    This isn't a performance vehicle. I can understand it's a dual-clutch but again it isn't a performance vehicle. What the target market looks out for isn't changing of gears and engaging driving but a safe everyday commute over a long distance and duration. I do agree with you in how these premium brands still try to make necessary options that must be basic or standard, options at extra cost. Basic safety protocols shouldn't be optional. I liked your review though. Very precise and concise!

    In the US, base is $38,600... you said a lower amount. US does have a spare tire as standard (a few countries do have a spare besides the US).Best to get the MSport version as that will include the paddle shifters. Enjoyed the video 🤙!

    Shifting on the steering wheel is optional for a very small fee. Or included in the M package.

      It doesn’t make sense to me why it wouldn’t be included. It feels like a key feature that was left out.

    Many reviewers complain about annoying pause when attempting a rapid start from a full stop. And possibly some turbo lag when tromping down on the accelerator- what are your observations??

      Not a typical driving behaviour. What I did notice was from a full stop it takes a second for everything to say oh okay we’re getting going.

    Too bad that it seems only the Canadian model doesn’t get adaptive cruise with drive assist plus/pro, which is available as an option in US and European models. Apparently cooled seats are also available in Europe…we get a bit shafted here

    and ... at least in Australia ... no adjustable lumbar support at all ... ridiculous for such an upmarket vehicle.

    Would you buy the X1 M OR THE Mercedes AMG glb35?

    • @JimmyMak
      @JimmyMak  Рік тому

      Here in Canada we don't get an X1 M there is a M package you can get on the X1 to make it more sporty but doesn't add any performance. Because of that if you want a sporty suv the GLB would be better.

    Beauty! I would buy it, but us it worth over CX-5?

    • @JimmyMak
      @JimmyMak  Рік тому +1

      I would say no. The cx5 would be a better car overal. Larger and some more interior bits that I prefer.
