Heaters efficiecy are good when they are operated as per their design....typically heaters are designed for 15% excess air for fuel gas firing and 25% excess air for oil gas firing...as you mentioned in the video, O2% monitoring at arch is the good sign to maintain optaimal excess air...and coming to draft, heaters are designed for 2.54 mm WC draft at arch...more draft will also lead to more excess air resulting more N2 which carries heat and less flue gas temperature...it will decrease temperature difference between flue gas and process temperature leading to less heat transfer...therefore heater efficiency reduces...in order to operate heater efficiently, both draft and excess air to be maintained close to heater design..
@@SandeepAcademy9 I was wandering...furnace efficiency can also be increased by recovering heat in APH...and of course the more we cool flue gas in APH, air temperature will be high which leads to higher fuel efficiency...what is the operating guideline followed to cool flue gas so that efficiency can be increased? Could you throw your practical experience on this point ....typically heaters are designed to cool flue gas up to 25 deg.c above flue gas acid dew point...however, since acid dew point depends on sulfur quantity in fuel gas which varies regularly....would like to know how flue gas temperature is limited ?
@Sandeep Academy, Thanks. Is 165 deg.c limit as per design? Since design has some margin above acid dew point, Refiners can still further cool to utilize that margin...in your case, if flue gas can be further cooled to 154 deg.c, efficiency can be increased by 0.5% which is huge in terms of annual fuel savings.

there is no flame on the burner tip, there is only surface oxidation, like wood burning under biriyani deg, all parameters are ok

For each furnace there is a limitation on Flue Gas temperature reduction. In my case....it should not be below 165 C.
Where are you working? you have very good idea of furnace.
