At first I was not happy with mine. The workmanship was wonderful but I didn't care for the text block. Notice that I said, "at first". As I used it I grew to love this bible. I can now recommend it for those who are looking for a smaller more portable bible. Thanks Tim for the review. It is awesome as usual!

Loving mine that was given to me by a German pastor 👏🏻. Same but blue. I keep going back and forth between it and my PSQ NIV constantly struggling with the “which one should I use today” question. Just started in the premium Bible game and the struggle to choose is real. 🤦🏻♂️🤣

I want this Bible because it’s the size and speckled pages for me. I feel like that would be perfect to travel and the font is big enough read and even preach from as well

Tim, have you seen the latest version of the classic reader? It's red Meriva calfskin with blue edging and blue ribbons. It's pretty funky looking.
Great review! I wanted to cry when I went to Allan’s site and this Bible is not listed. I purchased the text only Allan ESV after watching your review a couple weeks ago, but did not see this one listed then either. This is the exact size Bible I want to get. I really like the way the references are in the gutter and don’t clutter the page. It is an awesome Bible, and I’d love to find one with the red speckled gilding! Thanks for sharing Tim! ✝️
Keep an eye on their site! They often show up again after seeming to sell out. There’s also a few people in the Allan Bible Addicts group on FB who have offered to sell their copies.
@@timwildsmith Wow Tim, thank you so much. If I don’t manage to snag one from the company, I just joined the Allan Bible Addicts group on FB. Do I just post a comment that I’m looking for one? I have never done that before. Also, do you know if Allan makes and NASB PR? You have gotten me hooked on these premium Bible’s, and I’m not going to have them a long time to enjoy, but for the time I do have left, I will treasure them. I love my NKJV Humble Lamb that the company sent me as a gift when they found out my health condition. It is a beauty; a dark blue with a bright blue guilt. The font is amazing, and when I’m holding it I feel like I can feel the power of the Holy Spirit blessing me. Hard to explain. Do you Have a Humble Lamb? ❤️
@@2lpitzers Yes, you should just post an intro of yourself and say that you're looking for one and see if anyone is willing to sort with theirs. I've not seen and NASB PR from Allan (just the NASB Reader), and I have never seen a Humble Lamb in person... though I'd like to!

What’s your thoughts in regards to Charfleet corners? Is it quantity over quality? Or, do you think is is lack of skill from the craftsman who does the corner work? Or a little of both? I know that corner work is a skill that improves with practice and that some have the “knack” and some do not.

I’m not someone who spends a lot of time looking at corners or worrying about them all that much. I certainly see the difference, but not a big deal for me.

How does this compare with the Cambridge Clarion as far as readability?
Very similar. Same typeface… single column… reference placement is the biggest difference.
