Ferrari Dino SP Race Car

I noticed that as well. They began with the 289 Ford V-8. The Mark IV had a 427.

He's comparing to the flagship cars at that time. Ie, "just behind the GT40 without having to use a 12 cylinder Ferrari or a 5.0L Ford to do it".
