I used the smoking on the Weber for chicken and it works absolutely well if you don’t have hours to spare and want quick smoked chicken wings or pork ribs.
flair ups is what makes the taste! it caramelizes the meat! I am happy to see it can do it. Many grills don't get hot enough or designed not to to flair up!
For fresh corn on the cob, I just need it hot enough to melt the butter- leave husks on, throw in microwave for 30 secs. A little butter/salt/pepper, done! Firm and delicious.
I have done three racks of ribs on my Lumin so far, and I used the low setting, and I bought the second smoke box accessory. So the meat only had indirect heat. Ribs came out perfectly cooked.

The smoke box is obviously designed to have food on top of it.
