I had lived a couch potato life in my early 20s and became bald, fat, grumpy, frustrated by the time I was 25. Then I decided its high time to change my lifestyle, its been 4 years since I started adopting healthy habits, one healthy habit at a time. I've been doing night shift for last 10 years. I haven't seen the face of sun for a long time. I live in Delhi. This metropolitan capital city is so conjusted and over populated. There is no sunlight comes in my apartment. Nobody goes to terrace to take a sun bath during winter. Nobody talks to each other in my neighbourhood. Nobody helps each other. Most people are selfish and self-centered and careless about others. No greenaries are there in my surroundings. Most of my friends order foods through Swiggy and Zomato or dine out at a restaurant. They drink and smoke a lot and go to night clubs on every weekend. Few of them are extremely alcoholic and chainsmokers too. Even I'm also becoming like them. I belong to a family who are hardcore non vegetarian and most of my friends are like that. Late night party, street foods, loud music, movie night in multiplex, booze, puff, online delivery, junc foods, use cab or metro for transportation and less walk, streaming on OTT platforms, go to bed in early morning and wake up in the afternoon, use mobile and social medias a lot. Facing hair loss and struggling with joint pains. So this is my lifestyle. I reckon I'm dying deliberately.

Fiber feeds the gut biome. Consume more protein. If you consume alcohol then you're only harming your body even further slowly try to get rid of it .... easier said than done ik.

I'd like to ask a question to anyone who's reading this.
I am a 19-year old guy who hasn't ever used profanity in my entire lifetime. Never have had profane, abusive arguments with my friends. But they say those boys/men who don't use sexually abusive words (profanity, generally directed towards women) in their language aren't masculine but weak. I've never employed any profane arguments because I was brought in a very devout, religious Hindu environment and thereby my mind always sees all women as equal to my mother and sister. So my even if i would want to voluntarily use a "Gaali" my mind doesn't allow it. I've been initiated into Brahma-charya parva since the age of 15. Most of my cool, "Gen-z" friends in college are atheists and have lost their virginity. They always force me to use profane words and watch dirty videos.
Please clarify my doubt, If I don't give abusive words am I not masculine? I am quite slim I agree (55 kg 5'8) but I exercise daily. Also I am regular at academics, but still people say I am not enough "masculine" because I am not harsh against anyone and don't abuse anyone. Is profanity and abuse a criterium for being masculine?
Plz clarify, this is my sincere question.

    • @swastiikk
      @swastiikk 8 місяців тому +10

      Oh My Brother:( ❤
First of all, I want to say that you are not alone in feeling this way. Many young men struggle with the pressure to conform to a certain idea of masculinity, which is often influenced by their peers, media. However, there is no one right way to be a man, and you should not let anyone make you feel bad about yourself for being who you are.
Profanity and abuse are not criteria for being masculine. In fact, they are signs of insecurity, disrespect, and immaturity. Using sexually abusive words towards women is not only offensive, but also harmful to their dignity and rights. Watching dirty videos can also affect your mental health, your relationships, and your views on sexuality. You have every right to refuse to do these things, and to stand up for your values and beliefs.
Masculinity is not about how you look, what you do, or what you say. It is about how you treat yourself and others, how you express your emotions, how you cope with challenges, and how you pursue your goals. There are many positive aspects of masculinity, such as courage, honesty, responsibility, compassion, and integrity. These are the qualities that make you a strong, confident, and respectful man.
You should be proud of yourself for being a devout, religious Hindu, for seeing all women as equal to your mother and sister, for exercising daily, and for being regular at academics. These are all admirable and commendable traits that show your character and your potential. You have a bright future ahead of you, and you should not let anyone dim your light..
      Take care warrior .👍🏻

You are masculine enough, nothing wrong with you 👍🏻. Just focus on your academics, physical and mental health. It's a good thing that you don't use profanity, because that makes you civilized. Just make sure to never let anyone walk over you or take advantage of you. Respect everyone, but don't put anyone on a pedestal and forget about fitting in with your friends. You're fine, don't let your friends peer pressure you into developing their bad habits. Good luck! 👍🏻

I had worked in ireland, the minimum wage here is 16 euros or 1200 rupees, in india its 30 rupees per hour. For the argument on expenses the cost of ground beef(grass fed organic) is 5 euros or 450 rupees per kg and rent is around 200 euroes or 19k rupees. In india beef is around 500 rupees for non organic, even more expensive than irish beef, and rent in delhi is still 10k. The expenses are almost same making ireland 400 times BETTER financially country. And dont get me started on how healthy people are here.

It's extremely sad and opposite to my personal experience.
I've been to multiple countries became addicted to adrenaline rush from mountain climbing so I choose to practice and learn a lot of outdoor sports in my early 20's, at the age of 65 I'm still an active swimmer and still loves my late uncle's akhada he's a well known ustaad in Mumbai, I lot has changed there are numerous Gymnastic Clubs in India that offers rock climbing, rope climbing, jujitsu etc, they were totally absent in my younger days in India, now their immense presence shows to me that a lot of teens/youngster are intrested in these activities.
What I've observed is that more and more young people are joining the fitness club I go to, Gym's are over-crowded, Yoga classes at every other corner, may be it's due rapid availability of desk jobs and on the top of that Work from Home jobs are under huge demand, you can even see youngster gyming and swimming in late afternoon.
Contrary to your presented views every other day media outlests post various articles on huge surge of active lifestyle among Indians.

Being a doctor I would suggest you to refrain from making videos on topics that are not your area of expertise per se! Most points in your videos are either wrong or have countless counter arguments & researches. Not trying to demotivate you but these things are way more complicated to explain in 12 minute video & sends wrong perception in people’s minds.
Hope you take the criticism in a positive way cause I have seen countless people watching these types of videos, getting their testosterone levels checked & getting panic attacks the moment they see any suboptimal reports

Although this video is about men...... We as a whole generation, both men and women are regressing....... Both are getting weaker, accepted that this is more visible in men, but it is there in women too.... Earlier women used to do all the household things and were MUCH stronger and my grandfather was and still is also very very strong to this day.
Secondly, on intellectual terms too, we are getting abominably dumber because of over dependence on technology and AI and lack of focused thinking and basically no one reads anymore, giving them no opportunity to really delve into any topic. It is really hampering mental growth as well.
People talk about going to gym and working out more because it's trendy rather than healthy. They would use a vehicle for going to roadside stall but show off their work out sessions in gym.... This is sheer stupidity.
Eat healthy, sleep well, try to get a routine, do your routine daily physical work yourself. Go on walks and maybe work out a little and you'll be fine. And one most important things is stress, they say a happy man is often the healthiest.

Testosterone levels in men can decline for various reasons, including age, lifestyle factors, and health conditions. As men age, typically after the age of 30, there is a gradual decline in testosterone production. This natural process, known as andropause, contributes to lower testosterone levels and may result in symptoms like reduced energy, diminished libido, and mood changes.
Unhealthy lifestyle choices such as poor diet, lack of exercise, excessive alcohol consumption, and smoking can also accelerate testosterone decline. Additionally, certain medical conditions like obesity, diabetes, and chronic stress can negatively impact testosterone production.
Environmental factors, such as exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals, can further contribute to hormonal imbalances. Furthermore, inadequate sleep and insufficient vitamin D levels have been linked to lower testosterone levels.
While age-related decline is inevitable, adopting a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise, a balanced diet, and stress management can help mitigate the decrease in testosterone levels. Medical interventions, such as hormone replacement therapy, may be considered in cases of severe deficiency, but they come with potential risks and should be carefully monitored.
