@@GuppyChannel the more nutritious and varied the food, the larger my broods are. My albino all reds typically produce 24 - 60 fry where as my Dumbo ear mosaic broods are 75 - 120
@@GuppyChannel I usually allow my virgin females to grow to 2 inches long prior to using them as breeders. Depending on the variety, they can be 4 to 6 mths old. My albino reds and black batman lines grow faster than my dumbo ear mosaic.
The ready made commercial preparations may be best as they are designed according to the species & their nutritional requirements in mind, however in my case these are not available locally and importing them turns out too expensive so I need to find locally available foods to provide the best nutrition for my fish in the circumstances.
Has anyone tried yourfishstuff brine shrimp eggs? I am currently looking for a cheaper brine shrimp egg that has a decent hatch rate. I also don’t know if I should buy brine shrimp eggs from my local fish stores.
