    we are here in Subangan Museum of Davao Oriental
    and it is located at Provincial Tourism Complex
    in Barangay Don Martin Marundan,
    Mati City, Davao Oriental.
    It’s not just a museum, it’s not a place of artifacts
    but it’s a place of ideas.

    How to get here in Subangan Museum?
    Well, look at this map.
    If you are a foreign tourist or a local tourist,
    from Ninoy Aquino International Airport
    ride on a plane, it's 960 kilometers and it takes
    1 hour and 30 minutes and this is the fastest way
    to reach Francisco Bangoy(Davao) International Airport

    you'll take a ride in a taxi going to Ecoland Bus Terminal,
    and then from Ecoland Bus Terminal
    you'll take a passenger bus bound to Mati City,
    it's 156 kilometers and it takes 3-4 hours
    to reach Mati Centennial Transport Terminal Complex.
    “East” is what Subangan means.
    It was from the Bisayan word, Subang,
    although, Subang can also mean “sunrise”
    or a place where the sun rises.
    When you enter the Museum, you will see a Dinosaur-like skeleton,
    \which implies THIS IS NOT a Dinosaur.
    Its name is DAVOR. It is a 53 ft Sperm Whale
    (weighs 20 metric tons when alive)
    which was found lifeless all along the seashore
    of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental in 2010.
    This is considered the 7th largest whale on exhibit
    in the world and the first in the Philippines.
    Subangan Museum is planned to be an
    income-generating project to preserve it economically.
    It opens daily (Monday to Sunday)
    from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Entrance fee is P100 for foreign nationals,
    P50 for locals, P30 for residents,
    for senior citizens and students
    outside Davao Oriental is P20
    and P10 for students and children within Davao Oriental.
    The design of the museum is really lovely.
    Each corner of this gallery represents a piece of Davao Oriental.
    This is not just a museum that shows old-fashioned
    things or antique but also features photos,
    videos, a replica of what can be seen in Davao Oriental.
