Excellent job on getting that lovely fish in david .. i know personally how difficult trying to bring fish over the deeper and shallow drop offs around cambois rocks so you did bloody great there bud 👌🏻🎣 even more credit for getting that stamp of fish in a daytime session .. your a top angler so doesnt surprise me and your enthusiasm is infectious .. over the moon to see you get that fish in mate .. fantastic footage and editing as always 👌🏻👌🏻
I agree with you 100% David, the power of the ocean and indeed the rivers is not to be messed with. I live near the River Wear and a couple of times I've been almost caught out when there's been rain higher up in Weardale, I've not known and the river rose up very quickly and I was almost left marooned on a small island. Thank fully the route back to the bankside wasn't too deep, but I still got a soaking, had I not noticed, I would have been a gonner. Always pay attention to you surroundings and keep yourself aware and safe. Water it a powerful mistress. Another great video and patience shown towards extracting the fish. Alan.

Get in david well done top rod mate Shame it wasnt the open you would of won scoop scoop with that fish haha aye that ledge mate av had a few that av bumped of or either hung is up and a think the bigger fish tend to lie on in that area when theres a sea on fishes better to the right tho on the flood and on the open a lasted 2 hours thought me hands were gona fall off haha a fished the same spot at cambois the night b4 you on the friday night managed 2 small codling that was it cumming to a end now a think for winter anyways good footage and a lovely fish well in pal👌🏻🎣
see you weighed the fish with the hooks and bait still in its gob, that must be half a pound to take off, and have you ever tried a normal rig with a lead lift on, or thought like the carp boys and drop the lead on the take

Seems like low water rocks marks are the way to go since they give you access to the reefs, kelp beds and rock structures that are always submerged for the residential cod. How early do you usually arrive at a low tide rock mark, and how far down and up low tide do you fish?
