliens", but now we very much lack that down to earth battles, tho they try now with the current expansion But the world is being rulled by bigger power and we become bigger than space rullers really hurt the game.
Honestly less mythic plus push more delve push imo and stop nurfing my shaman dammit it's hard enough to solo things where I'm spending heals on myself more than dmg. When my prot warrior walks through delves solo like it's nothing...
while i dont NEED Delves to give out Mythic Gear, i wouldnt mind it. but in such case they should add more difficulties, so Mythic Gear isnt a +8 away.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind being able to get the best gear from delves, but it needs to have difficulty that reflects the level of reward. Getting Hero gear from every key and Myth every week from doing current level 8 delves would just invalidate every other kind of content by making gearing completely trivial

Delve gear shouldn't be above M1. T10 delves should equal M0. I never do mythic I've only done delves and I'm 616 with very little effort and I honestly shouldn't be
I swear to f-ck i do not want to be smashed into mythic because they nerf delve rewards. Why can't they just have parellel paths and give us harder delves? I just want gear that makes the grind a bit less deadly, I've had so much fun with delves and soloing or duoing 8s with my partner, i don't want to be forced to do group content just to make world content manageable. Arg!
I've stopped playing because I don't want to do mythic plus. I haven't stayed subscribed for an entire expansion since M+ has been the focus of endgame. I don't play wow when m+ is reguired to be competitive in raid. I geared with delves had a blast honestly, progressed through the raid killed the queen got a aotc. I would do mythic raid progress but we just don't have a consistent 20-man team right now. So I'm not playing well right now and I've done this for a long time mythic plus makes me leave the game I don't enjoy it and I don't enjoy being forced to do it.
That's nice. I am capped at valor stones and can't spend them but since I primarily do delves and not mythics I have no mythic+ rating so I can't gear my alts with my excess valor stones??
Currencies are still dumb. Pre-patch currencies have always been stupid - they should trade in for some post-patch currency somehow so they're not just taking up bag space and need to be thrown out.

I hate mythic+ I quit raiding since wrath because i dint have the time to run it 3-4 times to upgrade it gear once. Rather just run delves at stay at 3/6 hero gear. It's in me if I fail and I di t waste 30 min or more if the mythic plus fails.
They fixed the BFA meta one... how about they fix the stuff in Shadowlands... a lot of stuff is broken to the point its impossible to get like " Breaking the chains" achieve for the mount . they should fix the other time gated items like the abomination one in maldraxus and the fungus guy.. seems like too much for one achieve in the mass of the whole meta achieve.
Every time there is a reward grind it feels like Blizz extending sub times. Why get one month out of someone when they can get two or three. Them pretending it isnt is a joke after BFA longboi. It feels like they don't respect out time which is the only finite resource. That is the problem. Sure buff if we need to we only wasted a week of a million+ peoples lives. How many life times is that in one week jus thrown out because they couldn't be bothered to make an effort like we pay them to.
The Item Level bloat HAS to STOP. Mythic dungeon gear should cap at base level. Increasing the difficulty should reward either more loot drops, higher % chance for tert/ gem-slot procs, or a currency to outright buy the desired gear from some vendor. If more power is needed, let it come from interesting gear that interacts with the world in new & creative ways.
the bloat will never end, they will bloat and crunch until the end of time because they have programmed the playerbase to only see increases in power as viable rewards. its a blizzard created issue.

Player power should come from our character & playstyle; but... clearly my philosophy is a cypher. Were they to trim the gear bloat by capping everything at base, offer us the ability to reforge or to modify our gear with interesting or creative mods ( not unlike the Remix Gems, for instance ) I might make the game more fun, more accessible & over-all BETTER. I huess all they really want is a tiered Hear-Carousel.

Nah Swirlies are the problem. They aren't well defined lines and it yes, is obviously worse when its the same colors as well.

Ff14 mechanics markers are where it's at, don't need addons and a boss mod to deal with those, this is what WoW needs, clear consice markers.

I like the Classic Timewalking Dungeons because they have very few, if any, swirlies.
They just have mobs that hit for 60% of your hp.

Isn't void the source, while shadow the manifestasion of it's energy, but while you could be voidy, you don't have be to use it's energy.

If solo content is more rewarding than group content, that's because the group content is dog shit, not that the solo content needs to be nerfed.

I remember an addon that we used that showed you where to stand and where not to stand. It didn’t last long because blizz banned it

Delves should give the same rewards as mythic+. The only diff should be delves are for solos and mythic for teamwork.
I hope they wont lower the rewards from delves because if they do that wiuld pretty much kill delves.
I enjoy doing delves with friends. I don't want to see them even think of making it solo only content. I won't touch M+, regardless of the gear attached.
The issue with taking on the transition between delves and mythic plus by making delves beyond + 8 give gear is that the that would then put pressure on players who mostly do stuff like heroic raids to do even more delves because "will I'm going to be getting better gear which I need to do the heroic raids and the mythic pluses that I already do" and then you have another piece of content that feels mandatory that's something that they're trying to avoid.

The simplest solution for the delve issue is making it lower ilvl but getting a boost in delves/open world. Just like pvp gear.
Hopefully next is N'Zoth. It and Azshara being bound to a single patch was ridiculous. Maybe this time N'Zoth will be in the ruins of Shattrath, the so called "Missing Raid" from WOD. Which we can explore with the help of Garona, whose lore if you read the books is tied to Shattrath.

@@ArcadeStunfisk Old Gods never truly die, and that's from Blizzard themselves. As far as we know the only way to get rid of them completely would be to destroy Azeroth itself, as they are tied to the planet. Short of that, there is always a way to resurrect them.
When they "die" they just return to the void. All speculation of course, but it makes sense.
When plunderstorm came out, I wasn't really that into the game mode (I did warm to it a bit towards the end), but the pace you earned rewards at was SO bad that after a few matches I was like "Well they are clearly going to buff the rewards for this, I'll just come back later". Of course they did buff it to a much more reasonable place later on. It's kinda crazy that even before there was this big pattern of them starting out low and then buffing things, it was so bad that it was immediately obvious they were going to change it, like within an hour and a half or so.
The need to let Delves exist as it's own endgame pillar on par with the other pillars, rather than have it be a junior pillar like it is now. I do not enjoy Mythics, and there is nothing they can do to Delves that will change that -- but they can make Delves feel more rewarding than they currently do.
They just don't understand that Mythic+ sucks for most people, and without some kind of massive, fundamental change, that's not going to get any better.
So basically: The cosmology chart was based on the game but used as part of "training" for new designers, meaning the game ended up being based on the chart.
Mr gm showed the "itsy bitsy spider" achivement. Thats a overwatch character widowmaker. And i discoverd there's two achivements for finding and collecting lots of books. And another one thats get a stack of 100 of that "old god jiz" XD.
Ground swirlies are perilously close to the only mechanic in WoW. I don't really have a problem with that (though I'd love to see more creativity, don't ask me how) but a translucent wall projected upward from the zone of the mechanic would at least mean you would see them.
I have no idea why Blizz haven't figured out the simplest and most effective method of making rewards balanced. Like it's literally as simple as taking the generous and conservative values and then implementing the average/middle ground. The median way just works

Veteran gear... The only purpose those will have is Disenchant fodder. You basically start in champ gear as soon as you hit max level, and they think lfr level stuff thats warbound is gunna be worthwhile? Do they actually play the game they work on? Or do they just pvp then listen to the fans about pve?
@4:15 if they start with the rewards high and where they want them people will STILL complain that it is too slow and takes too long so they start with rewards being stingy as hell and then "buff" them later to where it is reasonable to appease the people who are going to boo hoo cry no matter what. It makes the cry babies feel like they won and that blizzard is listening.
Get rid of the timers in mythic+ and everything will be instantly fixed.
Quick note about the chest you can buy with valor stones, you need a mythic rating of 1000. As someone who doesnt do mythic content, this is useless to me. I hope they change that.
M+ needs more rewards for pushing higher than 2000/2400. Take PVP for example, the further you push PVP rating you are rewarded with weapon illusions, etc. M+ which has more of a player base get a mount at 2k and the glow on the shoulders at 2400, then there isnt a reason to push.
I absolutely love FFXIV's storytelling, the Ascians were always a constant threat pushing the story forward.

Look at the raid, BRD now imagine a world where the reward was worth the difficulty. A mid content raid like BRD could’ve been awesome if the ranked rewards were three levels higher. I would like to see the content graph of players that actually did that raid on heroic to completion
I tried one delve and it felt so artificial, tye dwarf was telling to follow a rail car, then i have objetives on the side, then a bunch of appeared, then press a lever, same thing next stage... I was expecting go into this hole and discover by yourself whats inside and what to do, mobs already there and not spawning. It felt like blizzard was holding my hand
The rewards issue is so bad I just stop playing for weeks until they fix em. I know I'm throwing time away when I do these events early.
How the hell are people sitting on 2k valorstones so often? I'm finding so many things to spend them on. Gear for offspec, upgrading, etc...I'm the total opposite I'm always out of stones.

Same. If you no-life it, then maybe you'll sit at cap, but my upgrades are gated behind stones most of the time.
eventually the problem inverts for most people, you go from being stone starved to crest starved. Ive capped out numerous times and just wasted them on minor upgrades just to prevent wasting newly acquired valorstones, even on offspec gear. you are probably not doing everything that rewards valorstones either.
I can’t speak for everyone, but for me the reason I’m constantly capped is because I never upgraded any of my vet/champ gear. I knew I had ways to get heroic gear, so I just saved them for upgrading heroic pieces… and now I’m crest-starved.
Same - not enough crests. So I made a speed set and upgraded it all to 580 - now I have 30% speed for doing old raids and dungeons.
I think the number of swirlies is an issue, however, I think that the bigger issues affecting all forms of content are the imbalance when it comes to roles and their responsibilities and the sheer amount of burst damage present in all content.
Ye, with the lore and powers in the world, they forgot WoW was very ground to earth, corrupted by "aliens", but now we very much lack that down to earth battles, tho they try now with the current expansion
But the world is being rulled by bigger power and we become bigger than space rullers really hurt the game.

Honestly less mythic plus push more delve push imo and stop nurfing my shaman dammit it's hard enough to solo things where I'm spending heals on myself more than dmg. When my prot warrior walks through delves solo like it's nothing...
Shaman is the best DPS in the game right now.
Also, it's obvious tank will have easier time tanking through open world damage.

while i dont NEED Delves to give out Mythic Gear, i wouldnt mind it. but in such case they should add more difficulties, so Mythic Gear isnt a +8 away.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind being able to get the best gear from delves, but it needs to have difficulty that reflects the level of reward. Getting Hero gear from every key and Myth every week from doing current level 8 delves would just invalidate every other kind of content by making gearing completely trivial
If they nerf delve vaults to the point they don't drop Hero track gear at T8, I'll just straight up quit the game. I hate M+ but like heroic raiding.

Delve gear shouldn't be above M1. T10 delves should equal M0. I never do mythic I've only done delves and I'm 616 with very little effort and I honestly shouldn't be
I swear to f-ck i do not want to be smashed into mythic because they nerf delve rewards. Why can't they just have parellel paths and give us harder delves? I just want gear that makes the grind a bit less deadly, I've had so much fun with delves and soloing or duoing 8s with my partner, i don't want to be forced to do group content just to make world content manageable. Arg!
I've stopped playing because I don't want to do mythic plus. I haven't stayed subscribed for an entire expansion since M+ has been the focus of endgame. I don't play wow when m+ is reguired to be competitive in raid. I geared with delves had a blast honestly, progressed through the raid killed the queen got a aotc. I would do mythic raid progress but we just don't have a consistent 20-man team right now. So I'm not playing well right now and I've done this for a long time mythic plus makes me leave the game I don't enjoy it and I don't enjoy being forced to do it.
so now i just wait till till they buff rewards in later weeks because they always buff them

I won’t play Mythic dungeons. I dislike them a lot as a healer main. I am glad for delves. Else I would be done with the season already.
That's nice. I am capped at valor stones and can't spend them but since I primarily do delves and not mythics I have no mythic+ rating so I can't gear my alts with my excess valor stones??

Currencies are still dumb. Pre-patch currencies have always been stupid - they should trade in for some post-patch currency somehow so they're not just taking up bag space and need to be thrown out.

I hate mythic+ I quit raiding since wrath because i dint have the time to run it 3-4 times to upgrade it gear once. Rather just run delves at stay at 3/6 hero gear. It's in me if I fail and I di t waste 30 min or more if the mythic plus fails.

They fixed the BFA meta one... how about they fix the stuff in Shadowlands... a lot of stuff is broken to the point its impossible to get like " Breaking the chains" achieve for the mount . they should fix the other time gated items like the abomination one in maldraxus and the fungus guy.. seems like too much for one achieve in the mass of the whole meta achieve.
Every time there is a reward grind it feels like Blizz extending sub times. Why get one month out of someone when they can get two or three. Them pretending it isnt is a joke after BFA longboi. The Item Level bloat HAS to STOP.
Mythic dungeon gear should cap at base level. Increasing the difficulty should reward either more loot drops,
higher % chance for tert/ gem-slot procs, or a currency to outright buy the desired gear from some vendor.
If more power is needed, let it come from interesting gear that interacts with the world in new & creative ways.
the bloat will never end, they will bloat and crunch until the end of time because they have programmed the playerbase to only see increases in power as viable rewards. its a blizzard created issue.

Were they to trim the gear bloat by capping everything at base, offer us the ability to reforge or to modify our gear with interesting or creative mods ( not unlike the Remix Gems, for instance ) I might make the game more fun, more accessible & over-all BETTER.
