Thanks to the cast and crew of "The Blacklist" for allowing us to take part in the collective landscape and explore a wide array of characters in between over the course of 10 seasons. Raymond Reddington, in particular, will be missed. I'm especially grateful to have collaborated on this project with Jenifer McElwaine, a talented actress and musician, who entrusted me with one of her songs.

I’m still trying to process the finale, to be honest. I don’t think it was necessary for Red to die in the end. I hoped for him to go off the grid and enjoy life for as long as possible albeit with Weecha, Dembe, or both. He deserved and earned a chance at happiness. Another scenario could’ve still entailed his having a confrontation with Ressler on the same field, minus a certain bull - resulting in the latter refusing to take him into custody and letting Red be.
Same here. I will miss the show very much and continue to celebrate Red in this manner - exuberant and alive. His death at the end was unnecessary in my opinion and didn’t fit the narrative. Thank you so much for taking the time to both watch and write. 🙏🌹

I still don't believe Ruddington to be killed by a beast of all things. Is he dead like dead? We'll definitely miss him.
I’ll miss Red as well! He didn’t deserve to go out so violently. He should’ve been able to go away as he wanted to and live off the grid, enjoying all of life’s moments as long as possible albeit with Weecha, Dembe, or both. It felt - and still feels - abrupt to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to both watch and write. I’m planning a second tribute, and my hope is to publish that in the near future - minus the bull of course. 🙏🌹
They ended well and respectfully. As someone who watched all the seasons multiple times even the stupid soapy ones. I will miss it very much. I thought it was appropriate for Ressler to find him and place The man in the hat, hat over him as a sign of respect. I remember way back when they were locked in the booth and Red told Donald you can't die on me that's a $600 tie. I have not enjoyed a show like that in a very long time. Don't know that I will again.
An excellent and unique character was written and portrayed by unique James Spader, Redington was a quite cinematic personality, great series and great ending, no doubt it was ending in his demise and in such an undignified manner (he was a criminal fugitive).
I dont think it was indignified. He died untouched by any enemy, or man's justice. He was killed by nature, and among it by the Miura bull known for its fighting skills and bravery. He died as he wished - alive, full of adrenaline, standing brave against a beast, unscared, looking him in the eye. He died as he lived - for society in an idignified way he diserved as a criminal. For him and those who knew him - in a way he would choose, ready and unbroken, alive even in death.

Love your videos. When I think about it, I think Dembe's story was the most heartbreaking. Yes Red saved his life but only to die shortly after. Dembe lost everything but I cannot help but feel like Red made sure he was well taken care of. In fact, I feel like he took care of the entire Task Force along with many others. I just hate that the last scene we see is Red's Broken body. Part of me hoped that he'd get to live his last days quietly but once he put a bullet in Hudson I knew that this wasn't going to end well. Great Video! Really good show. I do feel like it became something completely different than it started out as. But I think much of that was because this show spent it's final 5 years in limbo so it went from a very detailed oriented spy thriller to basically being a soap opera. I just hate that it didn't give a good explanation as to how Katarina became Red or reveal anyone finding out. Then again that's probably why they chose to end it so abruptly. They realized through dialogue and some serious suspension of disbelief that they butchered it. There were too many scenes that revealed so much dishonest story telling but I digress. @@cherylbaxter8986 There was a half ass one in 8-22 but fever dreams only go so far with me. I'd of loved to seen everyone's reaction. I mean Even that explanation didn't pass the logic bar. I think the one thing they really and truly they didn't think about is how awful this made the people who knew look. Liz's mother becoming her father? Uhh what. A treasonus KGB spy whose secret is protected by her father best friend and the family of the man she was spying on all for being paid off. Then the fake Katarina angle. That woman had every right in the world to be bitter and pretty much off all of them. Mr. Kaplan pretty much the same thing. I just don't get the whole burying the bones under a tree marked with a K. Zero sense there. Honestly I think they had fail safe in place when they said the bones could only be identified by an extracted tooth. Which made me wonder if the path they chose was what they really wanted to do. Honestly I don't think so. I think so much dialogue completely goes against it but the people who love and support that theory will only tell you about everything that works for it. I could pick it apart in my sleep but it's the path they chose. My problem is I put far more emphasis on details than any of their writers did but I am a believer of consistency. That's just me. I have zero problems with Red being Kat, I just KNOW I could of done a much better job of getting you guys there and I suck as a writer.

But regardless I still feel like I could've done a better job myself. And I don't say this arrogantly. I just feel like they glossed over so much that truly mattered.

The ending was poorly thought out. Dembe's character was watered down. Starting the Series, Dembe looked like that close confidant who knew most of the secrets, even what Red was keeping from Liz... even making it obvious that he didn't want to let Liz know because he was loyal to Red. He appeared like someone who knew so much. Toward the end, he became this person who knew nothing, really... just clues here and there. Almost like someone from High School came to write the last episodes with help from some experts for a few Brilliant scenes.
He knew Red, just not ALL his businesses.
I agree with every point you raised. I’m still processing the finale, in particular Red’s violent death. I hoped his journey would conclude on a very different note - he deserved much better. Lizzie’s passing created a void which I also maintain could’ve been handled better than compromising Dembe and his extensive history with Red. No. Katarina has NO brothers. This is cleary stated in 8x21.. And we know this Red is Russian. The real Reddington is American so therefore he is not from that side of Liz family...

It's a pity that the Writers screwed up the ending. The mutilation of Red's body from a Bull was fitting for Red's choice of death. But ... the inexcusable lack of answering all the questions they presented to the viewers for 10 years was an utter-disappointment. In the realm of LOST, Dexter, and GOT, why would anyone want to re-watch episodes for possible missed clues when at the end ... none of it matters.
Why would future viewers want to watch it. We watched it for 10 years in anticipation we can work out who Red is, what the letter to Elizabeth had written on it, and what was his plans for Agnes.
They gave us all of the important answers, who Red was, to Liz, then Agnes. Why Red came back into her life, although probably mostly because Red just loved her too much to leave her alone.

I was disappointed in the final show, I was hoping Red would expose him for who was his real boss.
I thought Red’s journey would conclude differently as well.
