- Tony Kidd of KIDD Innovative Design, describes in this instructional video our KIDD .22LR Bolt manufactured as an aftermarket product for a 10/22® rifle. Our bolt is not a reworked Ruger® bolt but is machined from steel at KIDD. To complete this bolt assembly we include our aftermarket KIDD firing pin and KIDD extractor. To purchase this bolt follow this link: www.coolguyguns.com/BOLTS_c_9....
We offer this bolt in two colors either black or silver with two different exterior designs of scalloped or matte. Our scalloped finish is derived from a jeweling type finish but on steroids. We have found that over time the light jeweling finish wears with the operation of the bolt however our scalloped finish will not show this form of wear with use. It will maintain the 3D effect in your rifle and add a little spotlight to your piece. On the other hand, if understated is more your style then the smooth matte finish will suit you better.
Some more features that set our bolt apart:
We machine and polish a rear radius to ensure smooth cycling and proper harmonics. Achieving consistency in cycling will boost performance through true repeatability. The breach face is machined square to the bolt body and the headspace is properly formed to allow space for the rim to slide in easily yet hold the case securely once in place. In order to hold the firing pin in place and allow only forward and rearward movement we have pinned the firing pin at the breach face and established tight tolerances for the rear pin. The KIDD extractor adds to the security and steady withdraw of the case. It has a sizable flat surface where it contacts the rim which allows it to firmly hold the rim enabling a steady retraction and proper connection with the ejector.
Among the other cosmetic upgrades with a KIDD .22LR Bolt, you will also notice the slight chamfer on either side of the bolt handle slot. These bevels allow for easy installation of the bolt handle during the initial assembly or after cleaning. Thanks for watching! For more great products by KIDD Innovative Design view our websites at:

Everything Kidd puts out is basically the best. Their bumper stickers likely hold for 20yrs and at least 10 without fading. When in doubt, go Kidd. If you can't afford it, wait until you can. Best drop in, best single stage, best two stage. The best.
Just picked up the scalloped one for my first 10/22 build.
picked up this bolt, the buffer, a 2 stage trigger (field weight) bolt handle and springs, and the pin screws. that is a pretty penny but i put it all into my 10/22 takedown and i absolutly love it! you folks make the best 10/22 guts on the market and in reality the prices are very fair.
Love the way these scalloped bolts look.
I have 3 KIDD bolts now and love them all. Reliability went from so-so to won’t quit!
Got this bolt about a year ago with the soft buffer pin and it works great. Super high quality and my rifle eats anything I feed it. Huge improvement over the stock bolt. Thank you for a quality product at a great price.
Absolutely love the charging handle. I'm saving up for the bolt now. So many guns to buy but I'm totally sold on KIDD products. Thanks for making great products
I need to pick one of these up. I've heard nothing but great things over at RFC, and it's great to see you're an active participant there. Rock on!
Watched several of the Tony Kidd videos and finally got to shoot one at our local club.
Wow, awesome piece of machine work and amazing accuracy!
I just celebrated my 25th work anniversary and rewarded myself with a new Kidd Supergrade rifle.
Grinning like a little boy on Christmas morning.
Bought this bolt, a charging handle/recoil springs/guide rod, and a single stage trigger group for my Ruger Target Model. Love, love, love that rifle.
Nice bolt. Looks like top notch quality and extremely close tolerances held...
I absolutely love mine! Significant improvement. I can’t wait for my new barrel so I can shoot my 10/22 more! These are awesome 110% RECOMMENDED.
Picked one of these up W/ Single stage trigger what are finding feeds best W/your bolt Norma Match Not doing So good.🤔
Such high quality products from KIDD. If i find that cash i will surely buy more parts from you guys :) thank you for standing out from most crowds
I've had this bolt in my Home Custom benchrest 10/22 for 11 years now. It runs smooth as butter.
Wonderful to hear, thank you for the feedback. Good shooting! Mary Kidd
Received my KIDD bolt this evening , can't wait to install it and give it a go. The black finish and scallops should look good in the wood stock
Got one of your recievers with mostly ruger parts in it, that is going to change soon. Excellent work. The scalloped bolt looks awesome.
Curiously interesting. I would expect to find a Ruger receiver with Kidd innards, not the other way around.
I have a kidd barrel and love it, think I'll have to buy the bolt now.
I wish kidd would produce a really ultra light carbon fiber or graphite barrel. Thanks for the video explaining it all and I'm planning on a bolt sometime
Eley Tenex is hard to beat. I have tested hundreds of lots at Eley and can tell you that it definitely varies greatly from lot# to lot# but generally it gives the best results.
Yes, this bolt comes with the firing pin and extractor. MKidd
Tony Kidd I just ordered the extractor and firing pin kit off of your website. Does the extractor come with the little metal spacer that is attached to the spring?
have the bolt and one of his triggers... good stuff...
lol
Glad you got a Canadian distributor!
Yes, this bolt will drop into a Ruger or any clone with no modification. It is a complete assembly.
Beautiful bolt!
Your KIDD bolt will hold up just fine to dry firing. MKidd
That's exactly what i need for my round scraping jamomatic
Work for you?
i need this bolt!
You know, I was just talking to my wife and she thinks that if we go to $2 we could sell even more. I'll have to do some serious number crunching however to figure out if this is the absolutely best way to go bankrupt.
Awesome products, I'm totally sold on Kidd products and can't wait to get my hands on a 2 stage trigger. This may be a stupid question as I'm reasonably new to the Ruger 10/22, but how does this bolt handle dry fires? Better than the stock bolt or is there another solution for those of us that don't like to count?
@4FunGuns The scalloped bolt is just as smooth as the non scalloped bolt. No difference in fit or function.
great
I am wondering if anyone has tried adding just this bolt and a trigger and stock barrel and what results they got. veyr nice part there.
Does this come fully assembled?
Will this work With a CST Centrix -22 semi-Auto Receiver?
as that is the Manufactuere speaking I was wondering if these bolts were tried slightly oversized width wise as a lot of rugers are pretty loose it seems maybe just 5 or ten thousanths per side and what that ended up with accuracy wise?
so am i able to drop this into my old 10/22 with no mods to the gun? also does it come as the complete bolt or would i need to order the firing pin and extractor as well?
Where can I get one of these ?
Will this cycle subsonic?
The black scalloped bolt will be my final purchase for my custom build. I bought your charging handle with different springs. The question I have is do any of the springs that came with the charging handle allow me to use subsonic ammo without having any malfunctions? Any input would be greatly appreciated thank you very much. Also just installed Your trigger upgrade and I miss I must say it is one of the cleanest braking triggers I own on any weapon. Thank you for all your hard work you’re parts are top shelf.
Thanks Darrell. The standard spring should cycle subsonic ammo with no issues. TK
is there a 1022 bolt that reduses heaspace
Wow. Really shiny. Add some LEDs and they’ll really sell.
Why didn't we think of that? Good shooting! Mary Kidd
Can you send to Canada and price.I want for my 10 22 ruger
the match ammos normally perform better but we don't have a favorite.
Tony kidd. Big fan of your stuff ordered parts the other day and got an email within minutes it was shipped. Will you guys ever cone out with your own stock and get away from magpul?
I'm preparing to buy a Kidd barreled action, supergrade with all the bells & whistles (been shooting his trigger for years). It'll go into a Victor Company Titan stock, which has provision for Kidd's receiver rear tang and aluminum bed blocks read to go. Magpul Hunter is nice, but for only a little more the Titan is a perfect fit. It also has all the swivel studs and QD cups installed from the factory unlike Magpul.
I really liked these bolts but they’re never in stock anymore. Had to go with the tandemkross bolt. I think kidd bolts are a step above the rest but just can’t get one. :( I do however have the magazine release plunger and love it.
I bought one a few years back and have been very happy with it. Sorry I didn’t buy it sooner and now maybe I should have bought another
@@willard8245 lmao ! You’d be surprised, business has been good. I do from time to time fall back on architecture. 😬
Old post but figured I'd give it a shot. With your tandemkross bolt out of the gun can you move the extractor far enough that it will pop out? They sent me a replacement and it still does it with any extractor brand. They said it's by design but figured I'd ask somebody else that has one.
@@natesmith2408 yes it’s designed that way, that’s how you get them out for replacement, spring repair and cleaning when necessary
Anyone know the weight of these things?
how much does that cost?
Will this fit the 10/22 takedown receiver?
T-Top Tony yes
Hi,
Is there any difference in headspace between the Kidd and Ruger bolts? If so, what is it?
Thanks.
The KIDD bolt headspace at .042" . The other guy ranges from .038' -.048"
@@coolguyguns10xKIDD thanks.
I'm going to build a 10/22 with a hogue stock and every other component will be Kidd.
How much
Any Canadian distributors?
Visit our website for some international dealers and we work closely with an exporter in the states.
Our CNC bolt assembly is $99.95.
We get best results with Eley tenex.
@@nopro5433 Try Ruger 10 round magazines. The high capacity mags are usually problematic. I always number my mags so I can identify the ones that cause malfunctions. If this doesn't solve your issues give us a call and we will make things right. Good Shooting TK
I want one but none are in stock.
Hi Mr. Goodman, Thank you for your interest. Currently in April 2021, we are backordered on all four of our bolt options. We are working to remedy this situation. Good shooting! Mary Kidd
@@tonykidd1394 Thanks. I'll be watching. I hope you and yours are healthy. Mr. Kidd's products get a lot of respect at Appleseed events! Many shooters have recommended his products to me.
How much would you hive me one for?If i do some reviews for you!
4140 isn’t a “tool steel” 🙄
It’s an alloy…
I wish Kidd was building the 10/22, instead of Ruger. Great design, but very poor, out of spec, junk made by Ruger. We end up with a Kidd rifle anyways, after having to replace all of the shitty Ruger parts, to get it to function properly. Oh, I've also got a Rossi that is more accurate than my 10/22. Every .22 I own is more accurate.... People still praise it, for some reason. lol. I think it's the ONLY gun they own. Has to be!!!!
thats to much!!!!!!!!!!!!if you go to $50 you would sell alot more!I would buy one then
