not an expert on Chinese mythology but this feels like a situation where the monk would have been chastised for his unreasonable aggression towards harmless yao-guai.
Actually he was a misguided monk, but it is an understandable reason to why he hunts Yao guai , the saying not all Yaoguai are bad, but that doesn’t mean all of are good as well. The fact is the White and Green snake look pretty for us as audiences and to the person that fell in love.
@@leongwaikit6658 makers sense was just confused cause from what i do know hunting yao-guai for the sake of it seems more a Daoist thing, Buddhist monks are usually implied to need a reason to act.
