But Adam, I think you’re being unfair to AMD. When showing the charts of both companies on StockOracle, you pointed out how NVIDIA performed well in 2024, but you only showed AMD’s performance up to 2023. Both companies dipped significantly in 2023, yet for NVDA, you included its recovery in 2024, while AMD’s chart stops at 2023. That’s not a fair comparison-it’s not apples to apples. Shouldn’t both companies include data up to 2024, which was a strong year for both? Or am I missing something here?

NVDA market cap is 3.2 trillion, AMD market cap is 200 billion. NVDA market cap is 16x AMDs. But is NVDAs revenue 16x AMDs revenue? No it isnt.... If NVDA is not overvalued then AMD is certainly not overvalued..... AMD is extremely undervalued in my opinion...
thank you so much for sharing the algorithm of your analysis, and I like it very much. I learn so much from you, and you are a such an excellent teacher.
Jensen Huang established NVDA in 1993. Lisa Su was appointed as CEO to lead the reborn of AMD that was almost bankrupt in 2014. Since then AMD has grown rapidly to catch up NVDA. No doubt to the performance & capability of Lisa Su. Lisa Su is the TIME Magazine's CEO of the Year for 2024. 👍👍

So basically, we shouldn't buy both, as one is correctly priced, and one is severely overvalued. Price will only go down from here. Is this what you're saying?
Can sell put option for Nvidia. Or buy Nvidia if haven't buy yet. Strong and reputable companies hardly have an undervalue opportunity, time in the market beats timing the market
Broad com does custom XPUs. Nvidia does standard (mainstream) GPUs. Different use cases and both are used in different applications. They don't overlap that much.

I currently have about $120k invested in PLTR and I'm looking for additional stocks to diversify across different markets. My goal is to create a well-balanced portfolio that mitigates risk while achieving returns that keep pace with yearly inflation.
Amd is still in the right business for the right time. The metrics look horrible from 2022-2024 but last earnings is signaling the growth could be exploding with improved metrics. And lets face it nvda puts out revenue growth for 30-50% coming quarters stock gonna tank vs if amd posts 30-50% it wont. And amd still ha room to surprise vs it will be difficult for nvda to shock anyone with their quarterly results now (set the bar too high already lol).
Bro only using statistics to evaluate AMD. You need to account first principles too. Using a 35%,15% range of FCF growth for AMD is ludicrous. Problem with DCF valuation it doesn't include the fact that AMD are new entrant to the AI market. They are building their own ecosystem (see ROCm vs CUDA) and is a huge relief to customers as an alternative to the hyper pricey upcoming Blackwell. Nvidia stock price is surely to grow to at least 3-5x by 2030 due to demand (especially) from the hyperscalers since the next 2 years decides who wins the AI race. But at the same time hyperscalers scalping for Nvidia chips will cause most of the sub trillion capped companies to be forced to look for more affordable alternatives (i.e MIxxxx chips by AMD). Lisa Su notice this gap and this market will be a major one for them to grab from Nvidia. The question left would be the adoption rate of ROCm ecosystem. As Nvidia CUDA is already the industrial standard (circa 20 years), AMD will have to speed up in building the tools for the developer community to enable faster adoption of the ecosystem. In conclusion, the AI market is currently expected to grow circa 10x by 2030. Nvidia would not be able to service the entire value chain (scaling up takes time) leaving market share for AMD.
Honestly, I prefer NVIDIA because they are well-positioned to sustain long-term growth and provide a solid platform for other AI companies. I’d love to hear your thoughts on SOFI, AMZN, and TSLA. I have $211k available to explore opportunities.
