my theory is he started off acting and then slowly spiralled, you can tell that he’s acting at first but as he continues it gets more frantic as if he can’t stop, he acted manic until he actually was.
ngl I watched this for the first time and went “that’s not manic I’m like that all the time” and safe to say I’m doing some research into bipolar disorders
I just have like ADHD combined + Autism + PTSD + GAD + MDD + ODD and I think those cause insomnia that looks like lack of sleep, add my disregard for social norms, wacky wild hyperfixations and just overall unexplained speaking skills [vocally] and I would say I look Hypomanic. it's why psychiatry is just a wacky field, Schizoid, Autism and Childhood Neglect can all look the same. Anyway Bipolar is serious I've seen a lotta people do a lotta things with it so if you think you have it it's one of the ones were a diagnosis and proper treatment can up your quality of life so go at it bestie pal home slice

@@silverstarlight9395yeah I don’t think St. Jude’s was meant to be dead nice. They barely even follow regulation. Pretty good for the 90s though, I’d reckon.
literally top 10 most nerve wracking scenes in tv history my heart was beating so hard when i thought he was genuinely going to jump. david's a brilliant actor
The saddest part, even though he was faking it, everybody was as getting really worried because they know Campbell, and they know what can happen when he starts to spiral 😞
@sodiemay I think he said that because he was acting at first, and then around 2:00 he snapped and actually went manic. He didn't take his meds that day either, so it was more likely to happen
This is not a realistic depiction of how a psych hospital deals with a patient having a manic episode. The staff don't resort to manhandling the patient until all other measures to calm him down have been applied, unless the patient is being physically violent towards others. Also, no mental health nurse would pin down and undress a patient in a room which wasn't completely private.
I was legitimately worried about him spiraling and when he got sedated it was just hard to watch. My jaw dropped when he said he was acting :0
OMG SAME, I JUST SAW IT. I'm afraid of needles, and i gotta admit it traumatised me
Just shows what an amazing actor David Tennant is
This man was 100% born to act in dramas. The talent is incredible!

Almost forgot he was young too
OH HE WAS
Ahahah i JUST watched the second épisode and I had the same Thought process
loving your character development lmao
im in love
you, me, and the rest of them 😂
True hun true (it’s unhealthy)
Edit: I was wrong about the meds, the cabinet was full of the little sedation shot bottle things, but I still don't think he was acting.
what about the scene when he's in bed and he says to eddy, "pretty great acting, eh?" and he winks?
@sodiemay I think he said that because he was acting at first, and then around 2:00 he snapped and actually went manic. He didn't take his meds that day either, so it was more likely to happen
im pretty sure he's not faking
He's faking. At the end of episode he told Eddie he is good actor, or something like that, I didn't understand well. English is not my first language
@@isisferrer2015 these comments making me feel stupid smh
@@dyisbored Don't worry, I felt stupid in almost every episode, the Scottish accent is hard to understand
To be fair, whether or not the character is faking, it's not a real manic episode, because David Tennant is Acting.
Well, it's possible it started out fake but that Campbell hyped himself up so much that it became real. That can happen

This was set in the 90’s maybe things were different then, but also maybe it was just to add drama
he was also like,, very close to jumping out of a window
