Cops Catch Them Partying Too Hard After Making This Mistake

- Bodycam Footage of Florida Fish And Wildlife Officers Eli Burkhead, and Robert Ramos ,Observed a white male attempt to put his motor in gear while the prop was out out of the water, making an incredibly annoying sound.
The officers continued to watch the man from a distance as he continued to drink beers, and party with his friends.
Later on they observed the same white male preparing to leave, so they decided they would get closer to conduct a safety inspection.
While the patrol vessel got closer the occupants looked directly at the officers, and abruptly changed their plans, throwing their anchor back in the water.

That sunglass tan is exceptional. He doesn't do much else but boat...
“Here’s my horn but it doesn’t work”. He pretty much just proved the officers point as to why an external whistle or horn is required…😂😂😂
Really the cop arrested the guy for a DUI and he had to read the signs of a impaired driver of of a paper many cops abuse the power to arrest anyone and say it's a DUI.
An external whistle or horn isn't actually required so long as the horn on the boat works. There just needs to be an "efficient sound-producing device" on board under florida law. It is in fact normally the built in horn that is used to fulfill this requirement.
@@gamerguy696clearly u don’t know shit about boats… if they can’t get him on DUI which it was obvious anyways. Tickets for each requires safety instrument was necessary. Especially for a boat that size. It’s the law
Shoulda spent money on quality PFDs and not the crappy boat. A good PFD will have a whistle teathered to it and sometimes even a light. Must have blown all the money on the boat and bought the most basic Walmart basic PFDs.

They're all wasted including the captain. Unacceptable.
It always seemed a little dangerous to put somebody in handcuffs in a boat.!
It's not dangerous as long they sit down and shut up.
It's very dangerous and should abolished for obvious reasons.
There r several lawsuits involving death and close calls that stem from handcuffing an alleged intoxicated person on a body of water. The most infamous case is a young man on lake of the ozarks. Those orange vest just slip off immediately after landing n the water.
It's ridiculous and based off a power Trip just like most of these tactics. They could prolly arrest every single boat out there, the kid in the video didn't seemed to b impaired n my opinion

Doesn’t matter if they’re wearing a life jacket. It’s irresponsible and dangerous to place anyone in cuffs with their hands behind their back while on a boat.
Back in the 70's I was stopped by the NJ Marine police for an inspection. I refused to allow him to board my boat and that torqued his ego ! I passed the equipment check and told him to have a nice day.

How do you arrest the most sober one on the boat because you saw him drinking "beers" with binocholars from way out? I mean how long were you just sitting there watching him drink beers? Doesn't it take like 5 beers to blow drunk anyways? Was he driving the boat? No, he sure wasn't either. Not to mention these cops came in with a real chip on their shoulder. The guys left on the boat should not be STRANDED with no options besides swimming to shore and leaving the boat anchored, that sounds insanely negligent to me. I'm also not trying to make excuses for the one who got arrested, if he blows over then he should be arrested, but he just didn't come off that intoxicated to me, the only thing he failed that I saw was he forgot about a "whistle" as cops are pulling up yelling at him for things to provide and show them immediately as he is also helping them tie their boat to his boat, it's like uhhhh I could see how you could forget a fcking whistle while all of that is happening. fewer boats on the water back then.
I by no means condone irresponsible behavior, but after watching many of these clips, I can't help but notice a common theme among many of these FWC officers and that is a persistent need to flex their authority while pretending safety is their top priority.
Perhaps they never got picked to be on the team so wearing a big vest and a badge makes them feel redeemed to some degree. Kind of sad how obvious their cringeworthy thirst for validation shines.
Now, kudos to those officers out there with good intentions and showing genuine humility while staying professional.
Shame to those with daddy's boats who think they can do as they please without repercussions. Hopefully this is a good lesson for them.
It’s true and most the videos I watched were of 2-3 men with 5-6 women on the boat and ive seen multiple videos of captains blowing under .08 on land aches having failed the so called testing while on sea
Saw a guy blow 0.00 and they STILL took him in. Couldn't do the stupid paddy cake test to the officer's satisfaction. These guys seem a little bit out of control to me.
@@ScottH22175taking him in for a blood draw, because if you’re not drunk, you’re high🙄. Reminds me of the video where the officer pulled over a college kid for having his brights on in city limits. Officer said that he smelled alcohol coming from the car/his breath, made him do a lengthy field sobriety test (which he absolutely crushed, in the rain, in shorts), had him blow into a breathalyzer (no surprise, he blew triple 0’s), the officer then had him sit in the passenger seat of his squad and proceeded to ask him when the last time he had smoked weed was, the college kid laughed at him and reminded the officer that his original statement was “he smelled alcohol”, the officers ego gets so hurt that this kid isn’t buying into his bs and decides to take him in for a blood draw anyways. BIG FREAKIN SHOCKER, the kid was negative across the board (and I bet he was more sober than the officer on the day he was born), then he had to force the officer to give the most halfhearted bs apology of his life, and finally the kid walks out of there still a free man and gets started on his lawsuit😂

Thank you for fast forwarded the field test! I usually have to fast forward those as they go on forever and it’s the same every time
“How did we go from boozing to jail”? Hahaha! That’s how you went to jail bro.
The thing that really kills me about field sobriety is you can easily breathalyze a person. But I’m sure there is a reason to the madness
Cops are on a power trip. Extremely rude and condescending for no reason.
Bro that's how they always are for DUI's, if you had to witness the aftermath of a DUI crash then you would not be saying that, My uncle had to respond to boat crash on Lake Ontario, the driver was drunk and they spent the next week looking for 6 bodies, not one person on that boat survived
The only people on a power trip here are the idiots thinking they can drink a bunch of alcohol and than operate a boat around a bunch of other boats.
Cops are always on a power trip. And anyone who thinks they actually care about anyone’s saftey is a laughing stock. Cops are just pirates generating revenue and they are trained to get u jammed up and give you a bui. That’s why they always ask the operator to get the safety stuff so they can trump up some bs charges about him slurring his speech or not being able to find the stuff. Don’t listen to them anyone on the boat can get the safety stuff
Felt the same way right as they approached the boat it was like with extreme attitude for some reason. The kid that got arrested was the least drunk of all of them, not that it's a good excuse to not arrest him, but you basically just stranded the rest of the drunker people on the boat and forced them to swim back to shore or .... find a friend on the water that can take them back, wtf? I'd be like officer why don't you hang on a second, since I'm not in any trouble and you already arrested my friend, I'm on the horn with both my lawyer and your supervisor. Because if something happens to us after getting off this boat, you're going down in flames.
Safety is no reason?
I am down the rabbit hole of FWC videos. Im noticing they all have quite the attitude. I am also noticing most of these boaters have no idea how to put a life vest on.

Who is the real idiots here?
I swear the captains in these videos always look like the same guy.
They always get you when you’re getting ready to leave. They sit with binoculars waiting their fishing.
Normally I’m on the officers side but the officer seemed a bit arrogant. Especially when the kid was showing him the extinguisher and was missing something and the kid asked what he was missing and the officer wouldn’t tell him. Just tell the kid what he’s missing, more than likely the anxiety of the situation made him forget things
